If they really told him on the tarmac at Easterwood to turn around and go back, that’s the most savage thing I’ve ever heard. We will probably never know but that’s a crazy report.

They need to look at the Michigan guy that’s been the interim, Sherron Moore.
I’ve been impressed with him too. I don’t know if he will get a top 10ish job like A&M but you gotta think he’s on a lot of radars now. He called a heckuva game yesterday in the biggest of games (I thought anyway ).

This is why I don’t pay him
Matt Jones source is probably Stoops. This could get interesting. I have a hard time believing this wasn’t done and the Aggie faithful flipped the script.

I wonder if we will ever know how close it got to being done?

Yeah I think we have to consider the possibility that Billy was right and he still doesn’t get hired. Bjork may have rightfully gotten a little scared.

Hopefully we just got him a raise or something.
Maybe so. Then again, the last time you guys hired a coach from Kentucky it turned out swimmingly. For Alabama.
Seriously though, if it is true, Bjork has to be feeling heat already, maybe before it’s too late to back back out. Just hire Elko if you can’t get one of the big guys. Stoops may turn out to be great with Aggie resources but smells a little like when some other idiots hired Charlie Strong.
Man USF was dumb

Lucci is saying it’s Mark Stoops and he will be in College Station tomorrow

that simply can’t be true, can it?

Same Lamar mens Basketball team under achieving under Brooks. They can only beat the weak teams, and D2 or NAIA
Getting kicked by Longwood today. Pretty poor basketball Has anyone ever heard of Longwood?
If the new AD does his job Brooks, the SB coach, and Baseball coach will be replaced
Obviously these 3 can’t get the job done, however I am afraid the Lamar administration doesn’t care
You’re wrong about the administration caring. Dr Taylor at least very much cares. But I can’t find fault with most of what you said. The game today wasn’t even as close as the score. Longwood’s coach is Griff Aldrich, who used to practice law in Houston. However, he’s got a good thing going at Longwood. They won 20 games last year and 26 games the year before. He’s in his 6th year in his first and only head coaching job. I think they are pretty happy with the direction of their program. Hopefully we will be one day.

Interesting notes, former NBA great Reggie Theus coaches Bethune Cookman and my all time favorite author, John Feinstein is the color guy for Longwood basketball.

Lamar wins 83-65. Tomorrow at Longwood.
Best they’ve played all season imo. Hopefully they take advantage of Longwood playing 3 OT periods yesterday vs Delaware St.

Are we getting to or at the point where we have to talk about Surratt for GOAT coach of high school football @Reagan? Seems like that should be a thing regardless of class or location.

The only team that had a chance to beat them, just got beat by them!
Carthage winning it this year, the next, and the next.
Agreed. Crazy how many sophomores play for them. This was the year to get them. And that was a dang fine PG team that just lost.

PG is the better team..!😉
Maybe. But Scott Surratt is Scott Surratt. It’s not an accident he’s about to have to start putting rings on his toes. He has great players for sure but good grief.

Nothing changes except the crowds start to swell in size and the atmosphere gets even more intense.
To the posters out there doubting the impact the Indian Band, the Indianettes, the Indian Faithful, and the other spirit groups have on the field, just ask the players and the coaches. Better yet, ask the other side of the field. They’ll all tell you.
See y’all tomorrow night. Scalp ‘em.
There are better teams, schools with way more titles, etc. But I’m honestly not sure if anyone “does” high school football better than PNG.

Lamar hosts high school basketball, baseball and softball games ever single year. So they’re definitely in the high school game. It’s different on Thanksgiving break.
I was told Stallworth didn’t have staff available to work either. PNG is having to provide their own limited concessions at CE King because they’re limited on staff as well.
Jeff O’Malley is doing a great job at building relationships back up in the community and he realizes how important the high schools are here.
He’s been fantastic. So has Dr Taylor, who is as committed to athletics as you will see in a university president.

heard he was going to BC next year
The Pirates have more football games to win. These are great topics for the off season.

Going to lose a heartbreaker on the road. Led as much as 18. With a 1 point lead and the ball with 30 seconds left (where they basically had to foul), Lamar inbounds and gets trapped and fail to call timeout. Get tied up and they had possession. Hit the game winner. Sometimes there is some head scratching stuff going on with that team. Basketball 101 type of stuff. Pacific steals on 77-76. Never should have happened. The last basket gave them their only lead of the game.

Would love to see Silsbee win this one. They can’t have one of those sloppy, undisciplined games though. But that’s the rest of the way. Gun to my head, I would pick Bellville for that reason.

Bellville is 12-0. The first game they’ve won against a team with a winning record was tonight.
THAT’S a crazy stat.

Brandon Prouse has done a heckuva job at Deweyville.

He probably wouldn't want to mess with recruiting, although I think he'd be very good at it,
You’re probably exactly right. If I’m Björk, he’s my first call though. He’d have to tell me no. And maybe it was for all we know.
And I’m no fan of B/CS but I’d take it any day over Detroit. Might be 109,001 on places I’d most like to live in America.

If true, he might be dumber than many of us thought. Honestly, I wasn’t sure that was physiologically possible.
