I don’t know about that but I stand by my earlier prediction that LCM has a better chance of missing the playoffs than winning the district. I do think Lumberton can challenge Silsbee based on McClure and coaching. Silsbee is still the favorite.

McClure is on a different level. The Co-Offensive MVPs last year was like giving Larry Bird and Jerry Sichting Co-MVPs...

They didn't vote for Biden, they voted against Trump. Trump literally ran against himself and lost. I've been hearing for over a year about the silent majority that was gonna rise up. They did, and they overwhelmingly rejected Trump. I said before this all started that I expected to see stolen votes.... people who showed up to vote, except their vote had already been cast mail-in. That didn't happen. All we have is unsubstantiated report after unsubstantiated report.... with nary a single cell phone photo to verify any of it. Not a one. I wonder when (or if) diehard Trump supporters will realize that he single-handedly did what Democrats have been unable to do in something like a century and a half.... He destroyed the Republican Party. Even today he's doing everything in his power to make sure that Republicans don't win the two seats in Georgia. If Trump had conceded last month and just shut up, I feel like you'd have Georgia Democrats lulled to sleep, and Republicans anxious to get to the polls. Instead you have Trump insulting everybody in the state of Georgia for "costing" the election. Pushing all of these hare-brained theories that have zero credible evidence to support them. How many more times will we hear about the 136k votes that came in after midnight in MIchigan? Despite the fact that this particular anomaly was explained immediately? I guess people think if they repeat it often enough and loudly enough, it'll somehow become true. At this point the game is over, our team lost by 14, and six weeks after the championship game you guys are still wanting to look at kids' report cards to get the result overturned. That's literally where we are in America right now. And Trump is still a clown.

You a Houston guy so you probably don’t know. But apparently around here, it’s common knowledge that the team that wins the dunk count wins the game. I’m just the messenger. 🤷🏾‍♂️

He can be limited in scoring. If you have an elite on-ball defender, he will struggle to score the ball just with his size limitations and athleticism (or lack thereof). We played him once this summer and he was held scoreless. But he’s one of those kids that does all the little things that he will hurt you even when he’s not scoring.

As long as Angleton doesn’t get corona’d out of another season again next year their district is going to be even stronger. Without the COVID situation that kept hitting their program they probably finish a very close third behind Foster. Manvel won’t be as good because they lose their qb but both of those rbs are juniors. They probably won’t move up either, they can add 200+ kids and still not hit the cutoff. Crosby has been growing between 60-100 kids per alignment, 100 more would put us right on the cutoff number which I think will go up so we probably have at least two more years in D2. Paetow will almost for sure be 6A. I read somewhere they’re going to already be over capacity by 2023. Katy ISD gave the kids from the neighborhood their own school and may have created a west side version of Westfield, just with a little better academics. Hightower is hit or miss and may not even make the playoffs but they have those Mo City kids and you see they don’t have an issue lining up with anybody from 9-5A. I think they’ll be more on the miss side though.

I know it’s only one game but some people may need to re-arrange those district predictions.

Regardless of what you think of the man, it is still an easy choice whether the candidate be Hillary or Biden. If your hatred for a man blinds you to that fact then so be it. We are in for a very rough four years. The last four years - not too bad. My 457 went up substantially, the country did very well and things were looking up until C-19. That hoax was pushed by the MSM and several factions decided to take up arms and manipulate common decency and boom Biden sneaks in. Yes Trump is arrogant. Yes Trump Tweets dumb stuff. Yes Trump isn’t a politician, but electing politicians has done nothing. I am not sure I’ll ever vote again for a national election - what is the purpose?

No, Devon McCain. He was 5'8". when his Fr season started. By the playoffs he was 6'1". He transferred from Austin Peay to Clarendon College in the Texas Panhandle.

Huffman jumped out early in the 1st by double digits. HJ started out cold and got in early foul trouble. They started to get back in it late in the first quarter. The Hawks were doing a pretty good job defensively on Harvey but he is a good little ball player and started to hit some shots in the 2nd. Huffman once again pulled ahead by 10 about the midway point in the 2nd quarter. The game changed somewhere around the 4:00 minute mark of the 2nd quarter on what should have been a huge spark for HJ. They had cut the lead to I think 7 and should have had the momentum but got a technical foul after a MADE BASKET. Huffman hit the FT’s off the technical and I believe a quick 3 with the next possession. You can’t continue to give good basketball teams double digit leads. I can’t give any game analysis after that. I came home. I’ve watched ALOT of basketball in my lifetime and the HJ is probably a 5 point better team on a neutral floor , Harvey is probably the best player on either squad. If the Hawks are going to reach their full potential they are gonna have to clean up the discipline. They simply can’t keep giving up technical fouls in big games in big moments. You can’t win clutch ball games like that. Rant over !! Carry on !!

Correct. It comes down to who gives you the best chance to win and Mitchell thinks 6 or 7 guys give him the best chance to do that. This was the case with Lumberton last year as well because of depth issues. At the end of the day these are teenage boys and if anyone can play 32 out of 32 minutes it’s them. I think the only teams in this district who have reliable depth is BC and maybe Silsbee, lack of depth isn’t uncommon in 4A basketball.

This is an EXTREMELY dangerous team with this kind of even scoring. This team will be tons of pressure against any team they play, regardless of classification. I’ll be keeping a close eye on this group!
