Thank you for those very kind words. I really appreciate it. I will never ever fill Todd's shoes but I am doing the best I can. I really really miss my dear friend in so many ways and it partly is about this site. He was a true genuine friend. Site is just not the same without him.

This guy was an all around good dude. I went to college with him, we were both in the Lamar band. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help you. Such a shame he was taken so early in life.

Man, CE King looks significantly bigger and more athletic than Katy all over the field. Katy’s defense on a pretty much yearly basis is unreal though. They just grind you into the dirt, and this will probably be Katy’s toughest game until they play Westlake in the semis.

I think one of the biggest things for PNG this year is the lack of injuries. Nederland got hit hard after playing PNG, and the results are obvious. Our RB got hurt last week, but not sure of the status come game time. Regardless, I'm super Proud of PNG's tenacity and grit this year. No one gave them a chance and they're playing like they have nothing to lose. Hoping it's a good game. Safe travels everyone.

Diboll has a shot to control the line of scrimmage on both sides because I think we are a little bigger in the trenches. The key for Diboll will be to limit that QB for LRA who is very impressive. LRA has given up some points on defense lately so Diboll should be able to have some success on offense.

Coach Green was there scouting Bellaire who is there opponent Friday at the Texas Jamboree and also he stayed and scouted Dickinson who they play early next month. Oh and they play Atascocita on Tuesday! He got a lot of work done yesterday for sure!

I know it’s a rivalry game but if you look at their body of work in district play the PNG game is the only outlier. They lost to all the other four teams that finished in front of them by double digits.

It really was suppose to happen several years ago. When they built that stadium they built in the drain system for turf. Had a wealthy donor ready to write the check for the turf but she passed away and the executor of the will decided not to follow through on the donation. A feasibility study was done a few years ago by the school to see about purchasing the turf itself but some hiccups along the way with schools needing attention put it on the back burner. It will eventually happen. I say within 6 years.

Again picking the Indians. Their strength of schedule and being battle tested proved on point last week. Kids were never phased throughout a high scoring back and forth TD Game. With that being said, going with a 38-28 Indian Victory. Scalp Em!

I think the timing is right locally with the disease being all but eliminated in our area. I guess the real question is whether or not there will be another surge. My hope is that the disease will continue to mutate and lose its punch, so to speak. This last round was a lot worse as far as transmissions, but the rate of fatalities was actually lower than the first round. I hope that trend continues, because I think it's safe to say that it's not going completely away in the near future. I'm also convinced that the vaccines(s) aren't nearly as good as we'd all hoped. Big pharma is making too much money, and too much of it is going back to politicians. I'm not surprised that they're now looking at a third shot... there were four spots on my vax card, not just two.
