Yeah, I can see the conservatives voting for an uber liberal gun grabber because of a campaign appearance. That mentality would suggest that conservatives and in particular since it is relevant to this thread, pro Second Amendment gun owners, would vote for Biden over Trump because Trump wanted to ban bump stocks that made non-machine guns fire like machine guns. There is no limit to the delusion of the left.

If that is truly an ad from our military, you need no other reason to understand why the 2nd amendment is so important!!!

There are always exceptions. I usually refer to the norm.

I’m torn on this one… I think Vidor has historically underperformed by everybody else’s standards. But Vidor is actually happy with their record… they just want another character guy who also coaches. But I think the world of Coach Dubois. He is an outstanding man and I can’t say enough about what all he did for my boys. If Vidor had qbs who could throw it around a little, Dubois would do so, I’m pretty sure. He never minded mixing passes in at BC. A more diverse slot t would probably work pretty well in Vidor’s current district if there was decent production through the air… I like the hire, but probably because I like the guy personally. Does anybody from Vidor have an accurate comparison between Dubois and Mathews, or is it pretty much a carbon copy?

My stance on this matter is simple and applies to any school. Open the job and hire the very best available applicant. That simple.

C’mon Reagan, why you always ragging on the Pirates? Why not the BC Cards? The Kountze Lions? Beaumont United? Even your beloved Bulldogs? Plenty of room for improvement in this area, by the Pirates and all the others mentioned above.

I think everyone would agree Joubert is a good coach. Yet from 2014 through 2017, Whitmire had a winning record against Kountze and that was during the Arnold, Harper, Stanford era when Kountze basketball was at a really good place (not the apex of Lion basketball but certainly toward the top). So I would, in fact, argue Whitmire did more with less. And that is no slight on Wilson. He was also a really good hire. But to try and downplay what Whitmire did at Buna shows either sour grapes or an extreme lack of knowledge of the game of basketball (or both).

Just for the matter of accuracy, it wasn't Vidor who pushed Jasper to OT in that tourney game. Vidor had a 25 point lead at one time in that game and led the entire game right up to the final 45 seconds. Jasper is the one that sent the game to overtime. Vidor really had no business losing that game. I will say they have probably digressed the most of all the teams in the district from the first of the season.

In the history of Vidor, they have only won 2 out-right District Championships. One was with Edgar Payne and the other one was with Phillip Brown. So, according to some who say it's not the coach, the "blame the kids" cabal would want you to actually think that championship-type kids only showed up during these two coach's DC's and then left after that. I know, I know, it boggles the mind!
