  1. Sadly, a lot of school districts choose to let the pervert resign so they don't have to report it and take the time to go to court. If you remember several years ago a Memorial coach was jailed for this and when it came out that there were allegations at other schools, the girl sued those schools. I don't remember the outcome of the lawsuits. My favorite professor at Lamar, Coach John Payton, always told us to never be alone with any of your students. I have lived by his advice now for 33 years.

I guess my point is getting into politics should not make one rich. Trump was already wealthy. Vast majority of other politicians were not until they got into politics.

  11. The Supreme Court just granted certiorari or review to two cases for the next term. These cases deal with the ban on AR-15 and other “assault” rifles. The Supreme Court has finally decided to step in and rule whether a government can prohibit semi automatic rifles under the Second Amendment. By the time they schedule oral arguments to hear the cases and then write an opinion, it will probably be near the end of the term at about this time next year. So the can is no longer going to be kicked down the road. We are about to soon find out if about half a dozen states are violating the Constitution by prohibiting the possession of certain semi automatic weapons. Did I mention that I think this is huge?

  14. I'm sorry sir, you are incorrect on this one. I do this for a living. I'll keep the explanation as short as possible, but as long as your replies as the former employer are fact-based and not purposefully inflammatory, you can relay certain info about a previous employee to a prospective employer. Especially if the prospect in question has signed a release. Chapter 103 of the Texas Labor Code protects from defamation liability an employer who releases information about a current or former employee to a prospective new employer, unless "the information disclosed was known by that employer to be false at the time the disclosure was made or that the disclosure was made with malice or in reckless disregard for the truth or falsity of the information disclosed." Follow my guidelines, and it will serve you well: Release only factual information Supply Only What Is Requested Tell the Truth Avoid Inflammatory Terms Use a Written Release Form

  15. I understand the district‑talent argument, but let’s be real — lack of talent isn’t the other team’s fault. Every coach has to build around what they’ve got. Some schools have hoopers, some don’t. That’s the nature of high school sports. But that’s exactly why a shot clock doesn’t hurt the game. It doesn’t force anyone to play fast. It just forces everyone to play basketball. You can still run deliberate offense. You can still control tempo. You can still grind out possessions. A 35–40 second clock gives you more than enough time to run multiple actions. What it removes is the ability to stall for two minutes without any intent to score. That’s not “strategy.” That’s hiding behind the clock because you don’t have the talent to compete straight up. And diversity doesn’t disappear. College has a shot clock and you still see: • Princeton offenses • Ball‑screen heavy systems • Motion teams • Post‑dominant teams • Pack‑line defenses All completely different identities. The clock doesn’t erase style — it erases stalling. Most teams who want a shot clock already shoot within 45 seconds anyway. They’re not asking for help on offense. They’re asking for a rule that keeps the game competitive and keeps kids developing real basketball skills. High school players deserve: • More possessions • Real end‑of‑game situations • Preparation for the next level A shot clock doesn’t make everyone play the same. It just prevents one team from turning the game into a freeze‑tag contest because they don’t have the talent to compete possession‑to‑possession.

  16. For clarification: schools run a background check from the DPS database. If that comes back "clear", the school check references. Former employers are only technically allowed to provide 1. dates of employment 2. eligible for rehire yes/no 3. they may also provide safety info for DOT sensitive positions. Anything beyond the above listed information can expose the former employer to legal trouble. If they reveal unsubstantiated or unverified rumor type information that prevents a former employee from being hired, they can be subject to lawsuits.

  17. On Thursday the Supreme Court handed down a big decision in the case of Mullin v. Al Otro Lado. It deals with the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1952 (INA) that allows people to seek asylum in the US. More specifically it deals with the definition of the word “in”. This kind of flashes back to the Bill Clinton deposition about Monica Lewinsky when he famously said when asked about sex with her, it depends on what the meaning of the word is, is. That’s right folks. We had a multi page Supreme Court decision on the definition of the word “IN”. Jumping ahead to give y’all time to think about it, it was a 6 to 3 vote on the definition of the word “in”. Guess which three did not agree with the definition? On with the show….. The INA said that a person may seek asylum when he “arrives in the United States”. That’s basically the case. Of course it goes on for pages to give other cases to explain the intent of the law, etc., however, the question is, can you apply for a political asylum in the United States when you were not the”in” United States? The answer was no, but here is the funny part. Justice Alito in authoring the decision to explain what being “in” the US actually means, wrote this: “The running back does not arrive in the end zone (and six points do not go up on the scoreboard) when he is tackled at the 1-yard line by the defense. The guest does not arrive in the house when the homeowner locks the door right before the guest tries to open it. The army does not arrive in the city when the city’s defenders repel the attack outside city limits. And the letter does not arrive in the mailbox when a dog assaults the carrier a step away from the mailbox. A person arrives in a destination only when he enters it, and that conclusion does not change because someone or something blocks entry. A person arrives in the United States, then, only when he enters it.” That’s about as simple and in plain English as you can get. Therr was no need for legalese to explain the situation. The dissent said that being outside of the US is the same as being in the US. 🤣🤣🤣 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 After the drum roll, the question that everyone has been wondering about…… which three justices did not agree that being in the United States meant being in the United States? Clue: One doesn’t know what a woman is.

  21. Except, that's a lie beyond belief. The entire Iran military is gone, with the exception of a few random drones they still have hidden and even those have all but disappeared. The entire Iran leadership is gone, except for one or two that has to stay in hiding and cant travel freely or even use a cell phone. The entire Iran nuke stockpile is essentially gone, reduced to dust by the bunker busters. The entire Iran nuke enrichment labs are gone, reduced to rubble. Iran's ability to control the straight is gone. Iran's ability to rebuild is gone. The potential for Iran to become a nuke power is completely gone. The world is in awe of the US military, and the world now knows the former US Muslim president and the US dementia president is gone.

That is easy to say, but I'm not sure more perception than reality. Trust me, my Dad built me a 65 Mustang from the ground up and gave to me for my 16th birthday in 1982, custom paint job and all.....so I know where you're going, but.... My work Truck is a 2011 Ford F150 Lariat 5.0 Coyote engine......When I parked her at work today, her milage was 309800. She has original engine and transmission. I don't recall 1960's or 1970's vehicles getting that kind of milage out of original engine. The only things that don't work are key fob....cause my ex-wife washed it...SMH - and the rearview camera (cause I don't wanna fix it) I don't drive her any further than I want to toe her home......but she makes he drive from Port Arthur to Vidor 5 days a week, plus around town on the weekends.

  30. This morning the Supreme Court issued another ruling in West Virginia v. B.P.J. WV was being sued by a biological male (B. P. J.) wanting to play on female teams. The question was, does Title IX of federal law on sex based discrimination, keep states from banning biological males from female sports. Title IX wasn’t originally for sports but at least that seems to be where the main impact and attention has been. The law says that in educational benefits from grade schools through college, sexes must have an equal access in educational programs. For example if a high school had 10 boys sports and only 2 girls sports, it was seen as not having equal access. It has obviously improved funding for girls sports in schools and in college and that’s a good thing. Look at some of the popularity of some female sports now. But this case was not about that. West Virginia, Texas, Idaho and other states have passed laws banning biological males from female sports. Also the NCAA recently banned males from female sports. Lawsuits were filed saying that banning males from female sports violated Title IX by discriminating against the males by denying them access to sports. So a West Virginia case made it to the Supreme Court to see if it was a constitutional violation of male rights by banning them from female sports. To me it seemed like a simple answer. Men are not denied access to sports. They are only banned from joining female teams. So a male does not have to be allowed to join a female basketball team. He has equal access to sports and can join the men’s team. It’s so simple, right? Not so fast!! The Supreme Court had to settle this decision. It was not unanimous. The vote was 6-3 that banning males from female sports was not discrimination against males. This is like beating a dead horse…. 🫪 Can anyone guess which three justices voted that it is discrimination if a boy is denied playing on a girl’s team by claiming that he is a girl and he apparently has no access to sports? Is he denied educational (usually sports) access? Here is a hint and this is a spoiler alert. One of the justices who voted that males should be able to play on female teams and it is guaranteed in federal law and the Constitution by way of Title IX, is not sure what a male or female is anyway.

I’m gonna keep posting these clips because they make me realize how we, as Americans, take things for granted. We don’t appreciate how good we have it. Even with inflation and high gas prices, Europeans are so impressed with A/C everywhere, variety in our grocery stores, the size of our retail outlets, portions served in restaurants, and our hospitality. To put it in a nutshell….Americans are spoiled.

Here's a pretty reliable think-tank assessment. It helps explain some of the confusion surrounding Iran's remaining capabilities. As I stated--regardless of propaganda--there's still a lot of unknowns. It doesn't discuss the nuclear issue in this piece. But, there's no verified intelligence assessment on the exact damage to Iran's nuclear program. There are summations. Those summations are based on incomplete intel. The only way to get a true accounting is to topple the regime by whatever means is required where direct intelligence can be gathered. That's part of the danger of any 'deal.' There's no true baseline without the regime's full cooperation--which won't be coming. I know "regime change" is a dirty phrase to many--if not most. But--in this case--it will probably be the only way. The Administration needs to make the case for it. Right now, the IRGC is helping make the case to other world leaders themselves. But, there are a lot of everyday people in America who believe something different. They need to be convinced. Educate them on how the current Iranian regime remaining in place will affect their gas prices, and every other good they purchase. Make it more than just about the nuclear program. Make it about day-to-day life and expenses. Tell them how Iran regulating oil through the Strait will affect their pocketbook. They should have plenty of recent evidence now. I'll agree it doesn't appear Iran can launch a nuclear warhead at this time. That's as far as I'll go as it relates to their nuke program status. I can guarantee that's as far as any internal intelligence assessment provided to POTUS will go. It won't provide definitive details. That's not how our assessments work unless the info is verified by multiple sources. What he does with the assessments he does receive from there is more of a political statement on his part for his own reasons. [Hidden Content]
