WOS coaches got out coached by baseball coaches lol. Only reason WOS won was they have more Jimmy’s and Joe’s. The “program” is over. Honestly I like that WOS WAS the winningest program in the State. WOS welcome to average.

If for some reason BC pulls this out with a win against WOS, I don’t care what happens the rest of the year, Landry needs to be named the Athletic Director / Head Football coach at BCHS….and WOS needs to fire Hickman. It would be a fantastic win for the Cardinals. It would be devastating and humiliating for WOS.

To be fair, someone waking up from a nap from 1965 would be completely nonplussed.

Dogs are 7 games in and still less than 50% on extra points. No excuse for that. FBM not a very good football team, at the very least should have been tied at 21 and in OT. Proud of the effort but the little things and details will KILL you.

Needless to say....this coaching staff and superintendent have taken one of the top programs in the state and managed to ruin it in 2 short years. Time for them both to hit the road.

Cardinals played a great game. Sad to see the decline of the Mustang program. The talent is there just not the direction.

I called it ! publicly on this site.😶(when the questio was asked who else would beat them in distrivt) the Blue&Silver must be under the impression there is a number 1 draft pick if they tank the rest of season. Even better would be a new coaching staff.

PNG will probably be a 40-point favorite, so the order of the day is don’t go in complacent and looking forward to MCM. The last thing we need is to mess around and give Santa Fe the game. And, don’t let what will likely be a cupcake team make us soft coming up on Nederland. This week needs to be a tune-up. Hopefully Bailey and the WRs can continue to gel, and we can escape with no injuries.

I’d definitely give PNG a significant edge on defense, and it’s not much of an argument. Nederland’s defense fluctuates between “dang that was a really good play” and “are they even trying?” PNG’s defense is ahead of schedule from where they were last year, and they keep getting more and more dangerous. Add that to an offense that is getting more balanced, with an increasingly sharpshooter QB, and PNG is almost ready for Mid-County Madness. What Nederland has going for them is they seem to get better every week (giving them a confusing “it” factor - Like, are they bad or good? If we changed nothing about this team but the penalties and mistakes, how much better are they? I think, a lot better) and serious speed in the open field (something they could exploit similarly to the Dayton qb’s running around against us).

I was talking more Golden Triangle-ish. You are 100 percent correct that any rankings should include all coverage area teams. But I don’t think of the Houston area schools as SETX which is more what I was talking about (your description of Orange, Jefferson, Hardin is prob most descript, but I was also thinking chambers, jasper and newton counties).

BC had to forfeit one game to Lumberton. They now have 2 losses. Lumberton has 2. Vidor has 3. LCM has 4. Next week should decide the standings.

I think the refs have generally been bad this season. Probably has to do with the ref shortage.

Conner Bailey passed for 200 yards and two TDs for 494 on the night, Not bad for a running team.
