I agree, Crosby definitely has some stuff to clean up because we could’ve beat y’all worse had we made more of the plays that were there. If you think one lineman being out is the reason PAM lost then you probably can’t figure out why y’all are losing to 4th place teams in bi-district either.

What is the old saying about a prevent defense? It prevents you from winning.

Crazy part is that Crosby’s staff would probably beat us by with 20 with PAM’s players. I think what you saw tonight is the difference between Crosby getting to play/schedule a bunch of teams like PAM and knowing how to win when you’re outmanned vs PAM who doesn’t schedule a bunch of teams like Crosby and has trouble finding a second act when you can’t purely out-athlete the other team. PAM isn’t that far behind Manvel talent wise but they’re a ways off on the sideline.

Silsbee. They looked like a REAL team for 3 and 7/8 quarters. Silsbee dominated. I think if they keep playing like this they will win district and make a good run in the playoffs.

I talked to some of the players after the game and even some of the players didn’t understand why they were put into basically a prevent the whole 4th qtr and the offense settled on 1 receiver they have 2 other talented receivers that could have easily made life even harder for Nederland but they were not on the field the entire 4th Silsbee coaching staff balled this game up and threw it in the trash no disrespect to Nederland but Silsbee had numerous chances to put this game away coaching was very questionable during the entire 4th qtr.

Dayton out here whipping people like Crosby needs two weeks to prepare for them. Glad we got it and congrats to a fan base that really deserves one to go their way.

I’ll work on getting all the stats posted, but you’re right about these 3 for Silsbee. Brisbane had 313 yards passing with 3 tds, also a rushing td. Dodd had 186 yards rushing, definitely a huge turnaround there from the first game. That’s the kind of rushing game we’ve come to expect under coach Smith. And Miller had a beast of a game!! 228 receiving yards with 3 tds, and add a interception on defense. The young sophomore keeps showing out two games in a row.

I think you mean #45 Chancellor Bradley? Kid was a beast last night, especially in the second half. Crosby’s front is legit. Holding Manvel to 28 offensive points, holding both Carthage and PAM to 20 offensive points is a pretty solid three game stretch for a defense replacing 8 starters. Feels like we’re on the right track.

After calming down from the game and having time to evaluate the teams, this is my opinion Silsbee and WOS will battle for the district championship with OF, HF, HJ, and Liberty battling for the other 2 spots Silsbee and WOS have a lot of very good athletes. They will be fine Nederland showed a lot of character in coming back. That will help them in district They lack speed and must learn to quit arm tackling on defense. The offense could be good. It appears that the QB’s problem is that he throws many passes too late. He must improve on his timing Hopefully they will continue to improve and make the playoffs The district looks very good this year. It is going to be tough to make the top 4

Yes Nederland was the fav we won was down big and came back. But to say it will help Silsbee more than Nederland is very premature. Unless you got a glass ball over there. A mixed bad. It was just a bad 4th qtr overall for the Tigers. Keep building. Distrixt championships and long playoff runs start with games like this. They are young and will keep getting better. Hurts to lose a game like this but you gotta keep building.

I said that the last few weeks. Formations at not getting defenses out of position if they sit on us. We need motion and quick hitters. The QB needs to get rid of the ball quick IMO. Once again, I’m just a blind squirrel looking for a nut. All my posts are opinions!!

5-6. Although with Nederland struggling we might could go 6-5. I think if Reed comes back healthy and they put him on defense, that will help. We had 250 yards of offense tonight. Unless we get Landon involved we are going to struggle. We had a few injuries on defense that once they are back will help. If you sit in man coverage the only one who will and can break it is Landon. We need to work on quick passes so the QB has confidence IMO. And defensively we could use some coaching up. We have some good athletes on each side of the ball. I’m not upset over tonight’s beat down. I’m not a rah rah. This should show what we got exposed to and help the D coordinator make some changes. Offensively we need to be quick on anything we do. Mix in the run and eat clock. But hey I’m not a coach. Just a moron who read Coach Klein’s coaching for dummies!

This is a pretty good assessment. I agree with this a lot. I think BC only chance is to control clock, keep HH offense on sideline for as long as possible and that will take a LOT of 1st downs and sustaining multiple drives - which will be tough too because HH defense is stout as well

Well I’ve been quiet to long!!!!! Anyone that knows me know I’m a supporter of the school in the pear-orchard. First off How a 0-30 coach even get a phone call let alone an Application(Mr. AD) second/ I’ve been supporting this school for over 20 years and I’m trying to figure out why the same assistant coaches are being recycled!!! Don’t get me wrong not all but they know who they are. And they know who I am!! It’s a shame that these kids have to go threw this year after year. I know coaches don’t play one down but at least put the kids in the position to be successful!!! As for the (AD) you knew this man was not the person for the head coach position based off his résumé!!! There for You need to explain your reasons for the pick!! And if you didn’t know he showed you a 5-5 season last year he tried to leave for a New head coaching position in the same District (how dumb)!! And at the end of the day our team is going to Reflect The head coach!!!

I would say that is equally as distasteful as what we've been discussing here.
