In ways it seems like a lifetime ago and in others like it was just yesterday. I was working midnights at BPD. I got home to our house in Mauriceville and was getting ready for bed. I normally watched SportsCenter but every channel was covering what was going on in downtown New York City. I woke the wife up and sat on the edge of the bed watching in disbelief, horror and anger all at once. Our country was instantly brought together. Church rolls skyrocketed as people turned toward God. Sadly, people forget and memories fade. People turn squarely away from God and depravity, separation and divisiveness take back over. As real as “Remember the Alamo” was to our forefathers, “9/11 - Never Forget” is as real to me. Prayers for our country, prayers to those families who paid the ultimate sacrifice that day and prayers for healing, unity and revival. God bless America. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Just finished watching the debate. (taped it because I watched baseball last night). Harris won the debate. Not sure what that means going forward with the election, but she did better than Trump last night. She was more prepared.

I still remember to this day where I was. Junior at Lamar….coach jolly let us leave early and did’t tell us why. As I walked up to the setzer center (front) I could see thru the glass doors that alot of people were gathered around the small box tv that hung up on the wall…..in big letters the headline wrote America under attack…..showing the plane and then the collapse. I immediately back tracked to the end of my senior year and the convos I had with my cousin (same age) about us joining the marine corp after high school. I ended up getting a call from Mike Deane about playing basketball. So for me I went to college and my cousin went to the marines without me. But in that moment of seeing the TV I knew he would end up getting deployed(along with a few of my friends and classmates) and how I regretted choosing basketball over serving and defending our country and standing and fighting beside my cousin and friends. I felt selfish and still somewhat do. a few months later I took a flight to NY to see first hand the destruction and amongst the destruction I saw unity I saw togetherness I saw comradery.

Listen, I know it's hard to believe, but Peevey knows his team better than any dad or bleacher creature ever will. I’m just gonna throw my 2¢ in here. Someone said it. Nothing a couple of wins won’t cure. Folks, Peevey told yall at the parent meeting, EXPECT losses in pre district. I won’t talk about what’s going on with favoritism and punishment because I don’t know. I will say this, this Bears team has the potential to be the best he’s had yet. They fly to the ball, they push hard, and they play for each other. Bone headed penalties have killed us these last 2 games, no doubt. But all this bickering online will be the death of us. I saw people boo the refs on a blatant penalty. STOP. I call it like I see it. Cowbell or no cowbell. If it’s your son, talk to him after the game. Tell him what you saw. Facts! These football coaches in Beaumont have our kids playing everywhere but Beaumont. The crazy thing is the little leagues in Beaumont are doing amazing. We should be fielding high school teams that are contenders. SMH...

All I know is Kingwood would blow out both of PNG’s opponents by similar margins (and has proven it against BU), and DP against either would be worse. Klein Oak and BU are both doormats. Sorry. Kingwood will challenge King for the 4th spot this year IMHO, and DP is a perennial PO team. Neither are 6A juggernauts. But, both are solid. Especially at home. It’s a fan board for us fans. I seriously doubt if the PNG staff/players are thinking they’ll roll LP.

That makes it sound like the reason he was replaced was because of Republican pressure, which is the complete opposite of the truth. He was replace by Democratic leadership because they knew he could not win. So none of those answers are valid.

Nothing democratic about the way Biden was handled. He’s been that way his whole term, but the decision wasn’t made until after Trump kicked his arse in the debate. Well, Forney graduated some key components from their last two seasons and it shows, they returned 5/5 from last year. Forney gave up 30 to LH who is ranked #75 in 6A. Forney has a young defense, they may be a little overrated in the polls.

It was not a good night for Trump. He made some good points, the best one IMO, "leave right now, go wake up Joe at 4pm and close the border, you don't need Congress, you have the power, but your not going to do it" I think Harris team agreed to another debate right after, so he may have one more chance. This was not a critical blow for Trump, but I don't think he won over any new voters.

Can't argue with that statement.... Talent goes a long way in making a coach look good or not so good. In the years that Peevey had very good success, he had talented teams.

Exactly and from a moderate perspective. This went as good as Kamala could hope for. Trump set his expectations(too high) on a clear beat down of Harris . That did not happen tonight. Debates do matter to folks still undecided waiting on either to win their vote. And I don’t see how anyone who’s undecided watch the debate and moved closer to trump. For reason I care not to explain I don’t necessarily like Kamala and have been waiting for Trump to show me something different. He beat Joe and I went fully trump.(between the two). Know I’m leaning more Kamala. Trump should beg for another debate and take it even if it’s hosted by Hillary. Trump is too powerful and rich to not have smart enough people around him who can help win this for him. He just have to come to reality that he’s not the smartest guy in the room always.

I remember the good ole days when parents could put team goals above personal agendas. Eric Peevey is a good coach and that's a good staff full of good men. They didn't forget how to coach, lead, or discipline. They will win a lot of games this year. Try to enjoy it.
