Ever seen? PA Lincoln's James Gamble says hello. Coach Gamble had two All-Americans...Earl Evans (1973) and Anthony Allen (1986). I think both won the Mr. Texas basketball award or whatever it was called in the seventies and eighties. Evans went to UNLV and Allen to Georgetown. Neither one had the NBA career that Boutte's Kendrick Perkins had, though. Toss up between Coach Gamble and Coach Boutte, but I'm a slight lean for Coach Gamble...I'm old.

I actually had a feeling Brook would win this based on how well Brook played them last time as well as me knowing they were playing at home AND by Brook playing something (seeding) and Cita playing for NOTHING.

All depends on who is willing to host. Lot's of times if a school has teams in the playoffs, they do not want to host another playoff game. Most admins and staff want to attend their own teams playoff game. Now if it is scheduled on different nights (in this case Monday vs. Tuesday) then that helps. If this turns into a doubleheader with HJ/Silsbee girls, then something tells me that the possibility of the Montagne Center is pretty great.

Looks like I'll be at Tarkington Thursday night and East Chambers Friday night. Thought really hard about going to Spurger for Chester/Zavalla play in game but just couldn't pass up that doubleheader in Winnie. As much as I value play in games over seed games, those two games each being a trilogy is just too enticing. Besides, gives me a reason to go to Tia's again.

Playing devil's advocate here - Cita' had nothing to gain or lose in this game - Still going into the playoffs as the #1 seed. Flip side - WB can use that momentum and make some noise in the playoffs!

What crazy is this Silsbee bunch could have had a lot more size and depth if all the kids from the class of 24 had stayed committed to basketball. A few kids didn't play past their freshman and sophomore years. Speaking of not playing, they got a freshman now that looks to be pushing 6'6. Not playing basketball though.

McDonald is an amazing person and a great coach. I would absolutely love to see him step up into the HC spot!

Man, great move by Reyes and a bad situation for Lumberton. This should be a fairly desirable job for a coach who wants to step into a good situation.

O L will be biggest it's been in a while, but young. They will be 250 to 290 across the board. Defense will be bigger and better on the front 7, but they loose those seniors in the secondary , which was the strength of their defense. Q B returns, but skill kids are all young, theres some potential there though. Your gonna see names like Miller, Cartwright, Brown, just younger . The Farr kid will be back from knee injury, at running back, and Linebacker. I predict this team will struggle early, but finish strong. time will tell.

I guess 3 state titles, 9 appearances & producing the only two MCDAA from this area don’t count for nothing huh? Lol

Raiders Super Bowl sabotaged by their own coach? He changed up the whole game plan the Friday before the Super Bowl. Went from a run heavy to pass oriented plan throwing 60 times a game. The center makes the call for the line and he begged the coach not to change things because there's not enough time to learn the required blocking assignments and change-ups. So, is this concern real? Or is this something that normal 2 days before the SB?
