Trump Running in 2024
bullets13 and one other reacted to CardinalBacker for a topic
Additionally, The democrat plan is working to perfection. Every time Trump gets indicted his numbers among Republican candidates go up. The last thing the Dems want is for trump to drop out of the race. They need him to get nominated, and the mouth breathers in the red hats don’t even realize what’s happening. ”But look at the size of his rallies!!! I just know in my heart he’s going to win in’24’!!!” Nice opinion, sir… too bad it’s not rooted in reality.2 points -
Combining schools isn't necessarily the answer, until you hold the administration accountable and improve the pay for teachers and coaches. BISD will always be behind, the rest of the state, trying to catch up.2 points

If I remember correctly, Nolan wanted a mere $million per year and was turned down. As for Verlander, who doesn’t like him? I have to admit his pitching did not help us win the WS. Valdez and Javier were the better pitchers.1 point

Not only knew, but he is part of it, just like Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, and probably lots of others. Trump was about to blow it wide open, just like what’s happening now. Illegal gains made from insider info, climate change, infrastructure (Schumer with his fist pump), send it to Ukraine and have it laundered, then stuff it in an offshore account. Of course all leftys deny any wrongdoing.1 point

just to let you know, we lost our starting running back early in the season he was a beast. but the lil running back you saw tearing up defenses all thru the playoffs wasn't even the starter. Like you said though you cant say what woulda shoulda coulda happened with them LH not having their starting rbs. If we would have had Tommy there isn't any telling what woulda shoulda coulda could have happened. regardless it's in the past. that season is over. Now it is time for the coaching staff and new starters and second teamers that are getting their chance to shine. I don't put much stock into rankings, losing 37 seniors I don't think Png should be ranked even close to the top 10 but that's me. But now that we have a coaching staff that has a real defensive coordinator and a proven background, I like our chances against any team in our district and once playoffs start anything can happen as you saw last year. but then again maybe we don't make the playoffs but doubt that seriously.1 point

And it certainly is not a dumb question. The Facebook lawyers have about 12 different answers though. 🤪 Yes… Witnesses, statements, a statement by the person accused, video or photographs, fingerprints or anything else will determine the outcome. Just for a point of law and I would not want to be there, you do not have to prove self-defense. If you make a claim of self-defense and bring up any evidence allowed into court to support that claim, the state (DA) then has the burden to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was not self-defense. It is called a defense to prosecution.1 point

There are so many what if questions. A single sentence can change a justified shooting into Murder or vice versa. The law is specific in what crimes justify deadly force in order to recover property if the suspect is actually fleeing with the property. Those crimes are Burglary (breaking into a residence or building), Robbery, Aggravated Robbery and Theft if the theft occurs in the nighttime. Those four crimes alone, justify deadly force to stop a person from getting away with property. It is not to be confused with other crimes where deadly force could be used to stop the crime from being committed such as Arson or Sexual Assault. I am talking just running or driving away with the property. For example, if somebody steals your kid’s bicycle from the front yard in the daylight and there are no other facts (like he threatened to kill you), can you lawfully use deadly force to get the bicycle back? In my opinion and the way I read the law, absolutely not. That would likely be Murder. So while we are playing what if, what if you chase him and as you get close to him and he still has the bicycle, he pulls a pocket knife out and threatens to kill you? At that point the misdemeanor Theft during the daylight, just became an Aggravated Robbery. Aggravated Robbery is one of the four specific crimes that possibly justify the use of deadly force to get property back….. IF… IF, you reasonably believed that the property could not reasonably be recovered by other means OR…. an attempt to get the property back would expose you to an unreasonable risk of serious injury or death. That is the problem with making blanket statements but if you want to get on Facebook, get ready for the blanket statements. So not legal advice but generally what the law appears to say to me about using deadly force only to protect property after doing it for 38 years… IF a person is committing one of the four specifically mentioned crimes AND IF the person is escaping with property AND IF a person reasonably appears that he would get away without recovering the property OR IF attempting to recover, the property, would expose you to serious injury or death…. Then it is likely justified. All of the AND and AND IF situations must be covered. They are not mutually exclusive. 1. 4 crimes and, 2. escaping with property and, 3. not reasonably likely to recover the property by other means or, The recovery would expose you to serious injury or death. Clear as mud? We could probably sit here and think up of 100 different situation.1 point

I agree… Trump has the overwhelming support of 40% voters. It’s really amazing to see how much merch he sells to people who can’t tell that he’s about to lose the fourth consecutive election cycle. The only problem is that 56% of all voters say “anybody but Trump,” and they mean it. Literally anybody but Trump. How’d them big rallies work out last time? 12 point loss in total votes, 14 point loss in the electoral college. And nobody is saying “do you see how much trouble Trump is in? I think I’m going to change my vote to Trump this time around.”1 point -
Bob was at the top of his chosen profession. To a lot of extent, he is from a passing era in sports writing. Few sportswriters and editors have had the excellent longevity and following of Bob West. How many people work for a single newspaper for almost 5 decades? He called ‘em like he saw ‘em. A few times I definitely would not agree on his perspective on an issue or player but the proof of his skill was that I always came back to read what he had to say on his next article. He definitely has left a legacy of events that he has been involved with from roasts, to celebrity golf events, to contests and I believe that he was instrumental in creating and bringing the Bum Phillips Trophy to Mid-County Madness which I think was thought up by members of his staff. I had spoken to West on a couple of occasions, mostly from working security at events. I have known his wife Genie for probably about 40 years from her work as a nurse at St. Mary Hospital and me being a police officer. The likes of Bob West don’t come along often in a lifetime. Condolences to his family and friends.1 point

Always interested in competition. But those are the districts we fully cover due to close proximity to SETX. Any particular team are you referring to? Feel free to start a topic if there's not one already. For example, we got a dedicated Bellville fan that keeps us up with them. Although not in our coverage area, their district matches up with us in the 1st round.1 point -
Png 2023 ??
biaplayer reacted to PN-G bamatex for a topic
Preface: I live a stone's throw from Liberty Hill these days and spend a lot of time there. The day PN-G and Liberty Hill played last season, I threw on my PN-G gear and stopped at the Liberty Hill Dairy Queen for lunch before hitting the road to Katy. I respect everything the Panther program has accomplished. By no means should this post be construed as me downplaying their success. It's asinine to reduce PN-G to "a good story" and suggest the Indians haven't shown longevity comparable to Liberty Hill's when, over the last ten seasons, the Indians have won 71% of their games, finished four seasons with ten or more wins and finished the season in the third round of the playoffs or higher five times. Keep in mind that one of those ten win seasons occurred despite a game cancellation caused by Hurricane Harvey. Granted, Liberty Hill sports a better playoff record and a higher win percentage (79%) over the same time period. Liberty Hill was also 4ADI for seven of those ten seasons; didn't contend with three hurricanes, record-shattering rainfall from a fourth tropical cyclone, undue humiliation wrought by undeserved national media hysteria and a major industrial explosion during that period; and plays in a generally weaker region than PN-G. Liberty Hill is also a fast-growing and much more affluent community than anywhere in Southeast Texas, and has been showering its school district with extravagant resources for well over a decade. A recent former Liberty Hill school board member told me last year that roughly half of LHISD students today have out-of-state birth certificates. If we're going to bring longevity into the argument, let's account for the wildly disparate levels of adversity. There's more to this game than the surface-level numbers. Put the two teams on the same football field and I'll take the purple and white over the purple and gold any damn day of the week.1 point -
