It's always funny when I read any of these threads and people talk about paying Surratt. He could have any open job in the state of Texas, but people think he's gonna come coach PNG or Vidor or Bridge City, or whatever. If he were to go anywhere, I'd imagine it would be to a 6A school in Dallas or Houston. He's certainly not coming to SETX just because some school is willing to pay him $25K more a year than he's making now.

I think many of the arguments against the EVs are that the technology is being forced upon us in the name of climate change and heavily subsidized by the federal government. Let the private sector drive the effort, not politicians that are making a killing by ramping up the so called green energy industry. I would much rather the likes of Elon Musk set the pace rather than politicians.

Central Heights and Diboll played them to competitive games in December. Hitchcock is the favorite, but I would say they play in one of the worst 3A districts in the state and they have not been in competitive games in a while. I know from watching Orangefield they are battle tested. Anything can happen on a given night.

If you say that a teenage boy either intoxicated or not, wanted to have sex with a girl, you would probably be correct about 97.5% of the time. That is how we are programmed as a species. Actually forcing sex is a terrible crime and it should be. But “wanting to”, especially as a hormone filled teenager? You would probably have to exclude 99% of males and 95% of females from public office. The insanity of Democratic politics.

From around 2005-2014, this may have been the biggest rivalry in the state in 3A now 4A. I've attended 4 Silsbee vs HJ games. My 1st was when Silsbee lost to HJ in the Regional Finals in 2007. I saw us advance to state over Hardin Jefferson in 2008 and 2010. I also came to a Silsbee home game in 2011 when HJ had Bosha (freshman) and Prudhomme. Silsbee had DC Stallworth and Prentice Lane. Great times! RIP to all the great Silsbee and HJ members this board has had as well. Going back and forth with Stevenash was always fun.

I watched that game Lake Highlands was up by 15-20 in the 3rd not sure what happened when I stopped watching, but they are a legitimate threat to dethrone BU don’t let that score from tonight fool you.

@Knox34 he did against Warren I believe and close on Buna. However, I think getting 40 against Warren is different than Ragusa's 40 against Kountze.
