  1. With CT coaching my money would be on the Mustangs. Slot T would be stopped dead in its tracks. In addition this current WOS team would not be in fourth place limping into the playoffs. Unfortunately this WOS staff will be out coached and out executed. Lack of discipline and untimely penalties will doom the Mustangs. Too many quality kids and families to not have the very best coaching they can get. It’s very tough watching the Mustang football program become just another program. Years of hard work blood sweat and tears to build a juggernaut of a program all being dismantled at an alarming rate. Our kids and community deserve better. We can do better!

  8. AI's prediction: It is difficult to predict the outcome of a sporting event with certainty, as there are many factors that can influence the result. However, I can provide you with some information that may help you make an informed prediction. West Orange-Stark Mustangs, Record: 5-5 Strengths: High-powered offense, experienced quarterback Bellville Brahmas, Record: 10-0 Strengths: Strong defense, experienced running back Based on each team's record and game statistics, the Bellville Brahmas have the advantage in this contest. They have a better record, allow fewer points per game, and have a powerful running back. However, the West Orange-Stark Mustangs have a high-powered offense and an experienced quarterback, so they should not be counted out. Ultimately, the outcome of this game will depend on which team plays better on the day. If the West Orange-Stark Mustangs can limit their turnovers and make a few big plays, they could pull off an upset. However, if the Bellville Brahmas can control the clock and run the ball effectively, they should be able to win this game. Here is my prediction: Bellville Brahmas 32, West Orange-Stark Mustangs 26

  9. Hey, better than last year. You never know what will happen. That's why they play the game. Could it be a butt wippen? Heck yeah. Go in there dogs and play loose. Go in there as if you own the place. You might wake up some old echoes.

    Whats this about

Where I work has nothing to do with this, and I didn't think this was a right or wrong situation. It doesn't affect me in anyway. Schools across the state have opted up for years. I'm called biased for my PNG background and now HJ lol. My parents went to TJ. Grandparents to Hemphill and Orange. So let's throw some more in there haha. We'll leave out the cousins a HF, Bridge City, etc.

  12. I'm old school and I like just two teams going to playoffs. But, I'm good with 4 teams as long as every district has a minimum 7-8 teams. I don't like 4 teams going out of a district that has just 4-6 teams in it. A team should be required to win more district games than they lose or at least be .500 to get a playoff spot. I have seen some playoff teams only win one district game and actually seen a team go without winning a district game because they were in a district with just 4 teams. I could care less what a teams overall record is because non-district games don't factor in and some teams schedule harder than others in non district. But IMO, a team should have at minimum a .500 record in district play to qualify.

  13. Pretty good one in the first round. I'll be coming out of retirement and will be in the broadcast booth for this one. Looking forward to a great game and broadcast. What's everyone's thoughts on this match up?

  16. Wrong. Little Sister Mauriceville. New acronym. It’s a reference to LCM bejng WOS’s little sister. If you read all the posts instead of just trolling, you would have seen that.

I see spelling is not high on the curriculum in Lumberton, but again I figured as much coming from the eyesore between Beaumont and Silsbee.

  21. If you look at our schedule… our closest game was a 31-3 win over Navasota who yes finished the year 4-6 and missed the playoffs but also beat 4A D1 #9 Bay City 30-26. That game Bellville struggled on offense in the first half and was only up 3-0 at halftime. Then went on to out score Navasota 28-3 in the second half. Probably doesn’t mean much but Bellville beat them worse than 4A D1 #4 Iowa Colony (37-21) as well… We can argue regular season schedules and strength of schedule all we want which is fine it’s good cooler talk but at the end of the day tomorrow night is what matters. I think it’s two good teams regardless of records and I think Bellville wins by a couple scores in a close one. Silsbee, HF, and Jasper didn’t blow out WOS and neither will we.

People won't like thier reason but its actually a good move. Kids these will jump ship if you lose in football and morale in the community goes down. Just look at WB. 20 kids transferred out in Aug last yr b/c of the losing.

  32. Great job by the FBW staff. They seemed to improve all season long and finished higher than most anticipated. I’m glad the Dogs played them early in the season because I’m not sure we would beat them now.

  35. Anyone that thinks it's WOS wanting to move up should consider our overall athletics record over the past year and a half. We would not be #1 in 4ad1. Maybe top 10 for 3ad1?

  36. HJ and Liberty currently compete in all sports from junior high up to varsity against Liberty, Huffman, Livingston, Splendora and Hamshire-Fannett. Football is the only district that doesn't look like that. So to me if there's no rule against it and they choose to move up, let it be.

  43. Unfortunately, I hate to say this, but I think the end result of this game will show the fallacy of 4 teams in the playoffs. The playoffs used to be something of pride. Now for the first and second place teams it still is. Why did they go to 3 and 4? Is it playoff money for schools? The touchy-feely thought of working towards "everybody gets a participation ribbon?" I tend to lean towards the former. If it's the latter, why not allow all the teams to make the playoffs? Come close the circle and complete the joke! Ned beating all the weak teams to gain a "playoff" spot, really, is this a badge of honor? If you end up getting embarrassed because you really shouldn't be there, where's the honor? Concerning this, being the tallest midget in the room doesn't help much! I'm more concerned with the UIL changing this so not to put teams like this in an bad situation. I've seen 2-8 and 3-7 teams make the playoffs. Really?! Thoughts?!
