#7 Montgomery lost to some local team with a small following of rowdy fans that planted for sale signs in the coaches yard a couple years back!

I’ve been watching videos of Dist 9, now looking at scores from El Campo. Based on what I’ve seen, Dist 10 is unique about still playing defense. CH still plays some, but Lindale has no D. Take El Campo - Brazosport put up 47 on them. I think LCM & Vidor were pretty close. Brazosport only scored 29 against the Pirates. Then there’s W.Columbia. They put up 42 on EC, while only managing 21 against the Bears. That’s interesting, but what they lack on D they double up on Offense. Point is, EC RB’s are not used to getting hit in the mouth. Bears need to make a statement early on D. EC going to put up good numbers, but I’m hoping the Bears can slow’em down just enough to beat them because the Bears will score plenty. The O/U number gonna be big. I’ll still take the over. Just want the Bears to beat these Yahoos.

LCM has to shut down the run. If one of those running backs get open its gonna be touch down. Those kids have a lot speed. Two D1 running backs in the backfield is scary. I think our offense will keep us in the game but our defense will have to show up

The matchup with Texas high isn’t that bad honestly. they don’t score a bunch, y’all might be able to run it up early and hold on if you keep throwing dimes like y’all did tonight. Faircloth can coach the hell out of QBs.

After last week stall ball encounter with Cy Ranch todays contest with Houston Madison will probably be a marathon. Madison dropped its season opener to run and gun Houston Yates in a shootout (104-101)Tuesday Nov.16.. It'll be interesting which United team shows up. Kendris Henry is surely missed his senior leadership was the glue that kept this team grounded. Time for someone to step up and assume that role. There's no "I" in TEAM.... Good luck at noon today at Madison.....

United lead 41-32 halftime , It looks like they got 2 refs out the neighborhood to call this game and that’s keeping Madison because every time they make a call they go to Madison coach to make the call. United missing plenty of lay ups but Madison is also fouling a lot but hardly called, If United don’t push the lead up they will hard a hard time if it’s close.

Barbers Hill. You were very much in doubt of making the playoffs. The team gel and then did the unthinkable and knocked of the number 2 team in the state. You then turned around and was a couple of plays from beating another top ranked region 3 team. What an incredible season and one that makes the entire district 12-5a proud. Love what you guys accomplished this season. We look forward to your support for the last two teams standing. I really believe that all season we were talking bad about our district because we are all beating up on each other and the reason for that is that we may have been better than we thought with a reeal state champion contender in Crosby. You guys did your part to make sure our district was put on the map. PNG has a tall task next week and we make no bones about it, We had the same tall order this past week. That is why we play the games. 12 5a has become one of the better district in the state this season. Barbers Hill you made us PROUD I take my hat of to you.

From what I hear EC is one dimensional, much like Vidor, run, run, run. No brainer. You either stop their run or you out score them. I’m green & gold so make it happen.

WOS will throw the ball. Sometimes he does OK and sometimes he don't. We should have made some plays last night in the passing game that weren't the QB fault.

No matter where you coach there are critics especially from teams with history, either winning or losing, and their voices are heard on Friday nights, barbershops but now in this other dimension called social media which is powerful (check on the last few elections). Tough staying anywhere more than a few years unless you’re Saban and even he’s getting heat since he hired that former Texans coach to call plays. What did Bum say about two types of coaches 😟. Bring it on defense, El Campo has some horses but if 9 and 7 are on their game who knows. Could be a shootout type of game, EC seems to play a lot of those. I’m confident LCM will be able to score on them, we’ll see who can get a few key stops.

IMO Bellville has a better offense than Jaspers did. Question, how will the Brahman QB make plays with the pressure from Mustang defense? Shot gun formation is not going to work all the time as Jaspers QB found out last night. Maybe a short screen play might work. Mustangs will have to protect the corners and, contain the backs as much as possible. I’m never going to bet against my team no matter who they are playing. Believe.

ps, #44 Carmello Jones is a MONSTER who I will most likely dream about tonight.(maybe even a night or two after that). Where is he going to play college ball?

I really go by quality wins, athletic ability and that ice water factor. Correct me if I’m wrong, but other than quality stats, no wins over Nederland. No deep playoff run, and no Willie Ray Smith award. This is actually a dumb debate, because he was a good QB. But All the QBs i mentioned had wins over Nederland. 2 won the Willie Ray. All of them went to a D1 school, 1 went to a SC game, some had multiple playoff wins. So it’s just my opinion. I do believe Adam had quality stats, and if I’m correct had a payoff win against Dayton when they went for 2. So I guess If stats and a quality win is what one likes, so be it. I think the other 3 had a total of 7 wins against Nederland. One was an All American. One went to a SC and a D1 school. And the other 2 went to D1 schools as well. Once again nothing against any of them. Just my opinion. Don’t quote me on the stats and wins and all because it’s off the top of my head.

HF played hard and had a great season. Their QB was a load to bring down. He even ran into Kip Lewis on one play and drove him backwards, That does not happen. Kip is one of the top linebackers in the state. The Dawg D held HF to 5 yards rushing and 120 yards passing. For those of you on here thinking HF coaches should of done anything different. This Dawg D is one of the best in 4A history. HF played their tails off and I congratulate them on a very good season.
