I was told , since the week after 4th is a UIL dead week due to the holiday, and Silsbee workout numbers were down last week due to increase in covid numbers statewide per media. Take the 2 weeks off and access . I got the feeling from coaches that an August start time, prob not gonna happen. But its anybody's guess?

Several schools have suspended workouts until July 13th and out an "abundance of caution." However, several are still ongoing.

I’m not posting about anyone in particular, but we’re not all Astrophysicist, and we’re not all even of average intelligence. There are many who have very low IQ’s. Add to that the large number of Mentally Ill suffering from TDS, and you have a major problem. It’s only natural one would get on this Forum. 😂🤣😂

Why would they be canceling workouts if not CV-19 related?

Silsbee is not the only area school that has suspended workouts as a precaution. Silsbee did not have a student with a positive test result but administration wanted to be cautious with all the numbers going up in last few weeks.

So far, Silsbee is the only area team that’s canceling voluntarily, not forced by reported COVID-19 case... rest of the ones were aware of were forced to cancel...

His response showed that sometimes we take action against wrongdoings and we don't always stay in the passive mode. I agree on the eye for an eye response, His was a response of justice, not revenge.

I mean obviously Katy High is the destination of choice. But Taylor isn’t terrible. They have put out some good recruits over the past few years. But yeah not my first choice lol

I'm not defending them or justifying their actions. Cancer in the human body is not good. We never know when we're gonna die. It could be 60 years or 60 seconds. But when the doctor says you only have 6 months to live, some begin to live life with a different attitude. I've seen people completely change for the better. Find religion, reconnect with family, makes amends, and say goodbye. Some may not follow this path. But those who do bring happiness and closure to people in a time of grief and sadness.

District games only, district champion makes playoffs. That eliminates 2 rounds. Most people been complaining about watered down playoffs anyway. So don't let a good crisis go to waste. Let's try to get it in the books before flu season. I'd rather an asstrick next to championship banner, than not crown a champion at all. Yea we gave the Nederland game away late and the PNG game too for that matter. The scrimmage with Silsbee last year was just about a stalemate, I think Vidor had a slim lead until the backups got in. Our defense played great last year but wore down late in several games when the offense struggled to keep the ball moving. You should see a completely different offense if things work out with the new/old QB coming back and the defense has returners at all key positions except linebacker, we lost some good'ns. But I'm telling you right here, right now... the key to this game will be, PHYSICAL SPEED!
