I agree, from what I have seen I think their offense will be able to move the ball and put up some points but there is a weak point somewhere in that team judging by their past games. The Pirates just have to find that weakness and exploit it but you never know because like you said, every game counts now. Splendora could decide to pull out all the stops and play their best players both ways in district play. Which could shore up whatever weaknesses they have had to this point. Whether it be line help, defense or lack of depth but we shall see. They may have to move this game to Thursday, with all the Homecoming hoopla I just hope the Pirates show up focused and bring the pain. I look for a close game at halftime with Vidor pulling away late. Go Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

Seems like a hater on the board lol, lumberton basketball program has made big strides. I don’t know how good they will be this year but if some are talking about Lumberton maybe competing for a district title then that has to be a first so the coach must be doing something right.

I am happy that we have thread going this long about Orange County Basketball so it's a win already. That being said here is my prediction for the district. Silsbee (have to stick with the Kings until their dethroned) LCM (I would not be surprised if the win the district) a lot of team chemistry and they shoot it well. WOS (even with the girls coach he will get them better, my niece is in college because of Coach Wilson, he's a players coach and our boys will respond after the Barstow beat downs) It also helps that he had a 6'4 transfer from Dallas and a 6'2 from Doby Lumberton (D1 Mcclure should get them there. Also better defensively than the remaining in the district)

At this point I'd almost say PNG SHOULD spot them 20 points. We have no idea at this point if PNG can even execute a play without being down by 20. They turn into superheroes when down by 20.

AS a lifetime ASTROS fan, My wish is that the A's stop protecting Mike "Snitching" Fires. He is a total punk and I know the Astros want to face him. Snitches get stitches. He as avoided them all season.

I keep waiting for Silsbee to start their annual improvement. If it’s going to happen this year, this should be the game. Even then, wouldn’t expect a Tiger victory, but only losing by two TD’s would show it’s started. On the downside, if 2nd Place team gets Carthage, it’s turn out the lights. The Carthage OL is so big it has to effect the rotation of the earth when they’re all together. The grocery stores up there have to be doing a booming business.

I'm not the guy to talk smack but I must say...1. Deweyville is not the physically bigger team, we may have more experience on the OL but we're not bigger...and 2. The team speed goes to DV, no question. Please know, I'm not discrediting that HD has a good group but in my own opinion, we are smaller but faster. I like the grit from my team, they are a very physical and scrappy group. Hoping it will be a great game (hopefully this storm won't hinder this potential District Championship contest....but it is 2020 y'all...lol. Good luck to my Bobcat friends.

We only lost a few kids and I reckon they will be back in time for the playoffs. We're still a big favorite even without them. The loss of those kids won't matter if Hurricane Delta blows in and ruins homecoming for us. I have been waiting for my first homecoming so lets hope it passes. Go Pirates!!!!
