I have seen FBM and there defense is not that impressive. If Port Neches would have made some plays in the 4th quarter they would have beat FBM. I think Nederland will win if they play solid defense. I am going to the game to support our Mid County team... Go Nederland!!!!

Montgomery was missing their 1,000 yard receiver against FB Marshall due to injury. Same guy that had 382 yards against Crosby. Would have liked to have seen the Bears with all their weapons for that game.

It’s hard to keep Ohio State out because they had some quality wins and didn’t lose. Plus they are in a different conference which also helps. It would have been awesome to see A&M in but let’s bet honest, it doesn’t matter who made it because whoever it was is going to get thumped by Bama anyways. But I can see the case on both sides. I personally think it should be a 6-8 team playoff. That’d fix a lot of things. With 4 you will have this argument every year.

Had it not been for our defense making key plays and offense putting points on the board it could have been a different story. I see where Yates is winning over Houston 4A teams by single digits. They beat Kashmere by 2. They won over Furr and Wheatly by single digits. That says to me another team besides Yates or Silsbee could win region III 4A basketball. Key word is 'could'. Worry about that later. I would be highly surprised if they don't beat LCM by double digits on this coming Wednesday the 22nd.

I’m going to go ahead and say it, Carthage will give Aledo all they want. I have seen Aledo many times over the years. They usually play the same day we do or the day after us. I watch all the games at Jerry World. Carthage would be a top 5 team in 5a DII. Name 5 teams better. Don’t think you can do it. But that’s as far as Carthage goes. 5a DI is a different story. Start getting up there with Denton Ryan, HP, Longview, Manvel, etc. But I don’t want to hear about Aledo blowing out Carthage. Plenty of years Carthage can play with and beat them. This is one if those years. 2017 was one of those years. 5a DII is not a great division no matter what people want to think.

They had zero points and minus -5 yards in the second quarter. 63 total yards and no points in the second half.
