I often say this when you put hands down in your posts you are saying to everyone this is my strong opinion not actually a fact about your statement. Next time try to artuculate a reason why you believe your opinion to be true. Now thats not saying your wrong howevet it says to me you could have a bias for some reason or another. For example this years defense is smaller and faster like his first defense this is one reasin I think people are comparing them. Also we are throwing more with a better overall group of recivers. Like his first year. Matbe thats why they feel that way. Who knows.3 points -

Week-7 Port Arthur Memorial at Barbers Hill Predictions
KF89 and one other reacted to PackAttack for a topic
Game @ Barbers Hill, BH will be the one of the better teams PAM has played since FB Hightower. Even the Sports Science team with #1 QB is 2-3 right now and giving up a lot of points even in close games. It's a big game for Barbers Hill not to have 2 losses in district with 3 games to play. Those two district shutouts by PAM over Ball and United are impressive. I have no idea how this game will go, but as I have said before the season began, PAM is a head taller than most in district 9-5A DI this year, the title is theirs to lose. Never understood why DCTF kept picking Lufkin to win the district, they never understood as I did how much retooling (new coaches, new offensive and defensive systems) it was going to take for the Panthers this season. Don't know what PA Memorial will have next year, but they are loaded this year, this is the class everyone has been watching the past three years, just like the senior class was for Lufkin in 2024.2 points -

FBI Fires Agents Photographed Kneeling During 2020 George Floyd Protest!

Who? I am all in favor of freedom of speech. These agents weren’t charged with any crime. They have not been denied due process because they can appeal their termination and possibly get their jobs back. I don’t know about the FBI rules, but I know that most police departments have a conduct unbecoming policy. If you say or do something publicly which brings disrepute to the agency, you can face disciplinary action up to termination.2 points -

Mr. Buddy Garrity reacted to OlDawg for a topic
First real test for PAM. Will be keeping an eye on this contest. If Barrier keeps tossing up gimme's like he has so far this season, this could get ugly. If not, it will be closer than some expect. I could see BH pulling the upset if PAM gets frustrated. I think the game will come down to pressure on Barrier. PAM pressure = Barrier INT's = PAM win.1 point -

PN-G bamatex reacted to Darth Texas for a topic
Need to give a lot of props to Huntsville. I thought we would struggle with their run game, but grossly underestimated how good they actually are. My assessment of Huntsville after Cedar Park was they're really fast but blocking and tackling are far below the standard Southern established. I think I was right about that three weeks ago, but both improved very, very much since Cedar Park. I'm convinced that Huntsville is better than they were in the last two years, and are a legit danger to everyone in Region 3. I was extremely pleased with PNG's turnaround in the 2nd half, and I think the defense learned vital lessons about how to deal with such a competent, athletic offense. But, I hope we look at this as a close win. The most important play of the game was the missed field goal. Some could argue that Hville should have gone for it on 4th and 1, but I think going for the FG was the right decision. You have a chance to maybe get stuffed on 4th and give momentum back to PNG, or you have a chance to get 3 points and make it where even if PNG scored 14 unanswered they would have only tied the game. So, Moebes was right to take the field goal. But, with the missed field goal, it changed the entire schedule for Hville when PNG got to 24. Instead of being tied, they were playing from behind. Then, when we scored another TD they weren't simply down by 7, they were down by 10 (actually down by 11, but I'm discounting the safety for this analysis). Their margin of error got smaller, real fast. My point is, PNG should think of this game as we won by a field goal (second year in a row that this game came down largely to a missed field goal). HVille could have been so much more patient for a lot longer in the game with those three points on the board. This game was also a testament to the importance of keeping the ball out of your opponent's hands. PNG dominated time of possession in the 2nd half, especially in the 3rd quarter. We held the ball for long drives, played with patience, and limited their opportunities. In the end, the whole second half turned on about four or five total plays where we stuffed them or got a sack. If we had given them more opportunities, who knows what would have happened? In other words, our defensive success in the 2nd half had as much to do with our adjustments as it did with not giving them more plays. And, Hville was figuring it out -- That TD at the end wasn't a fluke. They hadn't tried that misdirect the whole 2nd half. The problem with that play is our whole defense has to commit to charging the running lane to stop the play if they run to the far side -- When they reverse the field, we don't have anyone there. If they had more chances to try that, it's a different ball game. Summary: Ecstatic with PNG's defense, play calling, and overall level of play. But after last week I consider Huntsville an extremely reasonable contender for regional champion. They are MUCH better than last year. If it works out that PNG and Huntsville meet in the playoffs it's a 50/50 game and Hville has all the weapons to be terrifying. The only big weakness I see right now is the Huntsville tackling. I'm still not sure how much of our run success was due to us being good or Hville still needing work in the tackling game. If that improves, watch out. Good game, Hornets.1 point -

I am pulling for Hardin! I told someone this week that a team from our 3A district will win at least a first round game and Hardin is going to break the ongoing "0-fer" 3A drought. I love their smash mouth style that I read about. Their physical play can strengthen this weak district. That's needed to advance. Go Hardin!1 point -
Bari Weiss Named CBS News Editor-In-Chief, Solidifying Network’s Rightward Shift | HuffPost Latest News In this article, HuffPo bemoans the fact that CBS is going to shift to the right. This is my favorite quote from the article: Ahead of July’s Skydance-Paramount merger, which required approval by the Federal Communications Commission, Ellison’s company promised the Trump administration it would bring “unbiased journalism” and “diverse viewpoints” that reflect the “varied ideological perspectives of American viewers” to CBS News ― strongly indicating a shift toward more Trump-friendly coverage. Gotta love that fearmongering, but to be fair, the Huffington Post isn't wrong. Unbiased journalism, diverse viewpoints, and varied ideological viewpoints would certainly be taking a right turn away from their liberal rag. Definitely not the point HuffPo was trying to make, but it's ironically accurate just the same. It's also hilarious that they're so upset about the possibility of a news source not devoting all of their energy to attacking Trump.1 point

Per JJ's post-game interview he was planning to begin getting ready for the Splendora game yesterday (Sunday). The starters will start I'm sure unless they're injured. The second half will probably be similar to the second half of the MLC game. That doesn't mean that the coaches will relax. "They all wear the same uniform", says coach JJ. If a second or 3rd or 4th team player screws up, then they will get a talking to.1 point -

Orangefield 49 Anahuac 14 Orangefield put together a good game plan to cage the Anahuac Panthers for Homecoming. Mason Manning opened the scoring with a 40 yd. run for a TD on their first series. The Panthers would hang around in the first half, down 21-14 late in the second quarter. But Colton Michael would squash any momentum they had with a blocked punt with a minute to play. Manning would score his fourth TD for a 28-14 lead. Manning would finish 134 yds. while QB Carson Gonzales was 10-11 for 228 yds. and two TD’s. Kaleb Menard and Hayden Clark would anchor the defense that shutout Anahuac in the second half. The Bobcats travel to Coldspring Friday.1 point -

West Fork: No, and that analysis is pretty simple. They aren’t as good as I thought they would be this year, and are actually much worse. Nederland: No, but it’s MCM. In 2022 a PNG team that later went to state had to throw a last minute TD to win against a terrible Nederland team. This year the bulldogs look weak at a bunch of levels but they were able to hang on in a shootout against a Dayton team that I think is at least slightly better than them on most days. I think we’re better, but we were better last year and they still managed to be better than us the night we played. Unless they start really getting dominated in the next two weeks, call that one a 50/50 and prepare like you’re the underdog. Dayton: Trap game. If we go into the last week at home with no losses and everyone assuming we’re going to be undefeated district champs, and looking past the Broncos into the playoffs, they have the offense to get us into a foot race. Their defense is bad, but they can put up points. So, no - I don’t think those three will beat us, but we have to just take it one game at a time. We’re beatable, and I hope we don’t let one of them prove it.1 point -

I believe Delbert Spell was still the DC for Monte Barrows 1st 2 years as head coach 2017 & 2018. ‘17 team went 8-3 , defense was solid, top 2 defense in district, had 2 DB’s that year with 8 picks each, both earned all state recognition, team interception total was like 30, lost in the 2nd rd. to loaded Manvel team. ‘18 defense, top 2 again in district, started season 9-0, finished 10-2 co- district champs, lost in 2nd rd to Marshall. The 2010, ‘11, ‘12 & 13 teams were loaded with strong defenses that won 4 district titles in a row, i believe without losing a district game in that run.1 point -
