  3. I’ll applaud any movement that I think is legit. If BLM was about black lives mattering, you wouldn’t hear a peep out of just about anyone. I will try and squash any movement I feel is misrepresented, especially when it is communist in nature. Too many people have died fighting communism to simply allow them to roam our streets and attack and rob at will. It will come to a head soon.

  4. Floyd was no sweetheart, that's for sure, but if you want to bring up history that may have caused his death, don't leave out history of the guy that killed him. [Hidden Content] I can just about guarantee you that there are lots of cops that said "Well, kinda saw that coming". Chauvin is apparently a cop that made plenty of bad decisions, too bad one of them ended with a death.

  6. This is the reason I don't get on this board anymore....everyone is a political pundit and we can't just talk about high school football. Sir, I grew up in Vidor, Tx, am a lifelong resident and everything you have listed here is absolutely wrong. 1. Whites only After Dark sign was taken down in the late 1960's; it was at a private business on Main Street. It was removed along with the Ku Klux Klan store that was there until 1975. That store stood at the intersection of Main and Old Highway 90. I know this because I bought a black friend of mine a T-shirt from there so he could wear it to school (Orange Stark HIgh). We ran track together. 2. Cross was burned at halftime of the Vidor / PA Lincoln game also in 1974. We were leading 14 - 13 at halftime until the idiots (Klan) did this. Lincoln went on to win by 30 after that. I've attended nearly every Vidor home game since the early 70's and don't recall a cross being burned at a Central football game. I do remember both teams going to the center of the football field and praying together after each game. 3. Due to heavy pressure from the FBI, the KKK was essentially gone from my hometown by 1980. Most of the leadership of the KKK relocated to Cleveland, TX. They were also the ones that marched in Vidor when the housing project was desegregated in 1992. This would be the march that Henry Cisneros was involved in.No monthly meetings but if I hear about one, I'll let you know. 4. Black children have been attending Vidor schools since the late 1980's without much fanfare and not any incidents I'm aware of. If President Obama is black, then we have approximately 100 black children in Vidor schools now. But, since none of us Americans can claim a straight, pure racial heritage back to Noah, who knows what race of kids we have. We're all pretty well mongrels. 5. We can't do anything about how much Evadale stinks. 6. BLM marched in Vidor without incident, I know, I was there; I agree with the message in part. Funny thing is that you want to erase the Confederate history of the US but won't forget the history of my hometown. That's the problem with leftists, selective memory and revisionist history. 7. If you truly feel badly about living in Bridge City, be somebody, move to Vidor!!!

  14. I'm did not see anywhere in the article where this guy gave any evidence of Man Made Global Warming. He basically said most people were ignorant of science (which I don't really disagree) and he was forced out of NASA for sticking to his Man Made Global Warming mantra. I didn't see any evidence in the article that should warrant giving credence to this guy's beliefs. If you know something more about his research/evidence, please share. A possibly disgruntled former NASA employee in no way persuades me to join the Man Made Global Warming cult.

  20. Would you care to compose a list of capitalism failures and socialism/communist failures and see which list is considerably longer? In what countries are minorities experiencing a better life than they are in the United States? ( Hint- everyone trying to get into this country is not because it is a bad place) If you do not condone rioting and looting, why would you tell me that in order to be respected to you, I must talk about that "fairly"? Is there anything fair/justifiable in rioting and looting? ( Sorry, but I don't believe that the "cause is so noble that anything goes") Was Ferguson, MIssouri a case of police brutality or a case of certain folks trying to advance an agenda with faulty information? I would also suggest you needn't lecture me(via poorly veiled condescension) on my ability to grasp concepts.

  21. Pretty good evidence that BLM leadership is Marxist. I doubt most followers even know anything about Marxism. There’s no doubt about Antifa. What a joke. They claim to be anti-fascist, while following the fascist playbook. Calling Antifa anti-fascist is like calling The Marine Corp, The Peace Corp. [Hidden Content]

Have no desire for the respect of anyone who believes that their viewpoint, and ONLY their viewpoint is valid/credible while all that disagree are somehow less worthy as human beings. While you are responding to this, please show me the virtues of socialism in Cuba and Venezuela. Are there any bad actors in law enforcement in those countries?

Go to work and don’t be fooled by those on the left OR the right who have ulterior motives for keeping us under their thumb. Take away Fauci’s alter and get back to normal. I repeat, don’t shut us down again. One step forward and two steps back has never been a good plan for success. WE as a people are just as smart or smarter than those we hired to lead us. Please let us decide what works for ourselves.

  28. My response to you was more harsh than it needed to be. I’m going to keep expressing my ideas, but I’m going to TRY to do so without insulting people. Or at least without insulting people as often. It’s the same attitude that we always hear. Everybody wants to excuse and ignore the behaviors that created the situation, and place all blame solely on the police. When some redneck in Kentucky gets methed up and is beating his ol’ lady when the cops show up and he ends up dead... white people really don’t care. We’re like “yeah... he kinda had that one coming.” George Floyd literally did time for pressing a pistol against a pregnant woman’s belly during and armed robbery, and they paint murals of him with a halo... no joke. He was high on fentanyl, passing funny money, and mildly resisting arrest when all of this kicked off, and people say “well, he would have been alive if the cops hadn’t made bad decisions.” It’s all about accountability... I won’t start to lose weight until I admit that I’m fat. Saying “well, everybody could stand to lose a few pounds“ isn’t going to fix my hypertension. If your community has high crime and tons of people get arrested, the solution isn’t “abolish the police and dismantle the justice system.” The solution is to address the amount of crimes that occur.

  29. 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Wonderful response to Chicago Tribune recommendation to change Washington Redskins name. Sports fans and most everybody else will get a kick out of this letter written to the Chicago Tribune. No matter which side you are on in the matter of renaming the Washington Redskins, this is funny. This is an email supposedly sent to Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune after an article he published concerning a name change for the Washington Redskins ~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Mr. Page: I agree with our Native American population. I am highly jilted by the racially charged name of the Washington Redskins. One might argue that to name a professional football team after Native Americans would exalt them as fine warriors, but nay, nay. We must be careful not to offend, and in the spirit of political correctness and courtesy, we must move forward. Let's ditch the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians. If your shorts are in a wad because of the reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to get rid of the Cleveland Browns. The Carolina Panthers obviously were named to keep the memory of militant Blacks from the 60's alive. Gone. It's offensive to us white folk. The New York Yankees offend the Southern population. Do you see a team named for the Confederacy? No! There is no room for any reference to that tragic war that cost this country so many young men's lives. I am also offended by the blatant references to the Catholic religion among our sports team names. Totally inappropriate to have the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Angels or the San Diego Padres. Then there are the team names that glorify criminals who raped and pillaged. We are talking about the horrible Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Pirates! Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children. The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible fighting or even spending habits. Wrong message to our children. The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity, a growing childhood epidemic. Wrong message to our children. The Cincinnati Reds promote downers/barbiturates. Wrong message to our children. The Milwaukee Brewers. Well that goes without saying. Wrong message to our children. So, there you go. We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should. Just the kind of thing the do-nothing Congress loves. As a die-hard Oregon State fan, my wife and I, with all of this in mind, suggest it might also make some sense to change the name of the Oregon State women's athletic teams to something other than "The Beavers" (especially when they play Southern California. Do we really want the Trojans sticking it to the Beavers?) I always love your articles and I generally agree with them. As for the Redskins name I would suggest they change the name to the "Foreskins" to better represent their community, paying tribute to the dick heads in Washington DC. Forgot the Chicago Blackhawks !

Up until then, yalls drums were just playing the part. Then we showed them what they were capable of. It won't be the same if we don't hear the drums from miles away this fall. Its not just "How will Football Look". Its gotta sound right too. You know, atmosphere.

  33. He wasn’t that good of a friend, lol. More of a guy that I knew. And nobody was charged with manslaughter, either. What you’re saying is very possible. It’s also possible that if Mr Floyd had been peacefully placed into the back of that squad car, he’d have died there. And it’s entirely possible that without the stress of the difficult arrest, Floyd would still be alive. We just don’t know. But he definitely didn’t deserve to die while some cop ground his head into the concrete. We can all agree on that, anyways.
    1 point
  34. Very sorry about your friend, but I was talking about a situation where someone is placed in a situation I described involuntarily. I understand the toxicology report may be unable to put any direct blame on Chauvin and also that Floyd put himself in a bad spot by his own actions. I also believe if any other cop would have showed up that day, Floyd would most likely still be alive.

  38. This is what delusion looks like we can have a video of someone being Killed and still refuse to accept that reality. One will have to believe that Floyd was going to die that Day regardless simply over the drugs he took. When the video first start Floyd is alive and well able to scream talk clear mind. 8 mins after police have knee on his neck he’s unconscious. It’s amazing and telling how far some will go . If Floyd was kneeling on the cop neck nobody nobody will be asking if it was Murder. This is getting sad

    This Board Needs....

I was reading about the judge still not dismissing the Michael Flynn case because Flynn pleaded guilty to lying...twice, and this oldie came to mind: Farmer Angus A farmer named Angus had a car accident. He was hit by a truck owned by the Eversweet Company. In court, the Eversweet Company's hot-shot lawyer was questioning Angus. "Didn't you say to the policeman at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine'?"asked the lawyer. Angus responded: "Well, I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite cow, Bessie, into the..." "I didn't ask for any details", the lawyer interrupted. "Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine!'?" Angus said, "Well, I had just got Bessie into the trailer and I was driving down the road...." The lawyer interrupted again and said, "Your Honor, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the police on the scene that he was fine. Now several weeks after the accident, he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question." By this time, the Judge was fairly interested in Angus' answer and said to the lawyer: "I'd like to hear what he has to say about his favorite cow, Bessie". Angus thanked the Judge and proceeded. "Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favorite cow, into the trailer and was driving her down the road when this huge Eversweet truck and trailer came through a stop sign and hit my trailer right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other. I was hurt, very bad, and didn't want to move. However, I could hear old Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible pain just by her groans. Shortly after the accident, a policeman on a motorbike turned up. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, and saw her condition, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes. Then the policeman came across the road, gun still in hand, looked at me, and said, 'How are you feeling?' Now just what would you have said"?

  45. There’s your first problem. You’ve already been convinced. If I had to guess, you were probably convinced before toxicology reports came in. I’m basically George Floyd’s age. He was more athletic than me, but I don’t have his hypertension and artery disease. The point I’m making is this... if somebody kneels on my neck just like that cop did to him for 8 minutes, I’m not gonna die. I’m not gonna like it, but I’ll live. You would, too. Don’t get me wrong... I’m not offering to let any of you clowns prove my theory, but it’s my theory nonetheless. I had a friend who died during a stress test, and “no,”’ his cardiologist wasn’t charged with murder, and neither his nurses nor his billing clerks were charged as accessories.

  46. George couldn’t even stand up when they were arresting. If he was screaming, he wasn’t choking. It’s ugly, it shouldn’t have happened, and Chauvin isn’t blameless. He shouldn’t have held him down for 8+ minutes. There’s no justification for that whatsoever. The fact of the matter is that we all see it differently. Pamfam believes that the knee is what killed him. Based on the evidence and not just my emotions... I disagree. It’s not about what you think or what you know.... it’s about what you can prove. I don’t think that they can prove causation, and therefore they can’t prove murder... regardless of what the court of popular opinion says. As far Your opinion is worth nothing when you still can’t admit that y’all have a problem with violence in the black community. You have obviously chosen to be ignorant during your walk on this earth. George Floyd would be alive today if he wasn’t overdosing on Fentanyl while passing counterfeit bills and resisting arrest. That is the most probable assumption.
