The fact that you said he under achieved is crazy. He had one really good player. And a couple other descent players that wouldnât have touched the court at most schools đ he did really well for that he had to work with in my opinion.Â
Yeah that team making the playoffs was a feat. Â They werenât very talented but at least they were small đ

The amount of posts on the community page about it being the AD that "ran him off" are comical.Â
OF is typically a stepping stone to get to a bigger higher paying school.Â
I was assuming that was the case.  Thank you đÂ

Keep it classy Ags.  I would say act like youâve been there butâŚ

Several have cast blame at the new AD for this happening and I just don't see it that way. Orangefield has basically turned into a little PNG over the years so there are lots of similarities, but you can't be upset about a guy bettering his situation in all facets. For the record, the new Orangefield coach is a rock star too.
Seemed like a natural move for Erickson to me too. Â Just seeing a lot of insinuations toward what you say. Â As I said, I know nothing of anything going on behind the scenes; just a lot of chatter about it. Â And completely agree on the new hire. Â His wife and her sister are excellent in their own rights so was happy to see him back in OF with the head job.Â

They brought out the big guns for tonight so I'm optimistic. (Scott Foster, Gucci Ref. Plus Tony Brothers on replay). It's all a moot point if we jump on Dallas early and make them start thinking about their vacation destinations.Â
I honestly thought they had quit before that last run in Game 3. Â Saw 83 percent of betting public was on Dallas before the series started. Â That blew my mind. Â Goes to show you that most casual basketball fans only pay attention to offense and scoring. Â Got so sick of hearing the Mavs have the best 2 players in the series (although Luka being the best is probably a given). Â But when your two âstarsâ are easily the worst two defenders of the 10 starters in the game, youâve got problem. Â Defense winning championships is still a thing.Â

He had a really good run at Orangefield, but can't blame the guy for moving up in classification, prestige, and income!
Agreed. Â And with a disclaimer that I donât know ANY inside info on this one, I can tell you that my OF peeps are BIG mad over this one. Â Doesnât seem shocking to me at all, seems like a no brainer from a coaching standpoint. Â But it seems some think there is more involved here internally in Bobcat country. Â

Playoff time is here. đ
Season ends tonight hopefully. Â I will say that before during this series, I got a glimpse of how obnoxious Cowboys fans must be (hard to gauge when you are one). Â At least with the Cowboys there have been rings won though.Â

Bill Walton NBA great dies at 71
The 30 for 30 they did on him âThe Luckiest Guy in the Worldâ is one of my favorite sports docs. And this tells you what you need to know about the man.Â

Headline: "Larry Allen died on June 2, 2024, while in Mexico. He was 52."
One of my favorite Cowboys and football players of all-time.
We were taking about him the week before this happened. Â When you ask who the best WR of all time is, almost everyone will say Jerry Rice. Â Larry Allen is the only correct answer at Guard.

Great hire PNG

You will not find many better ADs at the high school level than Smalley. Â I donât know the particulars of the reassignment but my guess is Daspit will turn out to be an excellent hire, as almost all of Smalleyâs hires are. Â His track record on hires speaks for itself. Â And the man truly supports and wants to win in all sports. Â That is a fact if you know anything about him. Â

Orangefield loses some key players including their probably their second and third best players (although imo they return their best player and their second most talented player). The Thomas kid has the tools to be really special before itâs all said and done. So that being said, I would say OF should be competing for district once again. Â And Scales will continue on his path to be the best to lace âem up in Bobcat country.Â

Head coach Brad Jeffcoat will be leaving the coaching business. He has taken an industrial sales job.Â
Coach Jeffcoat has really enhanced the basketball program at LC-M. He has done really well. He was 154-112 at LC-M. This is a very good job opening.
I expect a promotion to happen here and not an outside hire.
Â
On a personal note. I will miss my friend Brad in the gyms. Always enjoyed my time talking with him.
Good luck Coach on your new job!!
Brad is a great dude with a sharp sense of humor. Â They will miss him over here.Â

Coach Foster and I had talked earlier in the season and he told me this might be his last year to coach but still wasn't sure. Well, he is sure now.
It's been a great privilege to cover his teams. I always enjoy watching his teams play. They are always one of the best coached teams year in and year out.
But it's more of an honor and privilege to call Kevin my friend. He is just an absolute great man. He and his dad are the reasons I am a big Big Sandy fan.
I will miss Coach on the sidelines. Just won't be the same without him. But I also know we will keep in touch and he will be greeting me when I attend Wildcat basketball games.
Congrats Coach Foster!!! Job well done my friend!
Very well said. Â Iâve always said heâs the most underrated coach in our area. Â In my book, no one âtaughtâ the game better than Coach Foster. Â And it showed watching his teams play. Â And as great a coach as he is, heâs an even better person. Â Thatâs saying something.Â

Just testing my memory banks. They fail me sometimes. I know they had problems with Harvey and Imelda. Letâs face it though, Harvey flooded people who had never been flooded before. He broke the flood plane maps. Not sure how blame can be laid.Â
I feel this. Â
ÂReally interesting case. Â Probably more so to us than most any other place in the world. Honestly though, as someone who has heard eminent domain cases as an appointed âreferee,â these poor peopleâs case(s) do seem pretty analogous. Â

Hook em Scottie Sheffler! Â Best in the worldÂ
(And how about another 7 figure score for Dave Portnoy? Â Back to back futures with UConn and now Scottie.)

How do they do that anyways? And the Quick Books junk?
I have no idea. Â Never figured out what it accomplishes either.Â

I thought the team with Jase Statum (A&M) and Jacob Felts (UT) went 5 rounds or so deep?
