Some of you adult men should be ashamed of yourselves. These are teenagers and they have fought to get back into this game. Embarrassing.

Maybe Nederland plays like they did vs. Crawford and gets a road win @ Huntsville? These are 14-18 year old kids. Focus on what they did well. Down 20-7 and they keep competing for a road win. Find the positive. #10, #8, the defense getting a stop of 4th down to seal the win. This team could give you a bucket of gold and you would complain about the bucket.

Finished 6-4 and made the playoffs for the first time in school history. Hope they hold on to this coach for as long as they possibly can [Hidden Content]

Why does everyone think we post the playoff info Sat AM?? There's like 15 games every year on Saturday that impact the bracket....I've gotten about a dozen emails about this today...its the same thing every year lol

Port Arthur Memorial vs. Houston Waltrip Friday in Port Arthur’s Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m.

Thanks. Its an honor to have my name shared with some of those great pickems participates. I am not as good as most of them. I appreciate being able to play with you all. WOSdrummer99. Thank you for doing such an amazing job. You are the heart and soul of the pickems. Once again TY you all.

Congratulations @prepballfan for winning the regular season contest. This was the first time we've had so many perfect scores since I've been keeping track. 10 in total We still have 6 more weeks to go to crown the playoff and overall winners.

Well, the more I think about it Pujols would be a tremendous draw. He is well liked by everyone including the media. It would give the Astros a good PR shot in the arm as they need. Plus, who wouldn’t wanna play for Albert Pujols. His baseball mentality may be infectious.

I grew up in a football first household. Indians, Cowboys and Oilers.. In that order. My first year of School at Ridgewood was an election year. We had to choose what party we were. I chose Independent so I could wear a purple I on my shirt all day. Basically I thought it was Indian! I used to ride my bike to school, steal a random Port Arthur News off a driveway to go over district stats for the weeks game. The 8os were rough for PNG. We could only beat Nederland it seemed like! My freshman year at PNG I had English first period, first Friday of football I got sent to the office for reading the paper! I needed my stats and info, and I always made sure I had my “I beat Bob West” pics sent in on time. And yes I beat him several times and had proof! I have been lucky enough to see 3 PNG state championship games. As well as 3 quarterfinal games. Not bad for a school that uses home grown talent. Small towns and Friday night lights are always and will always be the best times of your life. Times have changed, I used to get on this site religiously, even won the pick ems one year. Was even a pollster. What I will say is this. Even with the times changing, SETX HS Football is the funnest and most die hard in the state of Texas. This board shows the enthusiasm and the desire from so many. It’s what’s makes SETX what it is. So congrats to all the playoff teams. Much luck in the playoffs. And to my Nederland fans, it’s been rough since Uncle Larry left, but I can’t say it upsets me…… Once little brother, always little brother. And to my Indians. Once again, we are district champs, and hopeful to make a playoff push! So this morning I decided I would dedicate a post to Bob West. He covered sports in the area better than anyone… Tom Halliburton as well. So with a no nonsense post, and I’m known for not being a rah rah… Times have changed, but one thing hasn’t. PNG is still on top of the mountain. Old school is for hardware, new school plays for participant ribbons….. Happy Saturday folks!! I’m still bleeding purple till my last breathe!! I won’t bore you will all of it.. 4 time state champs……. PNG….. Enough Said!!

From Newton Facebook The Newton Eagles new career rushing record holder is KJ Porter. KJ broke the 45 year old record of 6598 yards by Anthony Byerly. We'll have KJ's total yards in the morning! A well deserved congratulations to KJ Porter, a true Newton Eagle legend! Purple Pride Never Dies!!

HJ #1 Warren would be all state if he played somewhere else. He did everything for the hawks last night. Runs. Passes. Recovered and advanced onside kick. Interception. Open field tackled KJ. Kid deserves some recognition. All around the single best player i saw in this district. Would get my vote for MVP

Keep pushing that narrative. None of what we think or what you say matters to the kids that work their tails off for the blue and silver. 112%

Disagree strongly. He had all night to do it. Do it in the first half against kids who haven’t played both ways all night against a superior opponent. The game was never in doubt. He put his starters back in up 50 when Warren was on the goal line trying to score. You want to throw the ball with your backup QB don’t do it with 2 minutes on the game clock. His team may be full of winners but they didn’t learn sportsmanship from him last night.

Coach Morgan sent over the a screenshot of the DEC rules on a 4-way tiebreaker. It states head-to-head is extinguished. Refer to the 3-way tie protocol, 18 points (plus or minus), to determine the seeding.

Silsbee defense is very beat up. But credit to Shepherd for hitting those big plays.

We were down 20-0 at one point we truly looked uninspired out there but we didn't quit and came back and won it...onto Huntsville next week

Good job dogs. Huntsville next?

19-1 last two regular seasons Outstanding PA......

Anything on YouTube is better than nothing. I get that there are paid options, but I’m baffled why more schools don’t have something on YouTube for a little extra revenue.

There’s a ton of talented youth in this district. I expect it to be one of—if not the top—5AD1 districts in R3, if not the state next year.

This team as a whole has never had the talent like so many have said. We have played piss poor talent all season and the selfishness from so many of these players and their parents have caught up to them. No leadership and it’s all about me mentality by so many. Karma is real and hopefully most of the parents on this Team will learn to stay to stay in their lanes and quit trying to recreate their own personal agenda.

Post CONFIRMED coverage area Bi-District (1st round) info here. Post teams, date, time and place. Please only post confirmed info and not speculation. Info only please. NO COMMENTARY

This is Thursday I believe

It is what it is… Get revenge in basketball or something

Houston Waltrip I expect a clock running situation

Friday, 7:30 at Randall Reed. The district sent an email earlier today with the ticket link.

Well, Pujols was a great player? I’m not sure what kind of manager he would be. I know Brad Ausmus has proven to be a good player, coach and is well liked, so I’m rooting for Brad. I bet that’s who’s Bagwell’s pulling for as well.

I thought HJ were the Hawks. I heard Cherokee just as loud, maybe they're going to switch, congratulations Mustangs.

Hope all those parents that transferred their kids out of GCM to other schools for football reasons and ended up missing the playoffs have fun watching GCM win playoff games these next couple of years.

Lcm vs Houston Austin Friday 730 Beaumont doggett

SARCASM.........

Yep. First use of the feature, you just have to set your location. With so many using VPN’s, I found it easier to just put in zip code and distance. Still only gives limited view on phone because of all the graphics. But, it helps.

They haven't posted that info yet. Doing their bracket reveal tonight first. That info will come later.

Bridge City vs Stafford Friday 7:30 at Deer Park

I got yall playing Houston Waltrip unless the standings I saw and game results between them and Milby are wrong. Milby beat Waltrip.

I added the 1st round opponents to the final playoff spot/seed post.

Newton vs. Elkhart Thursday 7pm @ Timpson

I was there. No defense anywhere. Yes the halftime score was 56-49 with a combined 960 yards offense. Game ended at 11:00pm. The Trinity QB is insane. He had 5 passing TD’s, 3 rushing TD’s, 3 Interceptions including a Pick 6. The Trinity skill guys play both ways and they had to have been exhausted. The Fairfield defense finally got a few stops in that 2nd half to outlast Trinity to get the win.

Playoff time!

This is crazy. Sure hope someone isn't messing with DCTX score bot.

West Fork, at our field

Shouldn't have been that close? Nederland was fortunate to get out with the win.

No effort… a losers mentality… I’ve been surrounded by lots of ignorance in my life, but some folks have a way of shining extra bright

LP will return all the skill players except the TE, along with all but 4 other starting seniors. The D should be back closer to LP standards next year with a full year of experience.

Since when did La Porte and Port Arthur not like one another? 🤣

Yea, I was glad to see him just go down on those couple of plays and not risk taking a big hit to the leg.

The FCS playoff committee released it's weekly top 10 today and LU is #10! Saw one playoff projection that has LU with the 8 seed. That projection had SFA as the 2 seed, which would mean an LU loss to SFA yet still getting a first round bye. We shall see and Saturday is huge.

PAIN! for GP.
