Crosby is nothing like those teams. The Coogs don't even one state championship.

The whole District improved. LCM had a great run. Vidor lost their first game by 5 to the improved 4th place finisher, Chapel Hill, who’s in the State Semi-Finals. Huffman & Lumberton made a good account of themselves before falling to Kilgore & Lindale. I look for the whole District to improve again next year. The four teams going forward in 2022 will be formidable.

Jennings has enough players but just off of looks this one won’t last long either.

That’s exactly right. Crosby played in 31 games in two years. That’s more than a lot of schools play in 3 years. Great season Crosby !

Crosby goes down without a fight tonight. Tough one for the community to watch us exit on. Didn’t even look like we were prepared to play. If the numbers hold firm and Crosby does move up to 5A-D1 it’s been a hell of a 10 year run. Oddly enough it was bookended by embarrassing playoff losses to the slot-T. Considering where we came from I’ll gladly take 3 regional titles and a trip to the finals. Back when the UIL split 5A I said Crosby would be one of the biggest benefactors and we were. We finished one game shy of playing all 32 this last realignment. Now we may move into the deepest division in THSF. I’m looking very forward to seeing how we respond next year.

Im thru to halftime on watching the game right now, this should've been 14-14 or 21-14 LH. Mine you im non bias. Watch the game with clear eyes. Wth was that when Crosby was inside the 5 on the 1st offensive drive? And why #12 got no productive touches? Wasted 1st half. Totally predictable. Plus #20 the stud RB went out. Hmmm i know a certain Orange County school who's stud rb got hurt too that affected the game vs CS I'll comment on what I see 2nd half afterwards.

As good as United is, they would get beat pretty soundly (imo) by Duncanville. Duncanville just took down Montverde last night. While this is by no means the Montverde of a couple of years ago, it is still a national powerhouse. The fact that a public school team beat them is incredibly impressive. Having said that, Duncanville may not recruit nationally, but it certainly does an excellent job recruiting the metroplex.

I'll say this, too. The best 4 teams in 4A are in Region 3. That's right, I said it. CS will prove it next week.

Sounds like they need to schedule Vidor for preseason. They might get beat but atleast they would see that offense more than once

We’ll, we looked good when we took the double digit lead early. Yates was on fire. Then we kept turning the ball over and letting that one king guard score at the cup. I think we settled down in the second and kinda let others like Dotson get in on the offense. I think we’ll continue this and pull away in the 3rd…

I have a feeling the district may have bonus matchups after the regular season is over next year.

Defense did okay though, but when the other side of the ball struggles and just never got anything going you can’t expect them to hold up. They won the turnover battle also. You turn it over and the two times they put it in the turf they got it back. Just wasn’t Crosby’s night.

I’m not surprised that LH won, but I am surprised of the Crosby execution of the plays the last two weeks. All of the false starts committed by just about every lineman were killers and hard to make sense of. The depth at the skill positions are very shallow to and shouldn’t be with all of the blow outs Crosby had they should be deeper allowing playing time for the 2nd stringers. Anywho still a great season for the Coogs it just sucks to go out like that.

Man something was off and that game last week was physical, it was on one side of the ball though. Defense played well enough to win, but the better team last night won for sure. It’ll be interesting to watch next weeks matchup.

Good season Coogs! Liberty Hill was just plan better. Coogs we’re off since the TH game and that continued tonight.

Man I love watching the slot-t. That was a clinic being put on by Liberty Hill tonight. Kudos to their defense they really showed up tonight. Congrats to Crosby on a good season. Heck I may have to drive to Jerry World next week to watch the Liberty Hill and catch a few more games while I am there. Safe travels to everyone.

This “awful” LH defense is doing pretty well tonight.

106-37 after 3. Marian has pretty much quit even going back to the defensive side. Tigers starters sat about 3 or 4 minutes into the third and haven’t returned.

South Oak Cliff is currently embarrassing Lubbock Cooper. 28-3 with 6:49 left in the 2nd qtr.

Backboard alley from Bottley to Harris 66-25 at the half. Tough game for the Tigers to play they have ended up looking like they are walking under the basket at times to get a rebound or score.

It’s hard to know that we will not be playing football tonight. I agree without Gayle we did not have the mental toughness to finish the game. Mental toughness cannot be coached nor factored into x’s and o’s in a game plan. Reflecting on the teams that we had during our championship days, we always had a philosophy of “Next man up” we have seemed to have lost that important secret weapon; CS has it especially their QB.

With Gales in there we keep the ball longer and limit CS time with the ball.Of course it didn't take but a few seconds a couple of times for them to score.lol

Crosby already plays Dayton once. They would have to play them six times in that district. The one positive is that we would be able to get a first hand look at the players in our GCCISD farm system. Probably could've gotten that receiver from Lee that just committed to Vanderbilt. Outside of playing a weaker schedule one of the biggest negatives I see is even is more hostility from the GCCISD coaches towards kids who are trying to transfer to a better situation for them.
