The ignorance from this ordeal is laughable. It's a lot of LCM support or justification of obvious cheating. Did it completely dictate the result of the game? No. Did it play a role in the result of the game? Yes. Understanding tendencies or deciphering hand signals is gamesmanship, but having your hands on electronics your opponent uses to relay plays is full blown cheating. Both of these teams are good and based off the second half score it's a one possession game that could have gone either way. Player discovers opponents wrist band and then brings it to his coach. Coach gives the wrist band to the ref and it is returned to the team it belongs to and you play ball. It's that simple of a scenario that could have happened but when nobody was looking the wrong decision was made to gain a competitive advantage.

The defensive coordinator never signals the defense until after the BC players look at their watches.

Playing victim as if they are being attacked or accused of any wrongdoing. I'm not sure what he would have to be spiteful about given the evidence and circumstances. Let's see if LCM changes tune tomorrow in front of the UIL.

The winner/loser of this game has no effect whatsoever in my life. The coach is going to take the fall I know the focus is on him but it's the entire coaching staff. It's the arrogance being displayed. You want to hold 10 people with opinions accountable on the forum, yet you are ok with a coach showing the young men he mentors to avoid accountability and integrity.

At this point with video of the LCM player handing over the watch to an assistant coach. I am going to use critical thinking skills. The assistant coach lied during the meeting. He then owns up to it in the same meeting. He is now the face of the whole scandal and will face the jury. It goes way beyond that. LCM knew what they had. They used it to gain a huge advantage in a big game LCM staff has lied from half time of the BC -LCM game and the days following. Anyone who does not believe the watch was used by the LCM staff during the first half needs to be honest with themselves. They are really looking worse in this situation each day by continuing to lie and act offended they are being accused of cheating. No Accountability & No Integrity

No body said it is”clearly “ the only reason LCM won…but it was clearly used to gain a competitive edge and that means cheating and not being the role model these kids look up to!

How is BC the bad guy in any form for calling out LCM on stealing and using their technology? Seeking to opt up to a bigger classification versus actively and knowingly using another team's technology to gain a competitive advantage is not the same in any context. You must be outside your mind to suggest that it is. The thread for BC, HJ, and Liberty opting up is somewhere else on this site probably buried under threads from two years ago. It's a moot point that you are unearthing to try, and deflect attention off LCM's lack of doing things the right way.

BC has been losing to LCM and will lose again next year. LCM doesn’t need to cheat to win, and wouldn’t do that anyway.

Clear as day the kid brings it to the assistant coach (Gonzales) white cap and headset on. If you watch the video closely he is pacing back and forth behind the players looking down when BC has the ball. He will at times get behind some other coaches and at times the coach will turn toward him evidently saying something. He didn’t throw the watch toward the bench (complete lie). Once caught you begin to crawfish trying to get out of it. LCM people think it happened 3 weeks it water under the bridge. Well once a cheater always cheater and that needs to be dealt with by the UIL.

You can CLEARLY see Gonzales multiple times looking at the band, sneaking around in the back, and relaying information into his headset then flipping it up before the play started. Just go to the youtube recording and see for yourself. What is even more evident is when BC got off the bands, Gonzales can be seen out front close to the field trying to interpret the BC OC's hand signals. Completely different mannerism from the first half. Them having BC's play calling band handicapped the BC offense greatly and as soon as BC abandoned the bands, the offense starting off on LC-M. They gashed them on runs and were able to pass the ball with ease. Coincidence? I think not. Also, LCM saying no other coach knew about it is a load of hogwash.

False. BC 100% would have said something. LCM STOLE their $400-$500 watch. Still nowhere to be seen. Nobody just lets that go. Picture this: Somebody steals your phone, you know who it was, you got video proof. You just gonna keep quiet? It’s not about wins and losses. It’s about stealing, using stolen device to gain advantage, and then lying about it when questioned. Then they all make Gonzales the fall guy when their entire staff knew about it.

I am a Bobcat Dad, but have friends from both BC & LCM. I hate that them and their kids are suffering because of a lapse in judgment by the Coaches. With that being said, I can personally attest to the great man, Coach and father that Hunter Gonzales is. However, in the heat of the moment, competitive nature and the goal of winning may have taken over. If the video proves he had the band and his mannerisms and conduct on the sideline prove they were using it to have an unfair advantage against BC during the first half, then I totally believe it warrants a forfeit of their win. Especially, if the video exposes another Coach of having knowledge of the band as well! In a perfect World, we could make them replay the game, but since that cannot happen, I believe the only right thing to do is go with the score in the second half once BC knew they needed to abandon the use of the bands. JMO, but we all should have the moral obligation to get things right when it comes to kids, whether we like that outcome or not.

You're confused. That was mainly the lb coach i didn't see said wr coach and accused near the DC in the first half. Maybe I missed a few snaps... this is being portrayed as he relayed the signals to the DC from the band for every BC offensive snap in the first half. Thats NOT true at all. In fact personally im not seeing anything of him looking at a band and relaying anything. If anyone else cares to share different that I could be missing.. 2 big penalties missed on BCs best passes. All 5 lineman down field on their screen passes to 5. I did just see that.

This is the big part for me as well, one the BC coaches asked at halftime if LCM had it, they say no. Coach gets caught changes his story and just tosses it? Thats a bad look for the staff IMO. If your going to lie about not having it whose to say you wouldnt lie about using it for your advantage? Given you knew what was being sent out on the band.

Thats Pigskin Prep's formula.....we just run it on our site...it takes into account SOS, opponents SOS, etc.....if you are favored to win by 30 and you "only" win by 27 you'll drop some because you didnt cover the "spread"

If you are naive enough to think that Gonzales had no idea what he was holding in his hand and simply tossed it aside, I have some beachfront property for sale in Kansas if anyone is interested. So it went from we don't have it. Oh wait they have video evidence so yes we had it but it scared a coach when it buzzed so he threw it near the bench. I was talking to my cousin last night who coaches at Angleton and he told with the injuries they have on offense that they’re planning to try to run a bunch of Wildcat. If that’s the case and Jammer has to play QB along with the big X receiver on the outside hurt I like Crosby’s chances for defensive success. With the 12-5A-D1 positions pretty much locked in, with a win Crosby would get to host a College Station that tailor-made for the way we’re playing this year. Willis keeps falling into opportunities, let’s see if he can finally capitalize?

Actually, this is the right forum. Incident was at a high school football game. But I tend to agree, it was 15 years ago. Not really relevant other than it was the same person.

When a local news outlet (in this case KOGT, an Orange County news outlet) has published a name for all to see, then it's ok to post the name here as well. Personally, I don't recall the Ozen incident. But KOGT named the coach who will be going in front of UIL and it's Gonzales.

He has a young team this year that is getting experience. I understand 17 starters will return next year. I foresee a marked improvement next year!
