I thought the purpose of scrimmages were to get ready for the season, not kill each other!

Actually, I do take in consideration "actual" head to head match ups. Just not the hypothetical kind.

There are not enough six man teams to do that and we didn't want them excluded entirely.

I saw pictures today of a scrimmage from lastnight. The state doesn't matter. But what I saw gave me some hope that this could work. I know this was just one scrimmage but it gave me chills. FOOTBALL IS IN THE AIR AGAIN. Dropped passes hard hits I loved all 43 pictures of it and I felt alive and it made me wanna say blank the rona and let's do this!!! Everyone that wasn't in the game had their mask on. The crowd was spaced out with stickers on the bleachers that said sit here. It was just perfect. that really got me Jacked. As long as we follow protocol week in and week out and don't get laxed on any of them we might just be alright. STAMP TIME BABY!! THE HORSESHOE 22 LA VEGA 17!! There were a lot of scores from last week that were not reported. Part of that is my fault as I didn't get game threads up as I was in Houston on Tuesday and Friday for medical tests, but I should have gotten them up the night before (like I am doing right now for tomorrow). Sorry ladies, the lay off has been a long one for me, too.

No doubt Silsbee has to be the favorite. They’re a highly ranked team, and coming off a great season, with quite a few returning starters. If Vidor is not able to control the ball (time of possession), it could get very ugly. That’s all I’m basing my prediction of a close game on. I do admit I’m more excited for HS football than I’ve been in a long time. It’s a giant leap toward normalcy, something we haven’t had in six months (which seems like six years). 😄

I think it being such an early game is going to have a big effect on who wins either way. That being said, I still think Silsbee wins... In any normal year I'd be at this one.

there were several leagues that had a season. BC, PNG, VID, NED babe ruth, mid county babe ruth etc... i don't remember seeing many mask at any of those locations.

That’s what we used to call “not sick at all” or “not sick” or maybe “feeling pretty good.” There are 550+ active cases in Hardin County right now with 13 hospitalized. None on respirators. Nobody passed away this week. That’s not a epidemic or a pandemic. That’s a nasty cold.
