Tuesday night was $1 for the whole car at Showtown Drive-In. Mama would pop a trash bag full of popcorn and bring us to the movies. It’s what we could afford. Bologna sandwiches and popcorn and a movie for 5 people for less than 2 bucks. I can still smell the green coil mosquito “piqs” burning on the dash. Mama smoked in the car on the way, none of us wore seat belts and the red dye in our kool-aid that she packed in washed out milk jugs was later banned as a carcinogen. Some of the best times in my life.

Going into this game, Vidor is night and day compared to last season. We aren't banged up, we have our identity with the offense, and the defense is looking stingy as ever. Lock the gates and give 'em 48 minutes of hell, Pirates!

You nailed it. I was able to watch last year since VHS live-streamed home games (why they’re not this year is a mystery). I think he was a Jr & is back this year (#22). Nothing fancy, just good blocking & hard-nosed running. Plus we were using that &#@¥€£ pistol so our offense wasn’t able to move the ball. I hope revenge is enough to get the Pirates fired up this year. With LCM’s improvement, we can’t afford to lose to Splendora.

I remember him every time we jumped offsides last year (which was a lot 99 was out that game and the backup played bad) they would just throw a jump ball over the top of our little corners. That’s about all they had though, him and the coaches son at running back who carried the ball 57 times (idk if that’s an accurate stat but seems about right). Still enough to beat a banged up Pirate squad, this year they aren’t banged up. Revenge game, no excuses.

Coaches weren’t getting on asses for the hot dogging and dangerous late hits. The blind side hit on #2 and #24 resulting in unsportsmanlike were inexcusable. blindsinding a guy then flexing is weak as hell. Which was why karma bit em in the ass and handed them a district loss. I don’t condone the stomping at all but I can see why. But in your opinion which is worse?

So all the Crosby players were running around the field handing out roses and goodwill 😂 players are one thing coaches are quite another. Your coaches are a representative of your school and should lead by example.

The somehow nostalgic satisfying smell of a Pic. Then you have to try to separate the coils without breaking one of them. An officer that I used to work with who was from Vidor always said that when his dad brought home a paycheck on Friday, they would have pork chops or T-bone steak (about 1/4” thick) and then bologna and beans and rice for the rest of the week. My response was, yep, that sounds familiar.

Watch the video again. On one of our td our qb ran into the endzone and 5 yards deep here came a bh player who drove at the knee of miles. Bh never played like that in the past, that was the play that had me pi$$Ed off the most, of the many late hits #19 to be exact

Yep, I saw it when it first came out. My best guess from memory, first 3 Channels were UHF 32 here, Ch 2 in Houston & Ch 11 in Galveston. I was the official family antenna adjuster. When we changed channels I’d go outside & start twisting antenna until my Dad, Mom & sister hollered STOP. Folks today must think how crazy that sounds, lol.

Now here you go. Don't be a hater all your life. Crosby is not loaded this year. Matter of fact we probably have just as many football players as Vidor and most are underclassmen. But rest assured the reining Regional Champs got the W. And will continue to improve.

I gave up cigarettes after 35 years of smoking Marlboro reds. Quit cold turkey and been quit for 20 years now. The addiction is as powerful as heroin. The habit…..first one in the morning with that habitual cup of coffee, lighting up after a meal, going out drinking and smoking one pack per beer ( not that bad but it seemed that way). I think we have habits that we maybe don’t realize until something is missing or not working properly…. Forget your watch and you will realize how often you look at it. You will look down at a bare wrist all day long. How about a clock that is wrong or has stopped. Didn’t know you looked at that clock that much, huh? Seat belts have become a habit. Couldn’t stand them at first….too binding. Now, I cant drive without it. Plus my vehicle reminds me very rudely that I may have forgotten to buckle it. Finally, my wife has taken interest in her nails. She has stopped biting them. It has added an expense but is well worth not seeing her with her fingers around her mouth. There are plenty more, but I’ll let someone else contribute.

Jasper just doesn’t look that good this year, all across the field on both sides of the ball. Aside from the D line, I just don’t see the level of talent they usually have. I would be more upset at the coaches for last season, taking a team that actually had a squad and doing nothing with it. I was surprised they were an easy out in the first round of the playoffs, this year I’d be surprised if they made the playoffs. Now the constant penalties and mistakes would worry me, did you have a lot of that last year also?

Let’s be honest now. BH has struggled since moving up classifications, but historically has had success. Do you know Crosby history? They absolutely sucked for a long time. Also, we go through this every year with SOME Crosby fans, but excluding last year, y’all were 2 and done most years. crosby has made it past second round of the playoffs 2009, 2014, and last year. Before that, you have to go back to 1960. Lol, get out of here.

If I were officiating this game I would have called it good. After seeing this video it’s a no brainer good call. Good game BH congratulations Crosby.

It was a very heat rivalry in the early years. But then it turned to one of respect. I too miss those three way battles between La Porte and you guys for the district title. Now it only Atascocita for us and Stump has always had trouble with us.

No disrespect he is a great guy.but not a good as a oc.those 4yrs. We were good on defense.and a great dline.2 of the yrs. They had one of the most dominant teams ever at w.o 15&16.and I agree Zig isn't the qb we expect but he plays with alot of heart.play calling is so transparent.no imagination.in these days u have to be able to put up points.without CT as coach with this staff we probably be a 500 ball club.

No excuses for this loss. Every high school game has referees making horrible calls. Learn to play better.
