  1. Lost me after “School’s Out”. To me the music wasn’t as good and Alice took off on his ego trip. The band resented this and it suffered because of it. I still listen to “Love it to Death”. Zaps me back to a place in time. It’s what life is anyway.....an entire collection of memories and I can relive some of them through music. I’m sure lots of others do too.

    Offense vs Defense

If you put all your biggest, baddest and most athletic players on defense what will you have? Vidor. That’s what you’ll have, a good defensive team that can’t put up points and loses close low scoring games.

  3. The way a coaching staff has to teach tackling has changed. With all the new rules for safety, etc. there is no more old school lead with the facemask, hit on the rise to speak of. It is now lead with the shoulders and so forth. Playing defense is hard now. Never know when you will get a penalty for targeting or leading with the top of the head. Offenses know this and it has made tackling in space much more difficult.

  4. I think it's how one plays defense. For example: Back in 1993 Silsbee played Nederland in a non district game. Silsbee running back Jay McGuire ran for a school record 454 yards rushing with 6 total TD's. He had over 600 all purpose yards in the game. Nederland QB Spurlock passed for over 350 yards in the game. Silsbee won the game, 48-44. Several weeks later, Silsbee played Nederland in the playoffs. Silsbee played the game without their star RB McGuire because he suffered a season ending injury the week before. Silsbee decided to change their defensive philosophy of zone coverage to man coverage and blitzed just about every down. The result, 10 sacks of the QB and two INT's that led to a 34-7 Silsbee win. It's not the offenses IMO, it's how you play defense.

  5. Well, I guess this will be my last post as a proud parent of a Pirate football player...next year I'll just be a fan. I'm blessed that I was able to hold my son on the 3yd line as the pain of his first, true broken heart sank in. Yep, just like that...It's over. I'm so proud of these kids for what they worked their tails off to accomplish this year. It was the pleasure of my life to watch them work, compete and grow into an unbelievable young men. I love ya J-Bo #6.

    BH vs. Dayton

I find Dayton to be a bit of an enigma. They certainly did not look like a winless team against Nederland when I saw them. I honestly thought they looked better than both Santa Fe and Texas City. It must be consistency issue.

    BH vs. Dayton

Yeah y’all have nothing to lose and that’s what makes you dangerous. Throw in a dislike for BH😃 and the Broncos will play their hearts out. Looks like it may be a rainy night, so my fair weather butt will be watching this one from da house 👍

  28. Now were talking. Great idea. I can agree with half of your list. My ex ruined most of the beatles for me, but Ringo changed drumming forever and that has to be worth something. I can't narrow all the music I listen to down to 10 bands. So I'll focus on a few different genres... Rap... UGK, Scarface, Eminem, 2pac, Bone Thugs. And I'm also a screw head Classic rock... Led Zeppelin, Clapton, ZZ Top, Hendrix, Blind Faith (only one album but it is deep, check it out if you haven't heard it) Modern rock... 311, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Pearl Jam Country... Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band Yea I know it's kinda all over the place. I've been listening to Phil Collins tonight at work. Just depends on the mood and the atmosphere.

  29. Seems like the mantra for Vidor the last few years, to put all the athletes on the defensive side of the ball. Although, it's helped us having a decent defense, but it's ultimately hurt the offense for not complimenting it and the low scoring losses seem to back that statement up, sadly.

  36. I’m sure CS doesn’t care what it took for them to win this game and it won’t be remembered that WOS had to sit out a number of starters due to a virus protocol. Best of luck to CS going forward.

  37. This^^^ no one is blaming the coach for the safety not guarding the receiver. He should of had help! Put your defense in the position to defend is the complaint. 4th and forever and a stop ends the game, they weren’t going to run it up the middle, Ned has two big playmakers in that situation #10 and big boy that took it to the house. If you want to blame it on a 16 year old safety and hold the coach unaccountable go for it.

  38. Silsbee started out last year 0-3, losing 9 of their first 14 games. Silsbee ended up losing a total of 13 games last year, yet still managed to get #1 seed in district and make regional tourney. I realize this is a different team, much younger team. But with HJ and HF out of the district for two years, I can see this group winning district again and making a few rounds in playoffs. They will still probably lose 10 or more games again.

  40. As much as I believe there was fraud in this election, it is time for Guliana to stop the press conferences and show America what they found. In essence, it’s time for Rudy to put up or shut up!!! Let’s see the actual proof, and overturn the election. It makes one wonder do they actually have what they say they have.

  42. Yessir you’re exactly right. It looks to me like PNG is really soft and play a very passive, finesse type of football. At the end of the day you’ve got to have some guys that will get after it and aggressively block and tackle the opponent if you’re to be successful. JMO

  48. As much as I would’ve loved Crosby to hold PNG under the 7.5ppg we were giving up since the start of district play, PNG did actually score another td albeit against mostly twos. Does someone mind changing the score to 54-14? Crosby only won by 40, not 47. Plus that receiver needs credit for his td, kid was one of the few PNG players I can point out that I would say played hard all night.
