Trump To Be President In 2023?!

Reagan

Recommended Posts

There's a scenario that's being bantered around that could "legally" put Donald Trump in as President sometime in 2023.  Here's how it goes:  Again, let me start out by saying that this is all Constitutional.  Ok, the Republicans would have to take over the House and Senate in 2022.  Which, as it appears now, is very likely.  There is no doubt on my mind that on day one the House will start impeachment hearings against Joebama.  But, with the scenario concerning Trump, the House will add Harris to the impeachment situation.  Impeach and removal will be the goal.  Now, this is where Trump comes in.  How many people realize that one DOES NOT have to be a member of Congress to be Speaker?  So, with that being said, they would name Trump Speaker.  Once The President and VP is removed, then Trump becomes President sometime in 2023!  Again -- all legal and Constitutional.

Now, the question is, how bad does it have to get before something like this becomes reality?

Better have a 2/3 majority in the senate for a conviction, or a few back-stabbing democrats. They’re already back-stabbers, just not sure how eager they are to stab one of their own.

Dumb crap like this is the reason that moderates won't vote Republican.

If you really believe that Republicans can just usurp the election process and install whoever they want, you obviously weren't paying attention during Government class as a senior.

I'll also guarantee that if by some stupid chance we DID have a Congress foolish enough to try, you'd have a civil war on your hands.

The level of stupidity here is mind-blowing.

You shouldn’t call people stupid. They might get offended. It’s more like wishful thinking. I see nothing wrong with that.

Well, the Constitution allows for this situation.  In what situation would be acceptable for you?

BTW, what part was I wrong on?

Ha!  Yea, that's usually the case.  Easily triggered.  LOL.

But the hard part would be getting the 2/3's needed for removal.  We could, no doubt, get both impeached.  If it looks like we had the votes for removal, then we proceed.  If not, then we don't.  Pretty easy decision.  That's why I ended with "how bad does it have to get before something like this becomes reality?"  If things are REALLY bad then maybe we get a few Dem Senators?  Would be interesting to see play out.

Just because you “have the votes” doesn’t mean you should do it. That’s what happened the first time that trump was impeached. Is Biden a terrible President? No doubt. Is he reasonably guilty of any “high crimes or misdemeanors?” Not by any evidence I’ve seen. Americans don’t want more of the same crap. They dont want more partisan rancor and endless hearings in the House. The worst thing that the Rs could do is to start some stupid Impeachment just because “they have the votes.”

“But Trump could be the Speaker of the House.” It would never happen, even if it’s what Rudy, Marjorie, the Pillow Man, and a bunch of red-hatted fools get chubbies dreaming of.

The part where you believe that it is even remotely possible that maybe 12-15 Democrat senators will play along.

So will the moderates not vote Democrat since that is exactly what the Dems did for 4 years including trying to impeach Trump after he had lost the election and within days of him leaving office?

I think that Trump would easily have won in 2020 partly because of the first Impeachment if he'd have just not been willfully repulsive to anybody but his most loyal followers.  The second impeachment was rightful in regards to having grounds.... the timing issue is a completely different story.

As we're now looking down the barrel of another failed Trump Presidential campaign, I think Rs might regret not voting along with Romney in the Senate for the second Impeachment before it's all over.

The people who keep squawking "yeah, but no mean tweets, huh?" have failed to grasp what happened in 2020.  There was no election fraud.  It's been conclusively proven that it never happened.  Anybody who still believes that the election was stolen is literally a flat earther. More people hated Trump than liked Biden.  That hasn't changed.  If you had to ask the people who voted against Trump if they'd take him back now that gas prices are high, inflation is amok, and the whole shebang looks like it is coming off of the rails, every single one of those 81 million voters would say "no, eff that guy."

They still hate him (understandably so) and nothing will change that.

True.  But it's a subject by subject situation.

AKA- i'm totally okay with republicans making a mockery of political process and democracy to usurp power, but if the left does it then it's time for a war.  the right likes to claim superiority over the left when it comes to behavior, but then tries to justify crap like this with examples from the left.

where's your source that this would be "legal."  this looks an awful lot like something someone would find on a viral fb meme.  also, like cardinal stated, what crime would the republican controlled house and senate be impeaching Biden and Harris for?  Ineffectiveness isn't a crime.  being terrible at your job isn't a crime.  being a democrat isn't a crime.

    • That was an awesome video!  I feel so proud of these young men.  They proved the doubters wrong.  Bellville should be proud, too.  I know it didn't end like they had hoped, but we've been there, so we can definitely empathize with them.  Great season, Brahmas!
    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.
