I see the point of your thread and it is a point well taken. The only reason for my questioning guilt or innocence was Mr. West producing receipts for evening. I would like more proof than a field sobriety test. I failed one in Vegas years ago. I explained to the officer that I had worked a double shift and was exhausted. It was the truth and he believed me and sent me on my way.

Very sad news. Always looked forward to his steady, fair and honest opinions on multiple topics on this board. Never met him, but he was the type that you didn't have to formally meet, to know his character was top tier....RIP and prayers for his family

Before this goes South, I'll throw in my 2 cents...I'm definitely for playing guys both ways. If you have talented kids that need to be on the field, play 'em. Off-season and 2 a days is where you condition them to be able to do it.

It’s my understanding that Lumberton’s new baseball coach, wait sorry, new head football coach is not playing a single starter both ways. If you have the personnel to do that - go for it. But if you’re a team that struggles to win, like Lumberton last year, then don’t you agree that you should start your best 11 on all 3 components of the game and sub in when they need rest? I’m not just speaking for Lumberton, they’re my unfortunate example.

I'm sure he had some advice......but I have no issue with mask when it makes some sense to wear it.......Lumberton ISD and I think most schools had a policy I felt made no sense..... Example: When Covid first was exposed and they had the remaining football games at lumberton. There policy was you must enter the stadium wearing a mask. You must wear that mask until you get to your seat. Once at your seat, you could remove mask. So I watched the student section completely fill up, and students huddle around each other with no mask and yull and spit on each other........but when going to the restroom alone, they had to wear a mask because they were out of their seat.....I'm no doctor, but that makes zero sense.......

Personally I think it's insane that one guy with no medical background can make an order that goes against the statements and advice of the overwhelming majority of doctors, hospitals, medical experts, epidemiologists, etc.

I'd like to see some bloodwork or a breathalyzer. If she's innocent, she wouldn't be the first person who failed a sobriety test for reasons other than inebriation, like the example you gave. But there are also plenty of closet drinkers out there who hide their alcoholism and drinking from those closest to them. Perhaps this could be the case with her as well.

I don't think it's really an assumption of guilt as much as a lack of interest. Where had this been Al Sharpton's wife, and had Sharpton been screaming the same nonsense that West was, there would be a movement of support for her and claims of racism by the media and other activists. But I do agree with you for the most part.

West Brook has never been that big of a 5A (6A now) school. Ozen was using that magnet program to stay 4A (5A now) when they first opened. And if we're really analyzing that whole situation, BISD should have never opened Ozen. There was really no need except to appease a certain group of people. Bruins should beat the Timberwolves pretty convincingly. And both teams should make the playoffs unless something unexpected happens. Good luck both teams on Friday and through out the season.

This will be the 51st time these two teams have played each other. Silsbee leads the overall series 29-18-3. Vidor won the last game way back in 2003 28-27 while Silsbee's last win was in 2001 22-21.

Where is this located? I’ve been vaccinated and also had 5 or 6 close exposures over the course of the pandemic, but so far no infection, at least with symptoms. I’d love to find out I have some natural antibodies.

Serious question, no alternative or innuendo, are you vaccinated or already had the infection? I have had it, pretty sure twice and I am reading conflicting articles. Very interesting study; thanks for posting and keep us updated.

I don’t believe in playing give me games. Playing 0-10 teams does not make a good football team. We will get beat in the first round if it’s east Texas. WOS is a good team that we need to play, and I could careless about the rivalry that’s always been Bridge City to us LCM players and fans. You don’t runaway from challenges you face them.

You were told incorrectly. Offensive and defensive lines are our strength and have looked good. LB is where we need some improvement the most.

This is hard to take in. He was a great guy. He was a big part of the success of SETX sports. Won’t be the same without him.
