BU was leading 20-7 at the half. Immediately after halftime BU scored again going up 26-7. At that point, BU went conservative on play calls and subbed out a lot of starters. In my opinion, they did that way too early and Bellaire got a little confidence going against the backups, scoring 2 late touchdowns. Not saying BU will win the game but I'm hoping for a better showing than what took place last year.3 points -

Exactly - Glad someone brought up the important issues. PNG’s rolling out one of their favorite atmospheres. We call it: “Everyone wear purple and bring more fans than the home team.” And, by all reports BU has physical speed in abundance. We’ll know by game time whether they have the seven other kinds of speed (Recognized in the “Dictionary of Speed” as emotional, spiritual, mental, astrological, nuclear, cellular, and amphetamine).2 points

Oregon 'lost a generation of people' due to now-reversed liberal drug law, says GOP leader
Reagan and one other reacted to LumRaiderFan for a topic
[Hidden Content] The results of democrat policies...shocker. From the article: Addiction and drug-related deaths skyrocketed in the years following Oregon’s 2020 decriminalization, which was passed with 58% of voters’ support. The law has been described as the most liberal drug law ever to take effect in the U.S. "Unfortunately, because we decriminalized it for those few years, we've lost a generation, I believe, of people because of these drugs. And you don't get to have those times anymore," Helfrich said. "People can’t even go into public and take their kids to the park because they're dealing with the death, they're dealing with drug use, dealing with all those bad things that are happening. And this is just horrible policies."2 points -
We really don’t care they changed the name it will always be known as “The Butch” maybe generations later it will fade just like everything else the wish would go away. You can’t erase the history just program those that don’t know any difference.1 point

LSSS threw for 275 and rushed for 80. HC 202 Passing and 249 rushing based on the hudl recap vid I found. Hitchcock lost the game because of a goaline turnover that cost them 7 points and overall bad special teams play that put LSSS on some short fields. LSSS had a lot more depth than HC, especially on the defensive front where they were able to rotate their front to stay fresh. HC QB Chubby Jones is the real deal though. If you have never seen him live you are in a for a real treat. His ability to keep plays alive with his legs is pretty incredible as he was able to make a very good front 7 from legacy look just OK. I cant imagine that HF front 7 will be as good as what LSSS put out there. But this will be my first time to see the Longhorns play in person. Should be a fun game. The last 2 State 7on7 Champs in Division 2 going at it at Bulldog stadium. I hope the rain holds off!1 point

rupert3 reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
Yes. We are starting to get into that "magic number" territory. (btw, it's 18) 6 1/2 up with 24 games remaining. If Astros can just go 14-10 the rest of the way, they will win the division easily. Seattle will have to go 20-3 the rest of the way to tie Houston. Mariners just ain't that good enough to pull that off. Like I stated earlier, all Houston needs to do is get to 86-87 wins (basically play .500 ball the rest of season) and that will be enough to win division. Currently, they are projected to win 90 games and Seattle to win 82.1 point -

It was really meant for Big Girl, but as the saying goes….”If the shoe fits…wear it”. Here’s the deal……if we enter Christian values into the equation, 90% of the liberal beliefs would be null and void. Everything about democrats is anti-something. Democrats boo God. This country and it’s values have carried it for centuries as being the best place to live in the world. Why would anyone try to “anti” anything. Sure there are flaws, but to attempt an about face is totally ridiculous.1 point -

Stats for this game from Max Preps(may or may not be accused😃) Zelle Cantu QB had 200 yards completing 80% and 5 TD’s. Max didn’t have any rushing yards for him, but I know he went for 15 ish and trucked a DB. k. Schuelzky RB got most of the yards from the three backs at 84 and 1TD while DJ Jorden got 14.3 yards a carry on 4 carries. Trip Davis hauled in 3 catches for 64 yards and a TD wile 8 other receivers combined for 162 yards1 point -

Crosby (14) @ Dayton (19) - FINAL
2wedge reacted to Cougar14.2 for a topic
Well, the statistics back up the awful offensive performance. Luke Wheeler was the leading passer for Crosby with 25 yards. Yarbrough had an overall good night with 189 yards on 27 carries but if you look into it that's also pretty concerning. 89 yards came on the two TD runs in the first half but after that it's 25 carries for 100 yards or 4ypc. Crosby has a sophomore who I mentioned earlier in the week had Austin Walter-like ability but Dayton would have to deal with him because Willis was going to line him up in the slot. I believe he had two carries for zero yards and one catch for 11 yards. I mentioned Willis compounding his poor play-calling with questionable personnel decisions. The Crosby receiver that dropped the TD pass has consistently done so in practice as well as game situations but he's a senior and Willis continues to play him over kids who have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to make those plays. Willis constantly rotates the QB's at practice, I didn't think that was something he was going to carry over to the game though. Neither QB could get into a rhythm running windsprints over to the sideline after every play. Mediocre to bad QB play is something that has been consistent with Willis' offenses the last few years. Kids that were solid in Prieto's system look like they've neve played QB under Willis. I'm not sure that Crosby has ever had anybody on campus that knows more football than Joe Willis and he may be a great coach but he just doesn't fit the personnel at Crosby. He's an old school guy stuck in his ways and he's getting the brakes beat off of him by younger coaches with less talented teams running more dynamic systems. I think Coach Willis is a great teacher of the game and the kids love him but two weeks from now you're probably talking about a coach who's 2-11 through his first 13 games at Crosby after coming off of a 2-8 season at his previous stop. At the end of the day it's not Willis' fault, Crosby was desperate and probably paid a nice asking price. It's certainly not the kids' fault as they're still signing scholarships and going off to play college football. When somebody gets hurt at work we always look for the "root cause" of the injury. The root cause of Crosby's injury is their administration and particularly the superintendent. They say stuff rolls downhill and right now Crosby fans are standing at the bottom of a mountain. Hopefully we can finish with some type of respectability for the seniors and the admins. make the needed personnel moves after the season.1 point -

Two of the toughest positions to play both ways is RB and Inside LB. That is what Farr is trying to do. We do need a 3rd RB to emerge to help out. IMO, Farr is too important on the defensive side. Need him more there than on offense. I think Gaines can manage both being we have more players to help in the secondary.1 point -

I'd like to keep this one going a bit longer. 40-34 was an instant classic last season. Hoping for more excitement again this Friday. Let's go meet em. 🧢 WOS 112%1 point
