  4. The conservative de facto response is always “the parents”. Have you guys ever once considered, maybe these people don’t have parents? Or Maybe the parents are absolute morons? Whats the kid to do then? Conservatives don’t have an answer. Never have, never will. See my previous reply on condoms in school, sex Ed in school, planned parenthood With that said - I’m outta this thread. Clearly minds are already made up, so no point in me discussing any further

  5. district games will be picked up the next day. i remember a heated PAM game vs Humble at home and game was called in OT. PAM came back the next day fans and all and played for a min or so and won the game. i think both coaches have to agree on playing a non district game the next day. $$ for travel etc..take into account of all that despite being a 20-30 minute drive.

  6. They do not reschedule or continue play for non-district games. If this had been a district game, then possibly. And no, nothing was given to anyone.

  7. They didn’t give anything to Nederland. The rules were followed with a game that was called due to weather. Nederland won. It happens.

  11. To me it’s kinda like the gun buyback programs. Nobody is turning in a gun for a little bit of money if they want the gun, and nobody is getting the shot for $100 that wasn’t already ready to get the shot. It’s unrealistic to offer a cash incentive large enough to convince someone who doesn’t want to get the shot. If you offered $1500, and someone could pay their house and car notes for a month, I could see someone changing their mind and getting the shot. But $100? That’s not going to make anybody take a shot that they already felt was so risky that they wouldn’t get it for free.

  12. I think it's dumb to give somebody $100 bucks to get them to take a shot that's costing the US taxpayers who knows how much. Take it or don't. Mandates aren't right, either.

  13. Carthage is able to field two sides of the ball consistently with almost none playing both ways. They have been doing that for years now and you have to be supremely talented to slow them down. If your defense is rested then you have the best chance to do that. As for the Vidor game.... It amazes me when people say outcoached. That is the good and bad side of some fans from Silsbee. Never happy, no matter the effort, and that effort from a young team was just fine in my eyes. #tigernation

  14. I watched the game. Crosby had one big play and one long drive (probably 65-70 of Jone's yards were on that drive). the entire game, and Crosby was behind by the time your QB was limping. Your best drive was when he was too hurt to pass and had to hand the ball off. Now maybe Crosby's offense sucks, but y'all really didn't do much of anything against Carthage's D. I'm not a fan of either team, but just an interested observer. I don't think Carthage has a defense that could stop Manvel, but they made Crosby look pedestrian, even after their offense gave y'all the ball 5 times in the first half, often with great field position.

  25. You would think that to be common sense. Unfortunately, abortion is a convenient form of birth control. Instead of parents talking to their kids, offering condoms or the pill (as tough as that may seem - done that), using adoption as an alternative (accidents happen “OMG it broke!”), alternative ejaculation methods (oral, manual, anal) or just plain abstinence. Everyone of those options trumps murder by abortion (oh no, did I just say “trumps”).

  26. It would not have been game over, but definitely a game changer. I hadn't forgotten about that, or how good gilmers team was. Congrats to those guys from gilmer that made it. That makes 3 NFL players in that game. Dionte Thompson, who made that kick return, now plays for Arizona.

  29. Because the system is flawed The “family”. Less and less people attend church every year. God created the family what better place to go to than the BiBle. instead we cripple society with safety nets that depend on tax payers. if you want true change that’s were it has to start...the individual has to say “no more, I’m not gonna be like my absentee mom or my dead beat dad” and for those dead beat dads and absentee moms check your pride and see it for what it is and be disciplined enough to make the change and as well stay the course.

  31. As far as the personnel Crosby will be lining up with, it's typical Manvel: Receiver: Andre Thompson - small, but extremely fast guy. Probably the next Jaylen Waddle/Jojo Earle type kid. Already holds SEC, ACC and PAC 12 offers after his freshman year. Isiah King plays on the outside and is your typical X, already hold multiple SEC and power 5 offers going into his junior year Linemen: OT Tevin Shaw goes about 6-5/285lbs and is committed to UH. Defensive tackle goes about 6-4/265 and is committed to Purdue. DE/Edge is 6-4/220 and committed to Boston College Defensive back: One safety is committed to Stanford and the other one is committed to Colorado State. I guess we get break this year since they don't have their normal shutdown corners like Trent Gordon last year? Linebacker: Justin Medlock is committed to Miami and they have a '24 kid who doesn't hold any notable offers but looks like he's going to be just as good as Brian Johnson when he was there. Running backs: Starter doesn't hold any power 5 offers but it looks like about half the Ivy League has offered him. Backup transferred from Shadow Creek last year and ran for over 1,000 yards also. He's a smaller, quicker guy who I think might actually be the most trouble for Crosby. Quarterback: He's a junior and just played a pretty much flawless game against Dickinson in his first varsity start. Completed 15 passes to 8 different receivers. Don't see any dropoff at all from that position vs last year with Gabe Larry. Very good chance you see Malik Hornsby type play out of him his next couple of years under center. Other than that though, we shouldn't have any issues.

  35. Never have I seen a president turn his back on reporters like this guy always does…..turn and walk the other way like the coward he is. In fact, all democrats do this when the question or situation doesn’t suit them. Then, before turning his back, he says he is not supposed to take questions. Who says? What a wuss.

  38. I think Prieto knew he could run the ball on Carthage but that was not the goal. I believe he was more interested in getting the QB some game reps. With the defense on the field as much as they were it would make sense to run the ball to give them some rest. But they did not They actually went in to hurry up. Could be bad coaching or a method to the madness. Either way he lost a winnable game

  39. I think the Raiders win this one by a few scores. A lot of young talented guys on offense and a very scrappy and experienced defense.

    Week-2 Game Cancellations

Years ago we did away with the mumps, measles, chicken pox etc. by vaccinating all our kids at school age. With all the illegals coming into this country that are not vaccinated we are probably going to see a rise with those viruses again. Things are only going to get worse.
