Let's see: 95% to 99% non-stop negative coverage. Omission of coverage on positive things...even spun to make them negative. False accusations and flat out lies bombarding the airwaves 24/7. Nobody can survive that type of character assassination...not even the Pope. Trump deserves some credit for some negative coverage, but if he would have had fair and honest press coverage then he would have won in a land slide. But let's put all of the blame on one man's actions instead of the obvious "collusion" perpetrated by the media. "Obvious" is not nearly a strong enough word. I can predict it now. The next GOP presidential candidate will be label by the media as: racist, homophobic, a threat to LBGT (whatever the other letters are), a threat to all "minorities" (including women), misogynistic, a firm supporter of White supremacy, a bully, zenophobic, etc. This will be true despite the race or gender of the candidate. Anyone want to take this bet? This is the Democrat playbook, executed to the hilt against Trump. And it worked. We actually have intelligent people right here on this very board that fell for the character assassination. The Dems will continue this strategy. So again, would anyone like to bet on whether these accusations will be levied? (This bet coming from someone that doesn't gamble.)

Jiminy Crickets we’re going to get post after post telling us that we are stupid. This stuff has been hashed and rehashed over and over…..Biden “won” and is the “president”. It is simple - how is our country going under this president? How are those $3 a gallon full-ups hitting you? How is the 3.5 TRILLION infrastructure plan going to help when less than 20% goes toward infrastructure? How are those Americans and supporters doing behind enemy lines? How is that equipment that we left behind for an opposing military force (that’s already struck on our soil)? I’m not even touching on the oil pipeline shut downs, the vaccine mandates, the mask mandates, and on and on. Jen Psaki makes me want to claw my eyes out and put a hot poker in my ear. The border response has been failed fiasco after failed fiasco. The upcoming recession is going to be a doozy. The sad thing is that not ONE item mentioned above is a surprise. You knew exactly what you were getting if you voted for this regime, so you are getting what was promised. The America Second platform is exactly as ordered. Never owned a Trump flag, but I’m a simple man. Argue all you want, this IS NOT GOOD for America. Maybe we can de-annex Austin and create a safe space for normal people.

I keep reading about safe spaces. Place where people can go to be segregated with others that look like, act like and think like them. Is there a safe space for normal people? Well known for being a weak District, but they have an impressive start to this year with 14 wins and 3 losses. HH 3-0, LCM 2-1, Liv 2-1, Ltown 2-1, Splendora 2-0, and Vidor 3-0. Admittedly most of them against weaker opponents, but it’s extremely hard building a winning tradition playing bigger better schools. On the plus side, Ltown and LCM have played some good football. The District race should be a good one, with those two joining HH, Liv, and Vidor vying for DC and playoff spots. Splendora could also be a factor. Appears parody has come to this District. I loved having Franklin in mix. It made the district stronger. Honestly I think Diboll will be on the bubble of moving back up but I hope not because I really enjoy the 3A scene.

that's a major issue for people on the far edges of politics in both directions: they can't understand how anybody could possibly believe anything so different as them as to vote for another party, and considers anyone who does an idiot. this absolute refusal to believe that there's a large chunk of our country who is willing to vote either party based on their perception of the candidates is mind-boggling. a big portion of our population doesn't identify with either party, or has strong beliefs both directions. i don't understand why there's such disbelief that a substantial amount of people in our country chose to vote against a competent president because he's a jerk and they don't like him, or how they perceive he makes our country look. I'm also not sure how there's an inability to understand that millions of apathetic democratic voters who wouldn't have bothered to get out and vote for biden absolutely showed up and voted against trump. The thing is, regardless of how insignificant trump apologists pretend the effect his behavior had on the election, he lost several key battleground states by mere thousands of votes. to put things in perspective, it took only approximately 2 voters per 1000 in georgia and arizona to change their vote to biden from trump because they couldn't stand Trump to swing the election in Biden's favor. the same holds true for apathetic voters. looking at states where the division is close to 50/50 between red/blue, if less than 1/4 of 1% of all votes cast were from people who got out to vote against trump who wouldn't have otherwise voted, that was more than enough to turn the election from red to blue in both Georgia and Arizona. the ratio was closer to 5 in 1000 in wisconsin, and slightly higher, but still very small in other swing states. it's time to quit pretending that his behavior didn't cost him the election, or we're likely looking at history to repeat itself, no matter how bad biden is.

Hmm, why does it leave out score margins I wonder? We had the same yards as PNG against Dayton, yet played one half with starters and had 3 non-offensive TD's. Crosby played back ups for entire halves against two of those teams. I love the mental gymnastics PNDN's need to do to try and make this seem like an even game. If they win it'll be a huge upset, if they lose it'll be expected. Game comparisons especially this one is definitively an act of futility. Just like people talking up TC last week. we can see what you do on the field, anyone pretending PNG's defense is in the same ballpark as Crosby is smoking the good stuff. I think highly of PNG's offense, but when you can't stop people you have a hard time beating high quality opponents.

PNG only gave up 24 to the Nederland offense. 14 of Nederland’s points came from a scoop and score off a fumble and a pick 6.

Welp, no scrimmage will be taking place im hearing that because of a miscommunication the scrimmage that was happening on Nov 2nd wont be taking place. This just needs to be a regular season game, it would be good for the area! Been hoping for this matchup for the last couple of years.

Vidor needs to keep taking care of their business but they will probably need someone in the top 10 to lose if they hope to get recognized in 4A D1. Although if the Pirates keep winning it will be hard to keep an undefeated team out of the rankings over some of the 2 loss teams in there.

I will say when an eye witness testimony is good however. It is not looking at a person saying yeah, that’s him. When an officer is speaking with a witness who is not looking at a suspect, and gives a very detailed description, it is pretty important and usually accurate. For example many times and officer will be speaking with a witness and another officer in the area will detain a person. If the author of speaking with a witness gives a detailed description of the suspect and it matches the one being detained, it is fairly significant and reliable. I am not talking about saying, the man was 5’9” with a medium build. I mean when they say some thing like, he is very tall and over 6 foot, very skinny, has a red and white horizontal stripe shirt, a tattoo of the letters AB on the right side of his neck and had blue tennis shoes with the red laces. If all of that matches, in my mind, we’ve got the right guy. Especially if he detained him in the vicinity of the crime which basically puts him at the scene. It kills the alibi such as, I was visiting my cousin in Louisiana and he will sign a statement saying so. Even then it takes something else to convict however it does not take much more, in my opinion.

Eyewitness testimony can be completely unreliable and again as I said, a witness might not be lying. In fact they probably absolutely think they are telling the truth.

lol that’s not exactly how it went down. Before the next season Smalley and Stump had agreed to play the first week of the season. Smalley had BC down week 1 then when he was finalizing the schedule for the year, called Stump but he had scheduled someone else week 1. That left Smalley scrambling for a week one opponent.

Timberview has good size and controlled the trenches. We had trouble stopping their run game and they were able to slow ours down. Combine that with the team being flat and Timberview not wanting to be #100. Made for a really good game. They are going to be a handful come tournament time. But through the adversity we were able to see the character of our team. They never backed down and kept fighting. That's all you can hope for.
