Parish Episcopal beat LBJ handily back in September, and also beat Aledo, then lost a close one to SOC, also in September. So that's sort of a comparison using high school football logic. I've seen recent press articles that indicate SOC has some injured players now, particularly on offense, but apparently it's still the same old defense. LBJ was very athletic, undisciplined, and played a sandlot style of football, and IMO was the dirtiest playing team PNG has seen to date. But I think the toughest playoff game was with FBM. With all due respect for Liberty Hill, last Friday was sort of a vacation for PNG. IMO if PNG can beat LBJ, then they can beat SOC, but everyone has to be on top of their game, including whoever plays center. No bad snaps, no turnovers, Crippen has a good game, along with a solid defense, and PNG can win it. I think that if this team really wants it, they can take it to SOC.

PNG Football Throwback Thursday

To my knowledge never or before my time. But I can ask. Now the local TASO Basketball chapter has done several state tournament games over the years.

FW Chapter is one the better chapters in the state minus the crew that did last night's game.

#5 for Albany can really run. He’s a heckuva athlete. Big kid too. He could play for just about any program in Texas. #4 is a brute too. Mart needs to stop being cute, and just run #2 between the tackles. Then occasionally get #4 the ball in space. You can tell they have never had to sustain drives. Feeling good about PNG Football right now. From what I have seen starting the year to now, this team has peaked at the State Championship game. There will be a mass of people at this game. I will be one of them. I saw the 1975 game, the 1999 game & I will enjoy the 2022 game backing my Indian boys 100%. 😄👍🏈 PNG HAS A SPECIAL SPIRIT, PASS IT ON!!!
