I have eaten so much crow that the farmers have no worry for third crops. I had no idea that China Spring was that good, I even watched several of their games where they beat teams by 40 or more and I saw nothing that said they could move the ball on my Dawg D. CS out played us on both sides of the ball. CS o line were big and strong, linebacker 11 and D linemen 55, along with 5,4,2,8 and 15 played a great ball game. WOS or China Spring will be playing Gilmer or Celina for the state championship. WOS versus China Spring is a toss up. Both have a team to win it all. God Bless and good luck next week.

I picked CS in my pickems. I don’t have a problem with anyone who believes something, but I’ll always point out when someone was wrong when they speak in absolutes and certainties. If he’d come on here and said “I think… because…” I wouldn’t have called him out. But he basically said “this will happen, and anyone who thinks differently is dumb.”

LBJ wins. No point even to watch the game lol

Exciting game to watch is an understatement. Biggest lead 4 points was by Westbrook previously 11-0. BU Anderson nailed two free throws with 4.5 seconds to play in regulation to break a 44-44 tie. Westbrook Denly hit a three after the buzzer. Shewolves are getting back in the groove still much work to be done. Great game Westbrook.

This stadium is very very nice. Right off Grand Parkway 99. I broadcast the East Chambers/Little River Academy game there last week. Super impressed with the facilities.

Thank you for those very kind words. I really appreciate it. I will never ever fill Todd's shoes but I am doing the best I can. I really really miss my dear friend in so many ways and it partly is about this site. He was a true genuine friend. Site is just not the same without him.

Just watched CS/Sealy.CS qb runs 50% of the time.When he gets hit a few times by the Stangs he going to be a little timid about that.He throws pretty good but had a lot of time and his receivers were wide open.Sealys tackling was very poor.Didn't see anything that we can't handle.We play like we have been I like our chances.

Some talk on other site Chapel Hill to roll over LCM. Like El Campo before them - like Kilgore was thinking about Chapel Hill, that kind of thinking will get you beat. They see Vidor beat LCM, and they beat Vidor, forgetting the fact that Vidor was 100% healthy when the Pirates beat LCM, and played CH with a crippled backfield and HC missing. Plus the Bears appear to be peaking. Methinks CH is in for a surprise.

Crosby has scored over 50 in 9 of the last 10 games. Texas High hasn’t scored 50 all year. I agree that Texas will have to keep the Cougars short of that mark to get the win. I think this game may still go to the wire. Maybe it’s a 44-41 game. Take Crosby since all the playoff luck has followed them over the last 11 months.

I think it will be incumbent on the Tiger defense to make stops and disrupt your offense. Think the race is to 35. We have successfully handled your district mates that were averaging in excess of 35 ppg on offense. Crosby is a different animal and after last year they should be prepared. If you score 52, you have earned the win.

Actually we have three common opponents, which is unusual. Crosby 57 Texas City 28 Texas High 31 Texas City 0 I am interested in the Crosby district mates that have played the Tigers, honest assessment. I think your opening comments are fair. The key for Texas High will rest with the 11 that brought them to this point - the defense. They don’t need to over commit as they did last year. I think one of the interesting battles will be the Cougar passing game versus the Tiger’s secondary. I am impressed that Myles only has 3 interceptions. He will be facing an opportunistic group that has 20-25 INTs this season. Looking forward to the rematch.

That does not make them on the wrong side of the law however. I am making no prediction how this will come out except I think there are politics involved but… Once a person makes an illegal threat and the object of the threat is not violating a law, it is that other person who has the right to self-defense and to stand his ground.

I remember earlier in the year AAW had the audacity to get on here and apologize for not getting some game threads up in time, smh. I watched both games. I think Crosby had the better defense against PNG. Hard to measure since both dominated, but against Crosby my sense was nothing we could do would work, while against TH the sense was if we would execute we’d be staying in the game.

Well, weasel, let's revisit my prediction: "Going with Texas High by at least 2 touchdowns!" And let's revisit your response: "Not happening" All I can say is -- dang, I'm good! And BTW -- stop blaming the officials!

Congrats Crosby! Texas High is going to be a lot tougher than last year, should be a great game. As for Consolidated that freshman QB and Soph RB’s will have them sitting pretty the next several seasons.

It wasn’t targeting. But it was just as bad. It was a flagrant, unnecessary, late blindside hit. The player did “favor an arm” because that arm, from what we saw, is broken - they had to cut his shoulder pads off on the PNG sideline. He was on the ground for about five minutes. For no reason other than apparent malice, and completely uncalled for in a game where everything is going in favor of Texas High. I wouldn’t characterize the hit as anything other than an inexcusable cheap shot, and the kid who did it should have been ejected. It wasn’t just “oh football is rough,” and it wasn’t merely incidental contact. He should have been kicked out of the game, if he wasn’t (I don’t think the refs ejected him) and he shouldn’t be allowed to play in the next game. Other than that play, hats off to Texas High. Clearly the better team, and will be a handful for Crosby. I’ve never seen such a good defensive line. Congrats on the win.

Well, WOS will have to play perfect. We have to eliminate the PF penalties, the bad snaps and we seem to lose every jump ball thrown this year. Like powerlifter mentioned in another post. We got some cleaning up to do, still. The up side is we can still improve and we have continuously improved. It's never been for a lack of talent and it's finally coming together and it'll have to continue or we will get boat raced by CS. I was truly astonished at the way we dominated the game last night after the 1st quarter. If we can put 4 qtrs together of mistake free we can advance.

The point of all the points your desperately trying to make is irrelevant. Crosby took care of business and the hill came up short. Barbers hill had many different opportunities to put the game away and it didn't happen. Crosby made a few adjustments at the half and were able to get some much needed stops as well as win the turnover battle. Could Crosby have lost? Yes but here we are headed to lufkin to play Texas High In December. Had the hill taken care of business I honestly believe yall would have had the higher hand and be playing ball next week, but ya didn't. BTW it's week 4 baby! Agree 100% with these assessments. Defense didn't play down they were up against a real deal offensive line. But I think the stars are lining up perfectly again for Crosby. That match up will be a great learning tool for that secondary. They've been spoiled all year by the front 7 applying pressure. They need to be able to hold their own when that pressure doesn't get there. And fight off those blocks and make some tackles when needed. I think TH will come out with some resistance and make it a game but I also think they will make some mistakes that the sharper Crosby team will capitalize on.

Celina will have something to say about that. I believe they could give us fits. We both got to win this week first though.
