  1. I don't know its hard to adjust to SOC giant WR'S running over PNG small secondary last year, hopefully PNG has beefed up in the secondary. PNG great team with a great coach!

  2. Idk who runs NDN press but they need to give ESPN a few pointers. Broadcast is A1

  3. Some of you Silsbee fans don't seem to understand just how good this West Brook team really is. I got them finishing 2nd in a really tough 6A district. Possibly a split with United. WB is THAT good. Silsbee will be just fine. If Miller and Cartwright decide to play, they will be that much better.

  4. I share the concern. Not that we’re not hard to beat - PNg’s been pretty dang hard to beat. But, I share the concern that we’ll come up against a team we can’t move the ball running against, and won’t make adjustments. Which is exactly what happened against SOC last season. SOC adjusted in the second half. PNG didn’t .

  5. Considering we have won 8 playoff games in less than 2 years, I would say Coach McCrary has done exactly what needs to be done on a weekly basis.

  6. The zip he puts on the ball and accuracy is hard to intercept. Hell of a sophomore. Ice in his veins.

  7. he had a lesson on ball control this week so he may get some playing time.

  8. PN-G did everything it needed to do to stifle the SOC offense in the first half. SOC changed the gameplan in the second half and started throwing the ball around a lot more. Remember, up to that point in the season, SOC fielded a rush-heavy offense that hadn't been forced into the passing game very often. Any time PN-G tried to adjust to SOC's newfound passing game, SOC would go right back to running the ball. It was good coaching by SOC to keep the PN-G defense off balance and it worked. With the amount of talent SOC brought to the table, every coach in the state would be hard-pressed to find a way to make fourth quarter adjustments for that move.

  10. No one should be questioning and suggest anything the PNG coaches doing. Whatever they are doing is just fine.. only 1 thing you need to do this time of the year, just win.

  12. I have seen 58 seasons of PNG Football. Coaches are not perfect. Everyone has opinions on what "could have been" done better. We are winning. We are getting the job done on both sides of the ball. That is all a fan can ask for in Indian Football life. As my Dad would say "...opinions are like armpits, everybody has a couple & most of them stink!!!."🤪

  13. I like what he has been doing on offense. We are facing better defenses as we progress into the playoffs. Plus, we had some bad turnovers in that second half that hurt us

  14. East Chambers jumped out early due to Big Sandy committing turnovers. BS had 14 turnovers in the first half. What kept BS in the game was their rebounding, limiting EC to just one shot per possession. Down only 1 at half with 14 turnovers, one would have to be pleased. Big Sandy took care of the ball much better in 2nd half only committing 2 turnovers total. That limited EC points and forced them into a half court game. Other than #5 Bourdeaux, EC shot the ball poorly and with BS controlling the boards (out rebounded EC 38-22) the Bucs were very limited offensively. Credit to Big Sandy and Coach Foster. They made the adjustments at half and played a much better, in control basketball game to win it. BS only plays 6 players while Coach Sutherland had at least an 8-9 player rotation. Really thought that would come into play late in the game but BS just got better as the game progressed. As no surprise, the Wildcats are a very well coached team. Really good to see these two teams play each other early in the season.

  15. No HE did not win 8 playoff games in less than two years PN-G has won 8 playoff games in less two years...watch the 2nd half of last week's game and tell me if you think the offense worked...all I'm saying is mix it up a bit PN-G would be hard to beat if they did

  17. Oops. My bad. It just just gives me hope that Lee will be allowed to play in their appropriate level since all three can't be in the same district anyways.

  22. The coaches are definitely legit stratigist for sure. Very happy with how things have been going here at PNG. Been saying forever D wins championships. Although we haven't won it all, it sure is nice to get the chance. I ain't griping!

  23. It's amazing who actually wanted a cease fire to begin with. It would have been just like the same types of weirdos wanting a cease fire after Pearl Harbor! SMH!!

  24. Johnson is #3 I'd cut them some slack since they just stepped off the football field 3 days ago and maybe in a few weeks all will be right in Tiger land. Don't want to be on the verge of acting like West Orange Stark football fans over a few bad games, although I think some people in the crowd last night were already there lol.

  25. Yeah....as much as Harris is the kid who's gonna be playing at the next level, this was always Miller's team. Silsbee will struggle to make it to region if they keep playing like they did Tuesday.

  26. I'm proud that my thread has made it all the way to realignment talk. What a legacy thread we have kept going. I thank BH fans for overreacting to every Crosby post. PAM fans for keeping it alive in the offseason and ofc 14.3 for making people angry on a near weekly manner for nearly 18 months. I'll miss this thread.

    Jasper vs #6 Bellville

For a school that hasn't got this far in the playoffs for a long, long time, y'all talk a lot of crap! I guess Jasper and whoever wins Region 4 (Wimberly) might as well forfeit! Already talkin' about Carthage!? You better not overlook anyone in the playoffs or you'll be getting the basketball shoes out!

  28. Looks like they're already hard to beat! They're in the fourth round, again and looking to get to AT&T, again! I'd say whatever they're doing is working!

  29. I'm sure KC will come up with something they haven't seen on game tape yet. Gotta force turnovers, be poised and keep the defense off the field as much as possible to keep them fresh. If people want to plan our demise, let them. We like flying under the radar.

  42. If Coach McCrary was smart he would pull up the tape when they played Liberty Hill and implement it... the constant running plays in between the tackles didn't work vs Lake Creek and won't work vs. Huntsville...you have big tall receivers use them

  43. They ought to give Coach McDaniel a call at PNG and see what he did against Liberty Hill last year. They popped one run and it was boxed the rest of the night. Nobody runs the slot t like Liberty Hill.

  46. You are correct, it is not little league coaching to strategize to stop the opponents best weapons, but it is little league coaching to assume that strategy was not part of the game plan coming in. I assure you, the entire BH staff knew about the biggest weapons on the Richland team as of late Friday night of last week and were scheming to shut them down. That plan was in place and wasn't properly executed. Sometimes, the other team is just better than you. Do I believe Richland was the better team overall? No. Do I believe they were the much better team in the second half and executed their game plan to perfection? Yes. Blowing big leads in the second half is indicative of players who take their foot off of the gas and aren't up for the challenge of fighting back to the accelerator when they get punched in the mouth. Richland proved they have those types of kids, BH has proven several times this year that they don't. Abseck's biggest challenge in the offseason is trying to produce a little dog in his guys so they know to put their foot on the neck of a downed opponent and finish them off. This point was illustrated by highly criticized 2 pt conversion try in OT. It was the right call because Abseck knew what I knew while watching the game, if the XP was kicked, and Richland was given possession, they would've scored and punched in the 2 for the win. BH's only shot of winning that game was to put it in a position where Richland couldn't control the ultimate outcome of OT.

  47. Boy, all the little league coaches are out in force on this thread. Do you guys not think they watched plenty of film and game planned for what Richland would do offensively? Do you not think the BH coaches built that game plan in such a way that if it was executed properly they believed they were in the best position to win? Varsity coaches rarely call a time out and tell their players to "crash every play" and "hit #1 in the mouth whether he has the ball or not". Those are things you say when you call a timeout during your 9:00 am game full of 4th graders on Saturday. The story of this game is the letdown after halftime and how momentum is a mother. It's hard to blow a huge lead like they did and be able to plug the holes in the boat in real time. The coaching staff did a excellent job all season and just got caught in the second half on Friday. Back to the drawing board for BH.

  48. I agree. I’m not saying Lamar is doing the right thing. When you have a support deficit in the public, doubling down on petty, hostile behavior isn’t going to help build bridges. Lamar should be going nuts to court local support. Like, every player from both playoff teams should get a jersey, other swag, just anything to make sure the players have good memories of Lamar. And maybe they’ll get more fans to Lamar games too.
