In ways it seems like a lifetime ago and in others like it was just yesterday. I was working midnights at BPD. I got home to our house in Mauriceville and was getting ready for bed. I normally watched SportsCenter but every channel was covering what was going on in downtown New York City. I woke the wife up and sat on the edge of the bed watching in disbelief, horror and anger all at once. Our country was instantly brought together. Church rolls skyrocketed as people turned toward God. Sadly, people forget and memories fade. People turn squarely away from God and depravity, separation and divisiveness take back over. As real as “Remember the Alamo” was to our forefathers, “9/11 - Never Forget” is as real to me. Prayers for our country, prayers to those families who paid the ultimate sacrifice that day and prayers for healing, unity and revival. God bless America. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Just finished watching the debate. (taped it because I watched baseball last night). Harris won the debate. Not sure what that means going forward with the election, but she did better than Trump last night. She was more prepared.

I still remember to this day where I was. Junior at Lamar….coach jolly let us leave early and did’t tell us why. As I walked up to the setzer center (front) I could see thru the glass doors that alot of people were gathered around the small box tv that hung up on the wall…..in big letters the headline wrote America under attack…..showing the plane and then the collapse. I immediately back tracked to the end of my senior year and the convos I had with my cousin (same age) about us joining the marine corp after high school. I ended up getting a call from Mike Deane about playing basketball. So for me I went to college and my cousin went to the marines without me. But in that moment of seeing the TV I knew he would end up getting deployed(along with a few of my friends and classmates) and how I regretted choosing basketball over serving and defending our country and standing and fighting beside my cousin and friends. I felt selfish and still somewhat do. a few months later I took a flight to NY to see first hand the destruction and amongst the destruction I saw unity I saw togetherness I saw comradery.

Listen, I know it's hard to believe, but Peevey knows his team better than any dad or bleacher creature ever will. Sit back, tell your son to quit whining about having to share time and encourage him to go compete. May the best man win. This idiotic narrative about how Peevey has somehow forgotten to coach, when two years ago LCM was going to erect a statue of him, is asinine.

I’m just gonna throw my 2¢ in here. Someone said it. Nothing a couple of wins won’t cure. Folks, Peevey told yall at the parent meeting, EXPECT losses in pre district. I won’t talk about what’s going on with favoritism and punishment because I don’t know. I will say this, this Bears team has the potential to be the best he’s had yet. They fly to the ball, they push hard, and they play for each other. Bone headed penalties have killed us these last 2 games, no doubt. But all this bickering online will be the death of us. I saw people boo the refs on a blatant penalty. STOP. I call it like I see it. Cowbell or no cowbell. If it’s your son, talk to him after the game. Tell him what you saw. Facts! These football coaches in Beaumont have our kids playing everywhere but Beaumont. The crazy thing is the little leagues in Beaumont are doing amazing. We should be fielding high school teams that are contenders. SMH...

All I know is Kingwood would blow out both of PNG’s opponents by similar margins (and has proven it against BU), and DP against either would be worse. Klein Oak and BU are both doormats. Sorry. Kingwood will challenge King for the 4th spot this year IMHO, and DP is a perennial PO team. Neither are 6A juggernauts. But, both are solid. Especially at home. It’s a fan board for us fans. I seriously doubt if the PNG staff/players are thinking they’ll roll LP.

That makes it sound like the reason he was replaced was because of Republican pressure, which is the complete opposite of the truth. He was replace by Democratic leadership because they knew he could not win. So none of those answers are valid.

Trump lost the debate, but it's not devastating. Both sides are sooooooo over dramatic.

I think whoever wins FBM’s district will play PNG is the title game. Right now I still think FBM probably win it. Their QB play is usually mediocre most of the time but this year I think they have “good mediocre” QB play. I like Randle because of that sick RB but FBM has like 7 D1 kids on defense so I for now I lean them. I think schools like Anna and Melissa are a lot better matchup for PNG personnel wise, they’re line of scrimmage teams and PNG excels there in 5A-D2. Maybe they struggle with Lovejoy’s passing game but them being a defensive team now I would still lean PNG. SOC would be the most obvious out for them but them only mustering 12 points this year kind of makes me wonder how good their offense really is since they can’t hand it to Green anymore? We’ll see this week against Longview though, kind of tough to judge them off of games with the two best teams in the state. Right now I got PNG’s defense though.

I think Biden would of been easier to beat - and so did the Democratic leadership. I'm not a normal Republican - I got no joy seeing Biden struggle. My Mother struggled for over 10 years with Alzheimer's before passing and my Father died at 90 with Dementia. Talking him out of running that second term was probably just as difficult as it was for me taking my Fathers keys to his truck. So no, I do not wish Biden back on the ticket.

Unfortunately so. D-dub great coach great guy still a big part of LCM. Moody was pretty much a disaster except one decent year. Crouch tried to bring some of that Wos juice just didn't pan out. IMO for what it's worth he was too much a front runner. Peevey has done an OK job considering the talent he's inherited.

It was not a good night for Trump. He made some good points, the best one IMO, "leave right now, go wake up Joe at 4pm and close the border, you don't need Congress, you have the power, but your not going to do it" I think Harris team agreed to another debate right after, so he may have one more chance. This was not a critical blow for Trump, but I don't think he won over any new voters.

Leslie's Place (sister store to Ten West Diner in Orange) has good all-day breakfast if thats what you're craving. Judice's Cajun Cafe was pretty solid, havent been there in a few years though. Brick Oven Pizza has the best wings imo.

I purposely avoided media/internet after the debate, more wanting to gauge the reactions of people who are interested... other than the Reagan-minded (he cleaned the floor with her!) perspectives, I found a few interesting points. Obviously Kamala voters were claiming a decisive win.. I felt like she won handily. Most reasonable people that I know were giving the nod to Kamala. Most of the "well, you have two choices come November and it's and easy Trump choice for me" posters were eerily quiet. The headlines on Drudge this morning were "Trump Demands ABC Be Shut Down for Daring to Fact Check Debate" because he actually said it this morning on Fox. [Hidden Content] "The Night Trump Lost It All" and "The End" were other headlines with accompanying stories. I can't remember hearing of an election cycle where a candidate basically won the election with the first debate, then lost it with the second.... but that kinda seems like what we're seeing. It was a bad night for Trump, no doubt. I guess the question is "how bad is it going to hurt?"

Nobody is crying chief. Breaux wasn't a disciplinarian, he was a donkey who talked down to, ridiculed, and belittled his players instead of coaching them. That's not coaching tough, there's a huge difference. I have no problem with discipline and tough coaching, but it should be for all players on the team, not just some regardless of what anybody thinks, especially you. And if you'd read what I've been saying you'd understand that my problem is with exactly that, only coaching some tough and NOT holding all accountable, so get out of here with your BS. Peevey is in a losing battle because he has created an atmosphere where some can do whatever they want, and the rest are sick of it. There was a debate on here on who the better coach was between Wagoneer and Peevey. I bet you money that Wagoneer doesn't have that problem with his team. Anybody care to chime in on that?

Way too much to nothing at all.I have watched both of these teams play Friendswood against Marshall and Crosby against Baytown Lee and it's sad what is taking place in Crosby.Marshall's QB ( 6'6 ) will set in the pocket and throw to Ferguson and Feast on quick throws and then air one long all night.Unless Windfont is used in a blitzing scheme he will be a non factor.Friendswood played them close because they used a SMART offensive scheme against them.I've been a Crosby supporter for 15 years or more and can't ever remember seeing such a badly coached Cougar team.Crosby has a sophomore and freshman class I think will be awesome if the right coaching staff is in place.The kids deserve better.

Two games against lower classification teams and only 14 points to show for it. Terrible. The offensive scheme just looks ridiculous.
