  1. For the first time in many years, there's actually a good bit of hype in bear country for some football. Beaumont or not, I expect the Bears to draw a crowd

  6. Saw this on another thread Lumberton The Raiders are poised for a leap forward in 2022 with 15 starters returning from a playoff squad. The offense has plenty of firepower with the return of QB Powell (2,552 yards, 25 TDs passing; 10 TDs rushing), WR Fuselier (19-434, 7 TDs receiving) and RB Jaddon Ward (981 yards, 12 TDs rushing). 8. They already are... if you processed more than $600 on an app last year (Venmo, Cashapp, Paypay) they're supposed to report those amounts to the IRS now. I know a kid that hustles stereo parts... he literally buys/sells thousands of dollars a year with other kids and most of it goes through apps. He would technically have to itemize his costs of goods sold or face paying taxes on 100% of his revenue. While they might not raise the little guys' tax rate, they'll definitely be looking to make sure that he's paying taxes on his side hustle... no counting the fact that the cost of everything we buy will go up further when they increase taxes on the big guys... they're going to pass their new, bigger tax bills on to us. It's so easy to predict.

  9. That was a rough year for us. We went 4-5 and had trouble scoring points. This '21 version of ours was similar in that way.

  11. From the article: "Billionaires, Hollywood celebrities, and climate activists share fame, fortune, and a profile they work hard to control. All of which is why so many are calling on a public company not to track their flights and expose their carbon footprints. AFP reports flight-following websites and Twitter accounts that offer real-time views of air traffic are on the end of regular pushback ranging from complaints to gear seizures by those who would rather their movements are not in the public domain." Brain dead, mentally ill sociopaths! [Hidden Content]

  12. I repeat, this District will be very tough this year, and any of 4 teams could win District, but here’s the deal: Vidor won the District last year. Has a good nucleus of returning starters, and I’m pretty sure the JV went undefeated. How anyone could leave them out of the discussion for repeating is beyond me. And since the District will send 4 quality teams to the playoffs, perhaps the District of Doom (9-4A-D1) won’t have the cakewalk they’ve had in many year past. Anyone following 10-4A-D1 this year, cinch up your belts and hand your false teeth to someone, dad gum it’s going to be a bull ride. 😂

  14. It is sad that we are a country where there is an advantage for a candidate to have more campaign funds. This is because we have a nation of low information voters that can be swayed, even as late as the debates, to vote a particular way because all they hear is lies and snippets about a candidate and are too lazy, stupid, apathetic or any combination to dig deeper. You could give the biden (or any liberal candidate) campaign any amount of money and it would never be enough to sway my vote because he has a track record that I go to the trouble of paying attention to. Soros is taking advantage of these useful idiots.

  15. Andy Evans read this and he may cry. Tony Valastro might disagree as well. The drop to 2A (present 3A) and Andy Evans getting a massive boost in participation really got it started. Russ Sutherland deserves a tremendous amount of credit as well. It's been since '95 that the program started its almost 30 year run of being a solid program.
