I see the point of your thread and it is a point well taken. The only reason for my questioning guilt or innocence was Mr. West producing receipts for evening. I would like more proof than a field sobriety test. I failed one in Vegas years ago. I explained to the officer that I had worked a double shift and was exhausted. It was the truth and he believed me and sent me on my way.

Very sad news. Always looked forward to his steady, fair and honest opinions on multiple topics on this board. Never met him, but he was the type that you didn't have to formally meet, to know his character was top tier....RIP and prayers for his family

Before this goes South, I'll throw in my 2 cents...I'm definitely for playing guys both ways. If you have talented kids that need to be on the field, play 'em. Off-season and 2 a days is where you condition them to be able to do it.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that Todd passed away this afternoon at 4:20pm at the Memorial Herman Hospital Houston after a battle with Covid-19. As most of you know, Todd joined the SETx sports family in 2005 as WOSgrad. Todd's work behind the scenes putting together scores, rankings, schedules and most of the online administrator tasks for the site are one of the reasons the site is successful today. Together we have spent many hours working, prepping, laughing, and sometimes cussing and discussing. Todd was a kind, soft spoken man with a passion for all things high school sports. My heart is broken at this news and very difficult for me to talk. I had a feeling that the worst would happen and it did. Words cannot express my sadness at losing my dear friend. The coming days are going to be long and hard, and it just won't be the same without him. My wife has been in contact with his sister's family and will keep us posted on pending funeral arrangements. He leaves behind his wife Rebecca and his beloved Bassett Hound, Sadie. Todd was a heart transplant recipient and has battled to stay healthy since receiving his heart. The Broussard family will need our support and prayers in the coming days. Please continue to stay safe during this pandemic, and if you can't do it for yourself, then do it in honor of Todd. Feel free to post a kind word, thought, story, or memorial so that we can share with Rebecca and family.

Manvel scored 56 offensive points on only 39 plays last year in the bi-district game. They were up 49-0 after three quarters so I assume a lot of those plays in the 4th quarter were clock killing runs. I'm not saying Westbrook is as good as Manvel but unless BU has gotten drastically better I expect something like 52-17.

I'd like to see some bloodwork or a breathalyzer. If she's innocent, she wouldn't be the first person who failed a sobriety test for reasons other than inebriation, like the example you gave. But there are also plenty of closet drinkers out there who hide their alcoholism and drinking from those closest to them. Perhaps this could be the case with her as well.

I don't think it's really an assumption of guilt as much as a lack of interest. Where had this been Al Sharpton's wife, and had Sharpton been screaming the same nonsense that West was, there would be a movement of support for her and claims of racism by the media and other activists. West Brook has never been that big of a 5A (6A now) school. Ozen was using that magnet program to stay 4A (5A now) when they first opened. And if we're really analyzing that whole situation, BISD should have never opened Ozen. There was really no need except to appease a certain group of people. Bruins should beat the Timberwolves pretty convincingly. And both teams should make the playoffs unless something unexpected happens. Good luck both teams on Friday and through out the season.

Rejoice knowing that Todd Is in the presence of our maker. He no longer struggles to have good days, as now, all are great! We will miss and remember him here on earth. I don’t believe in playing give me games. Playing 0-10 teams does not make a good football team. We will get beat in the first round if it’s east Texas. WOS is a good team that we need to play, and I could careless about the rivalry that’s always been Bridge City to us LCM players and fans. You don’t runaway from challenges you face them.

You were told incorrectly. Offensive and defensive lines are our strength and have looked good. LB is where we need some improvement the most.

This is hard to take in. He was a great guy. He was a big part of the success of SETX sports. Won’t be the same without him.

When I started as just a member on SETXSPORTS.COM my boys were both playing football and basketball for Evadale. I was the PA announcer as well, so I signed on as Rebel Yeller. I moved to the press box at Kirbyville after my wife started teaching there. After one season I responded to an invite to do the Wildcats play by play from SETXSPORTS.COM. it was then that I began to message and talk to Todd. He has assisted me and everyone else on the website and the broadcasts. Todd and I did an entire day on air from the Evadale basketball tournament in 2019 as he was beginning to consider doing games himself. We did a Jasper game last season as well. Todd did so much and he will be missed not just because of what he did for the website , but as a great guy and a true friend. We all lost a special guy today and the impact of his loss will be felt for a long time. To Todd's wife and family our thoughts and prayers are with you. And to Todd, I hope that they have high school sports in heaven, because we know how much the athletes and the schools of South East, Texas.
