This is one thing I stick with PNG about… don’t change your name!! People are soft… and smashmouth I’m not gonna entertain that cause I’m not sure if u joking or serious lol

I look forward to games like this because of the type of town we are playing. A good sized blue collar town that isn't DFW/Houston/Austin mega school (or soon to be mega school). Lots of similarities in the schools and the people who live there. I thought the same thing when we played BWB in the title game several years ago. Glad to see like towns/schools have this success. I get some of our fans and the degree of confidence. There are a lot of non Longview fans in that thread who are predicting some of the craziness and being down right disrespectful. Most of us know what PAM is going to put on the field on Friday. We also know there is a problem defensively in discipline with PAM. You guys have given up a lot of points and honestly shouldn't have. So yeah that's gives us confidence because we know our defense will get some stops. Other than the rain, turnovers, penalties, this game comes down to two things that are pretty simple in my eyes. Does Longview coach get conservative and play into PAMs defense. You guys have trouble stopping the run but have gotten pretty stout on the interior. When LV gets conservative we will continually run it right at you. This could lead to several three and outs and hurt us getting into a rhythm. The other is the PAM QB. We had trouble with Lancaster's QB. He was quick and could throw on the run...but he was one of the fastest players we have seen all year. If PAM QB is more like Crosby's QB than Lancaster, then we will be good. As far as athleticism goes if PAM doesn't have the edge, then these teams are even. One poster said that he saw film and LV looked slow. In 35 years of watching LV football, that is the first time I have ever heard that. It will be a very athletic and physical game on Friday. I hope whatever refs show up, they let these boys play. I got LV in this game because of the way both teams have played through most of the year. But I have no doubt that PAM can win this game if LV doesn't play the way we know they can. Safe travels on Friday.

I agree with you sir…with the THIS ISN’T THE TIME TO PANIC. Couldn’t agree more with that statement. Been reading comments since Friday. Finally I see what is going to propel Memorial…the confidence in the team. They must believe in themselves ..coaches alike. These boys ain’t world beaters man. I’ve watched tape on them. To be honest…they look a bit slower than PAM. Of course that does’t mean much at this point…but just a statement. IMO…PAM has to play discipline football..stick to your job. Focus on the running game..and like someone stated.. Make the QB beat you. But that’s where that discipline comes in. They will try the play action and catch you focused on the run and hurt you. Play smart. Adjust during the game. PLAY DISCIPLINE. If something’s not working…move around. If something is working…don’t hit the gas on it. Keep switching it around, BUT you know where your bread and butter is at to finish off the game. I have ZERO doubt Memorial can pull this off. Coaches / Players… Do your job, don’t overthink, play discipline, play your hearts out and let everything fall where it may. Lose or win…you gave it your all. You walking off that field on E..nothing matters. You know…this is what it was gonna be no matter what. Good luck Titans. Would love to see y’all win and let these boyz know… PA ain’t just anybody… That’s real.

Five years or so ago, before I retired, I was given a dps regular truck an told to go work in Bryan Texas for a week. That office was no where near as busy as my office in Houston, so I was working but also conversing. I talked to some strong Tx A&M alumni. I mentioned coach Kevin Sumlin just to seee the reaction. Sumlin was in limbo then. You could sense it was a matter of time before he would be gone. I felt that he, Charley Strong and the UT basketball coach got their jobs on the coattails of prez Obama. I don't have a picture posted but those that know me know I am African American. I am not trying to go political with this, just giving background. The TX A&M alumni were all adamant they wanted Sumlin out and replaced by someone better. Sumlin went on to bomb at Arizona, but that's a whole nother Oprah Winfrey show. Needless to say neither I nor the alums I talked to foresaw the fiasco in A&M football that happening right now.

I think we’re far enough into the season with enough results to say that HJ is still clearly better than BH. HJ is 7-2 with an OT loss to #11 9-0 6A Cinco Ranch, and a 6 point loss to #3 10-1 6A Summer Creek, a state semifinalist last year. BH is 9-5 with losses to #24 Judson (who HJ beat), West Brook, Cy Ranch, #19 Houston Memorial, and San Antonio Johnson. All 6A schools, but West Brook is 9-5, Memorial 7-6, and Johnson 5-4. Memorial beat them by 30.

If that was the case then you're pretty much saying KWP has just as good of an offense as LV since they scored the same amount of points. PAM held yall to less points than LV as well so that means our defense has to be better right? See how silly it sounds. I mean quite a few these athletes end up playing on Saturdays and Sundays. So I'd like to think they're pretty good football players as well. Sky is the limit if they had a truly legit coaching staff. If we had LVs coach King we'd have several championships no doubt.

I've heard nothing, and it sounds like the same kind of stories we were hearing after 2020 that turned out to be completely baseless. There would be stories that sounded like outright cheating, then a deeper look into the allegations would reveal that it was complete fiction.... The Gilmer comment was un-called for. I dont know what the context of the drive/situation was. Did the other team call timeout with little time left on the clock? Was it a pick prior setting them up with this field position? Even without knowing these facts, throwing the ball in that situation is a bit of dick move regardless of what personnel is in. If they can't stop the run with second and third string guys in, so be it, but run the clock... you're up by four possessions.

I am so happy for PNG to play at NRG this year since 2019! I wish I would love to go but only one game. If two games, then I would go. I bet that Houston area see this and would consider back to NRG. Hopefully!!! Wish you the best luck and let's win PNG!!!
