Beaumont, Texas has and has had some of the best high school talent in the state. Getting the right person to led them is the key! ( and it shouldn't matter what color they are). There it is I said that. Give the student/athletes the best chance to win.

gotcha, well I said in the another post that at this point it doesnt matter who they hire or what his background is. Football has to be a priority DISTRICT WIDE and that means providing that coach with the resources and ability to structure the program to as needed. Coaches/Kids in athletic periods, competitive stipends, etc..

All he had to do was encourage kids to play baseball and football.

Funny he says "Everyone knows what the biggest obstacle facing Beaumont football is at the moment. The deck is stacked for the dealer" lamentig the strong competition. Not a single word about the talent and athleticism Beaumont has. Its a crazy situation.

Well I guess its time for the young man to take over. He is a good one. I know many doubt him on here but as a person who has watched him play I can tell you given a small amount of time with the first teamers he is going to be a really good QB for PNG, He has all of the tools and is a very good passer. May take a few games to get ready he is only a 10th grader. He has a beautiful pass and really good mechanics and a very quick release. Look for big things over the next three seasons out of this kiddo.

I agree that it's not very fan friendly to alienate certain subsets of the population. A few weeks ago I saw an older gentleman already turning around to leave when they wouldn't take his cash. I stopped him and let him use my extra ticket to get into the game. The part I don't understand is why nobody is there to help these people get tickets. Not everyone has a smartphone. But they all have money and are willing to give it to anyone that would help. I didn't take the old man's money btw. Those tickets were gifted to me by a season ticket holder that couldn't make the game. Since then I've been buying an extra ticket everytime. And as it turns out I have an extra one this week as well. You'd have to sit in the Blue & Silver side though. But the offer remains open.

Can’t see CHS coming out with a win here. I thought from the beginning that Willis wasn’t the right hire for Crosby at this time and had he did more research he would’ve known this wasn’t the best spot for him. He assumed with the success of the program and fan base that he would have a large group of kids to work with. He was quoted as saying how does Crosby have this many fans and only 3A numbers. The answer to that question may be the disconnect between the two communities that should have been resolved 30-40yrs ago.

Worster had a nice drive at the end of the game. I think the offense doesn't match the players skill set. Peevy is collecting a big pay check and you will probably have some unhappy customers.

That was utterly embarrassing last night. Pull the starters that weren't getting it done, especially when you have underclassman who are quitting/giving up. Need to try something else. And the play calling this whole year has been horrendous. Last week the OC calls a screen pass with 24 seconds left in the half which gets pick 6'd instead of taking a knee and going in with momentum. 2 point conversion vs WOS...wth? These calls are killing any momentum we have. These coaches are blowing it with their personnel choices as well, their blatant and obvious special treatment of subpar underclass players is disgusting. There is a ton of talent on this team, but they continually play the same guys with the same outcome. Absolutely zero discipline and no accountability will be the slow death of this coaching staff.

Transformer has been replaced but didn’t affect the stadium.

Some of those teams you listed are in districts that this site currently covers. Franklin has been playing teams we cover, as has Wortham, Palmer, Bremond and Teague. That is why they were in game threads on this site. Lufkin and Longview are not in districts that we cover. Maybe this will help: My point, there are other sites that cover those teams and probably would get more feedback there.

Honestly, I don't think the Eagles have much to worry bout. The Raiders are not the Raiders of last year.

Only way Crosby comes out of this positively is with some bunker mentality. The one thing for Crosby is that they need every game now. I wouldn't want to be playing a team with this level of scrutiny from the adults in the area. Granted many of those "adults" act like children. We will see, the defense just got torched by Lee, Lee is generally good for an upset a year it appears. Last year was PAM this year Crosby. I mean given the posters on here we should just forfeit now, why even play the game.

Great game by WOS but you fans living in the past have gotten beyond delusional. How many coaches come in and have the old staff hanging around and telling them how to coach? Also schemes change with new coaches. Players adapt. All the, oh if we were running the 50 front and Coach was here to help we would have beat PN-G by 20+ is getting old. That’s pitiful.. IMO the person to blame is the superintendent. He needs to go. In order for him to go, the school board should be voted out. The Sup, from everything I’ve ever been told, had his mind made up on Hickman and never considered anyone else. There was never a job search. It started with the PC crap about the “chain gang” moniker. Then hire a head coach with no experience, and run off all the coaches loyal to CT and the “old” ways. Erase all identity of what WOS was and change the culture.

I would think that if they can have less than 10 offensive penalties, don't fumble the ball, throw a pick six or touch the ball on a punt while surrounded by six Cardinals, they should be all right...

Carthage looked human against a Region III Division I finalist on the road..with a sophomore QB in his first start and with one of their key RB's going down with what's likely a season ending injury...the fact Carthage won in spite of that is kinda impressive if you are a glass half full fan
