Playoffs!

There are no gimmies this week. PAM will be playing a very disciplined well coached CS team and BH will be playing a very athletic PW team. Lufkin as those have said is not a very good measuring stick. BH beat them 35-7 with Lufkin's only TD coming on a 85-yard scamper by Watters, outside of that BH dominated them from start to finish. PW beat Anderson and lost to CS and C A&M, to me PW's best win was against LaPorte which has them fired up and playing well in the playoffs. I think both of these games are toss ups with PAM's chances leaning better than BH's to get to the next round. Either way that's why we play the game. Good luck to BH and PAM.

Yeah I actually like Hardins matchup with Yoakum better… Hitchcock was better defensively in my opinion. But Yoakum has the better offense to. Should be a good game

I agree they may be a bit more talented, but i don't think quite as scrappy as '23 State Champs. They better get that way though, and soon. But still, I'm picking them over MH.

There have been comments all year that some think this 2025 team may be Coach Joseph's best yet. There are a lot of numbers to statistically support that too. I don't care who we are playing this week or in the upcoming weeks, the Indians have what it takes to win another state championship. They have one in 2023 and were very close to one in 2022. The Coach Jeff Joseph career so far at PN-G is a real story still in the making with school records falling all over the place.

Excellent game by the Eagles. One game is just one game and one season is one season, but Cody Simper seems to be a great fit at BH. I love the halftime adjustments the staff makes. The BH defense smothered AA in the 2nd half, and the BH offense found the ground game in the 2nd half. I doubt too many people thought BH would be playing post Thanksgiving especially after back to back losses early in district, but here we are. Total team effort tonight. Friendly note to the Beaumont media. BH is closer to Beaumont than teams like Jasper and Newton who gets lots of coverage, but tonight BH was not even mentioned on 6 or 12. Instead there was follow up on yesterdays WOS-Robinson game. BH and PAM are the two teams still alive from the local 5A-1 district. Seems to me it would not be too hard to at least mention BH won and is going into the 3rd round.

I may not see all of the posts because I'm not on that much so you maybe right. I try and be as objective as I can. Sometimes I probably come off negative. I NEVER pull for our kids to lose. But I know there are those in our community who do. I also know what goes on in the program and I'm pretty sure you know that. The same effort needs to be given before the results happen. That's not happening and people know it. That's a problem and will be until something changes. That's not a complaint by me. It's reality.

That would definitely be a nice game to watch. A good old fashioned slug fest but I’d honestly take Franklin to come out on top.
