If Dayton plays mistake free, they have the offense to keep it interesting. I think they have a slightly better offense than PnG , not just statistically but in terms of what they have in the toolbox. They can move the ball all over the field and give FBM trouble. And Dayton’s defense is “pretty” good. Not great. But if they can get some turnovers get a few 3 and outs, they can keep it close

So word on the street is PNG has its 4th consecutive QB with official College offer! Morse, Johnson, Bost, Crippen!

Sorry to put this BS 14.2 has going, but no one in this district would beat Longview or Lancaster this year. I would love to see the upset happen , but it’s not likely.

This seeding is going to take some getting used to. Our girls volleyball is travelling this morning to their first round playoff match up in NEW ORLEANS!(300 miles away). The way football stands with one week to go, our first round would be 318 miles! They are closer to Pensacola, Fla. than Mansfield . I guess I know how West Texas feels now.

Finally got to watch this one. Good lord the freaking rain! This was a good call by the PAM coach and he got what he wanted a deluge that made BH use their ground game🙄 PAM was much better built to play a game like this. Hope it doesn’t rain like that during the Porter game because they would also beat us in that Scenario! Good luck the week against KWP that should be another good one.

Go to Kjas website and go to live broadcast they keep up with how many viewers are on the broadcast throughput the game so I know they are broadcasting the game now it also depends on how many people are tuning in and hopefully it doesn’t overload the site.

I know shelbyville has been moved. most of east Texas is moving games. Woodville,lufkin,crockett,hunington,newton has also been moved.

The Elliot kid at LCM is pretty good.

Texan Live is only contracted to do Silsbee home games. They are not required by contract to do their out of town games during regular season. They have done a few but mainly because they have contracts with the other schools. The HF game was not done due to facilities and the Jasper game is not being done due to the fact that Jasper has a free video broadcast and they are not allowed to do games there. A lot of the time facilities and broadband access has a lot to do with what games they do.

I was wondering when you would show up again, lol. I actually agree with you that the best matchup out of your district is and has been a healthy Crosby. A Crosby team that is just getting healthy and a few games to gel is a recipe for a really good 1st round game. The Lancaster game was a great game and showed us several things to work on. The only thing you can’t be blind to in that game is the 6 or 7 interceptions that Longview dropped. That won’t happen again. Lancaster’s defense is elite and probably the best or at least top 2 in Texas in D1 but Longview prevailed. The thing Crosby better be able to do is learn to stop the run and fix your offensive line. If you can’t stop the run or block our defense, the game will honestly be over in the first half. I honestly don’t see that happening. I expect a solid game with Longview winning by 3 scores.

No team is unbeatable but just to be given the chance to knock someone off is worth the wait to have that opportunity

Again just my opinion, New HC should have more oversight like last HC! I understand he has alot on his plate I don’t fault him, in fact actually think he’s a great coach and man. But hate to see kids love for the game lost. I feel more should be done to not loose kids that are on the edge. I understand y’all have a job and can’t save all kids but y’all should know these boys/girls look up to y’all and come home wondering what coach thinking of me, etc. so don’t turn away from them.

Then got mad when I asked why the total was so high. So I said, how high are you? You can keep that. It is what it is. If there was anybody from this district that had a chance to make a game of it with Longview it was back then and still is Crosby. One sentiment I can relay to you coming from the kids and staff is that nobody is scared. We’re also relatively healthy now. Still may get blown out considering how we’ve played to date but we’ll still be there at kickoff. I’ve watched the Lancaster vs Longview game 2.5 times so far and I would go so far as to say Lancaster would be the tougher matchup for Crosby because of their team speed. I looked up all the players in LV’s lineup while watching the game and noticed they’re pretty much the same size as Crosby outside of WR meaning we can probably avoid a CE King type situation. They’re just well coached with a bunch of good football players. Not too long ago our DC was the DC at Marshall so he’s seen LV’s offense a few times. Hopefully the injuries benefit Crosby in the sense that most of our film from this year is useless. I think there’s a good chance Crosby goes out to East Texas and plays their best game of the year if that’s the matchup we end up with.

From someone that has followed a good bit of volleyball over the years… I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock into those polls. That guy does what he can to bring in some weekly rankings and does his best. With that said I’m also not saying Barbers Hill or Nederland aren’t good teams.

I’m going to probably hurt some feelings. Move back here and my first son graduated in 2014. I’ve watched Crosby since about 2010. This is the worst O-line I’ve seen and honestly the least athletic all around. The kids do battle though. I asked last night when I got to the game if they were healthy and I was told yep no more excuses tonight. Then I look and man something is just missing. I’ll drive to Longview to watch, but dang I feel like it’s the worse kind of situation. Those people trashing the defense, remember the D really only gave up 28 last night. The offense turned it over at the 2 and they returned a kickoff for a td. I don’t think they will hold up at all against Longview though(in the first half).

I agree. To beat KWP you have to contain their QB. We have the defense to do just that. The one and ONLY thing I'm worried about in this game is: it's at Turner Stadium on a Thursday night. That's it. Kids have to keep their composure in that place. Hell just look at what happened during the NS vs Atascocita game last Thursday 🤷🏾‍♂️ that officiating crew was just as bad as the one we had last night here in Port Arthur 😂 Hopefully we get the same crew from our week-1 and week-2 games.

All this over a simple post giving Nederland players & coaches congrats on winning a district game vs. a very good team which I include their subs because these girls are good also imo. BH was on a roll & going for an undefeated district season. Beating them was a solid accomplishment & hopefully a momentum builder for the Nederland. Vball program . No negativity towards BH was said or intended, not sure why some BH posters need to make it big issue & just not take it as a loss instead of basically blaming the 3 girls subbing & the coaches not having time to prepare for this type of issue. As far as baseball goes been in those situations a few times & when we lost did not blame the the subs or not having time to prepare all my players for the game. Win as a team lose as a team. It’s all good, BH is still a great vball program & will continue to win a lot of games for a long time. Nederland just trying to work to get close to that level & a win over BH helps. Like I said before I am positive the BH coaches are not blaming the loss on subs or making any other excuse. I saw their intensity & passion coaching the games & it did not look like it was meaningless to them or BH players.

Not basketball players? Interesting I expect at least 3 of those 8 players to be starters on the basketball court. Possibly 4 of them. These 8 will make up the bulk of the varsity basketball team. Lot's of playing time.

What impressed me the most was Centerville’s one point lost to Mart. I think it will be a close game. Should be a good one. Picking Centerville but pulling for for a former team in our district, Corrigan Camden.
