  1. Trump - Trump - Trump, at this point what difference does it make? Here’s the deal, I want to live my life, support my family, be the best Christian and American I can be. If he is indicted, impeached, convicted or acquitted - I don’t care. If he is the nominee and Biden is the Democratic nominee I’ll vote for Trump. The news is propaganda, almost all politicians are dirty, and until our country turns its heart toward God and away from the things of the world we will continue to separate and drift apart.

  2. Game day almost here and despite what I see in the prediction poll, I honestly think the majority have BH winning because that’s the outcome they want. I feel deep down a slight majority believe PAM will come out ahead. Just my take. Both teams are talented, well coached and I can’t see PAM being a worse matchup for BH than LaPorte. All that misdirection and a very good offensive line has worn BH out for two years straight. The injuries with key run stoppers didn’t help but not sure it’d changed the outcome. I see PAM as more of a threat at having big plays, not the consistent, long, clock eating drives BH saw with LaPorte. Not to say PAM won’t have long drives but LaPorte depends on these to win the game. BH and PAM both have the ability to consistently score quickly with a slight edge to PAM. Also, I think BH this season has a total three or so interceptions, with two being against LaPorte. They typically do not turn the ball over but if PAM can put pressure on the QB and not allow big plays downfield, it may be a long night for the hill. On the flip side, if PAM comes in underestimating this BH team, they may quickly get punched in the mouth. Despite some minor weaknesses, this is the best BH team I’ve seen since I’ve been following them. They need to show they can overcome some adversity to make a good playoff run. This should be a good game.

  5. On a serious note. It’s a far cry from the old days. Waking up, reading what Bob West or Tom Halliburton wrote up Tuesday through Friday. The area coverage definitely isn’t what it once was. The rivalry is a lot calmer than it once was… I had a hand in burning some strategic letters on a certain field. But this game never goes as planned, other than the Ethridge years, Malone years, and Neauman years. So I expect it to be a battle from beginning to end. No prediction, because this game is simply unpredictable…… I do think it’s a huge game for Monte. But we are getting closer.

Went a whole decade without winning, hasn't made the playoffs in over 30 years, got a first-year coach who came in the offseason with less than 11 players, now has 40+ kids, is 7-1, dominating most other HISD schools and has several international students interested in playing football. All it takes is the right coach to revive a program. [Hidden Content]

  18. I would like to say is how about that Tiger defense. Basically, shutting down the high-powered offense of HF which is a tough thing to do. Stopping HF not once but twice inside the ten-yard line. Once forcing a fumble on the five and once just denying them on the six-inch line. A team coming in with most passing touchdowns in our district and giving up zero and holding their passing game to over one hundred yards under their game average. Keeping their rushing game under one hundred yards. Keeping their high-powered offense to just one touchdown. A job well done Tiger defense. TigerNation!!!

  19. I told ya’ll Meadows would be the key to Trump’s demise. He got immunity for his testimony before he even got charged with anything. Already testified three times before a federal grand jury. When the Consigliere or the Underboss flips, the Don is done. Sammy Gravano and John Gotti ring a bell? Trump uses mob mentality, but his non violent tactics ain’t gonna work in a criminal trial.

  20. Georgia and Texas do it right. Alabama is bad, but Florida is much worse. An absolute joke. If you go to a non-traditional high school (home schooled, charter school, or collegiate academy) you can play a different sport at different high school through the year. For example, you could play football at PNG, play basketball at United, and run track at Memorial. And be eligible right away.

  25. Yes and no. They graduated three starters and unfortunately they lost another starter to a moving to another state. Out of the kids returning, one kid started half the season last year and will be a senior this year. One returning starter from half of the district games and the playoffs. The other three kids starting will be Juniors returning from more sub roles from last year but this group has been playing together for a while and have a real feel for their roles. I definitely see where the skepticism is coming from. But I guarantee you anyone in the district and area know about this group. They've been playing good basketball since they were in 7th grade and had last years starting lineup not been so senior heavy, they would have had been more impactful last year. Also to justify going from third to first. Look at the top two teams from last year. New Waverly lost everyone from their varsity roster except maybe one kid who did not play much if I remember correctly. Their JV, barely beat our JV and our JV, well was missing ALL of these underclassmen that were already on varsity. Crockett, I probably have beat that dead horse. They lost maybe the best player of the district and two additional solid players. Maybe have a couple move ups from JV, but hard to step right in and make an impact if you haven't played Varsity basketball. Again, just my opinion.

  33. [Hidden Content] From the article: The FBI maintained more than 40 confidential human sources on various criminal matters related to the Biden family, including Joe Biden, dating back to his time as vice president, according to information obtained by Sen. Chuck Grassley. The confidential human sources "provided criminal information to the FBI relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden." Those confidential human sources were managed by multiple FBI field offices across the nation—including the FBI’s Seattle Field Office. But Grassley learned that an FBI task force within the Washington Field Office sought to, and in some cases, successfully, shut down reporting and information from those sources by falsely discrediting the information as foreign disinformation. That effort "caused investigative activity to cease." Gotta love the FBI's management style...sweep it under the rug ignore it...unless it's Trump.

  34. Two tier "justice" system. Hunter, Joe, and the rest of the corrupt Biden administration will never really get prosecuted by the corrupt-to-the-core AG Garland. Might give out some traffic tickets or jaywalking fines, or something like that just to save face. Russia or China probably has a more honest justice system than the USA has had for the last 3 years.

  43. In 2016 Shelbyville had a RB named Octavian Burrell (RIP) who singlehandedly carried the Dragons to the quarterfinals were lost to Lovelady on the last play of the game 14-7. Without him they wouldn't have made the playoffs. Kid was a stick of dynamite.

  44. I hate I can't make this game because of work since I'll be working at the Huntsville game but I will definitely watch it on YouTube. At this point I hope this game doesn't play out like last season because of Shepherd's RB. But our defense has been in games we should have won so with that being said give me Coldspring 30-17 and hopefully we will wait for Orangefield or East Chambers. If not we will be dribbling those basketballs early.

  45. Depends on the first drive. If Orangefield can start firing on all cylinders then OF will win. i don’t know if OF can overcome a lead from KV. We shall see. Its a HS game for no telling what will happen or what team (either side) will show up.
