If Dayton plays mistake free, they have the offense to keep it interesting. I think they have a slightly better offense than PnG , not just statistically but in terms of what they have in the toolbox. They can move the ball all over the field and give FBM trouble. And Dayton’s defense is “pretty” good. Not great. But if they can get some turnovers get a few 3 and outs, they can keep it close

So word on the street is PNG has its 4th consecutive QB with official College offer! Morse, Johnson, Bost, Crippen!

Sorry to put this BS 14.2 has going, but no one in this district would beat Longview or Lancaster this year. I would love to see the upset happen , but it’s not likely.

This seeding is going to take some getting used to. Our girls volleyball is travelling this morning to their first round playoff match up in NEW ORLEANS!(300 miles away). The way football stands with one week to go, our first round would be 318 miles! They are closer to Pensacola, Fla. than Mansfield . I guess I know how West Texas feels now.

Finally got to watch this one. Good lord the freaking rain! This was a good call by the PAM coach and he got what he wanted a deluge that made BH use their ground game🙄 PAM was much better built to play a game like this. Hope it doesn’t rain like that during the Porter game because they would also beat us in that Scenario! Good luck the week against KWP that should be another good one.

Go to Kjas website and go to live broadcast they keep up with how many viewers are on the broadcast throughput the game so I know they are broadcasting the game now it also depends on how many people are tuning in and hopefully it doesn’t overload the site.

What I am about to say is not taking from or demeaning in any way to the fact that the team we are gonna play has quality players who have had a dynamic season thus far and are the prohibitive favorites to win. Folks, Jasper has some quality players who as well are capable of being dynamic. Yes, I am a DAWG and of course I am expected to say 'homer" type things. Scores of past games this year are deceiving so for those of you "referencing " them don't be so quick to call it an upset if Jasper wins Friday. Will and Spirit are not shown in final scores. One of the many things people here in our community love about CC has been his ability to increase both tenfold in our young men.

We need a PAM win, but you get a pissed off and rested KWP at home. PAM will need zero mistakes in this one to win. Let’s go Titians

Literally have had 8 points scored against our defense in the entire second half (had a fumble returned for a touchdown late in the 4th quarter against North Mesquite by our twos that makes the total 15 points for the year). If Crosby is going to beat us, it's going to be because of Lobo turnovers and Crosby draining the clock. Y'all's defense just is not anywhere near the defenses we've played already this year. Our offense might not be the most elite thing out there (it's still pretty dang good), but our defense is elite. But like you said, guess that's why they line it up. Excited to welcome y'all to Lobo next week if it happens.

Texan Live is only contracted to do Silsbee home games. They are not required by contract to do their out of town games during regular season. They have done a few but mainly because they have contracts with the other schools. The HF game was not done due to facilities and the Jasper game is not being done due to the fact that Jasper has a free video broadcast and they are not allowed to do games there. A lot of the time facilities and broadband access has a lot to do with what games they do.

I was wondering when you would show up again, lol. I actually agree with you that the best matchup out of your district is and has been a healthy Crosby. A Crosby team that is just getting healthy and a few games to gel is a recipe for a really good 1st round game. The Lancaster game was a great game and showed us several things to work on. The only thing you can’t be blind to in that game is the 6 or 7 interceptions that Longview dropped. That won’t happen again. Lancaster’s defense is elite and probably the best or at least top 2 in Texas in D1 but Longview prevailed. The thing Crosby better be able to do is learn to stop the run and fix your offensive line. If you can’t stop the run or block our defense, the game will honestly be over in the first half. I honestly don’t see that happening. I expect a solid game with Longview winning by 3 scores.

Again just my opinion, New HC should have more oversight like last HC! I understand he has alot on his plate I don’t fault him, in fact actually think he’s a great coach and man. But hate to see kids love for the game lost. I feel more should be done to not loose kids that are on the edge. I understand y’all have a job and can’t save all kids but y’all should know these boys/girls look up to y’all and come home wondering what coach thinking of me, etc. so don’t turn away from them.

Actually if BH and Kingwood Park win, then PAM will be the 2 seed, since they hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over BH. Now if BH and PAM win, then Kingwood Park goes to Lancaster, since BH holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over them.

From someone that has followed a good bit of volleyball over the years… I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock into those polls. That guy does what he can to bring in some weekly rankings and does his best. With that said I’m also not saying Barbers Hill or Nederland aren’t good teams.

You are correct. Parents buying in and supporting the program is key. That was fading when Barbay left, and went extinct. People are quick to throw we need to run the spread, but that’s been tried and was a fail The guy that is at Whitney was brought in as a culture change. He left on his own after the super left. Coldspring is a hard place to come and coach. There is some talent, but not the same talent that was here in the 90’s or 2009-2014 witch was the last years Coldspring made big playoff runs

I agree. To beat KWP you have to contain their QB. We have the defense to do just that. The one and ONLY thing I'm worried about in this game is: it's at Turner Stadium on a Thursday night. That's it. Kids have to keep their composure in that place. Hell just look at what happened during the NS vs Atascocita game last Thursday 🤷🏾‍♂️ that officiating crew was just as bad as the one we had last night here in Port Arthur 😂 Hopefully we get the same crew from our week-1 and week-2 games.

Miller - Cartwright - Williams - Harper - Harris I'm pretty sure will be your starters. With Bottley - Brisbane - Elders - Elam - Bowlwin being second 5 . And a really good bench. So you have 4 starter's playing football and 4 second team playing football. Silsbee bench will be pretty deep and strong IMO.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not basketball players? Interesting I expect at least 3 of those 8 players to be starters on the basketball court. Possibly 4 of them. These 8 will make up the bulk of the varsity basketball team. Lot's of playing time.

What impressed me the most was Centerville’s one point lost to Mart. I think it will be a close game. Should be a good one. Picking Centerville but pulling for for a former team in our district, Corrigan Camden.
