Being a Pirate fan I haven’t kept up, but looking at that schedule I get the impression the Indian team taking the field Friday is a much improved team over the one in September. Cuervo is battle tested. Two overtime wins 4 post season games. That’s bound to stand them well in the next game and maybe the next. Wimberly is an offensive machine of late. But I don’t think they have the power to handle the Gobblers.

Was told, Tigers had a good week of practice, lots of full pads and contact, even up to yesterday. SETX tough. Never know what highschool kids are gonna do, and Birds could win, but if Tigers clicking, should take this one.

What I’ve noticed about the good programs. They have good coaching, good offseason program, depth on the bench, kids buy into the program, and you also need a little luck with the injury bug. For PAM l believe it’s mostly coaching, depth, and discipline (turnovers/penalties)…..

Pretty odd coincidence with PNG and state championships. Been to state like in the early 50s. , 74-77, and 99. Pretty odd it's always a 20-25 year gap. Being this year 2022. 23 years since last state championship appearance. Can they keep the pattern going?
