Your district record got better because of the district you now play. I stated that out of the three schools that opted up, BC was the only one I really didn't have much problem with doing it since their numbers are close to DI anyways. IMO, BC finishes no better than 3rd in 9-4A DII.

I’ve got some opinions myself on this one, but instead of voicing them again I’ll just say this: it’s gone way off the rails, so let’s get back to BC/Navasota so that we don’t have to lock the thread.

The video I was able to find didn't specify what orders they were being asked to disobey. It was also a stupid request the video participants themselves wouldn't have followed while serving. I am providing the Code of Conduct and consequences. A Servicemember gives up many rights. They knowingly do it when they choose to serve. It doesn't matter the circumstances. Active protesting by a Servicemember is disallowed, and disobeying a direct order will immediately send you to an Article 32. When a Servicemember decides to disobey an order, they darn sure better make sure the order isn't legal. Very few orders qualify, and their entire life will be ruined if they're wrong. POTUS hasn't ordered DOD personnel to do anything illegal or unconstitutional--regardless of this stupid video--and the DOD personnel know it. So do those on the video. Theater. Trump calling the people's actions on the video 'seditious and traitorous' is also theater. He has no idea what he's talking about. Hyperbole by all.

So I read this last night and this morning went and watched AMC tapes. I needed to get familiar with the game I’m attending and what to be watching for. Their running back had great vision got north and south and runs through tackles but his speed wasn’t eye popping. They had a couple big lineman but they don’t seem to finish blocks very well, which with PA speed and hard nose tackling I see a lot of 3rd and long situations coming in and that’s what you want to get after the QB… especially with their better passing QB out. Just gotta gang tackle and fly to the ball, which seems like PA has done this all year. More I watch and see video of them, If PA can get off to fast start this game could get ugly quickly… Speed kills Friday night. Titans skin the Tigers

If it's not their team having success, then they're going to be negative. They always find a reason to be negative and that's just society today. But I'll say this, if your coach chose to opt up to Division 1 for WHATEVER reason, then you should back him 100%. If other people don't agree, so be it. It's what Bridge City decided to do and in the long scheme of things, they were successful doing it. BC is now the 2025 Division 1 District Champions and Bi-District Champions. So it's working for them. If you're on here and you not from Navasota or maybe Kilgore, then beat it or support a SETX team that is successful. There are plenty of schools loaded with potential in this area that can't figure it out. Go back to the miserable thread about your team not making the playoffs or losing the first round and figure out a solution to excel! Bridge City did! Congrats Cardinals!

If that were the case, then why did you guys schedule lower classification teams in non district? One would think you would schedule up in non district.

I don’t understand all of the BC hate. When great football programs like BC and Newton step up and beat larger schools, why do we face ridicule? I could understand if we were trying drop down and face smaller schools, but we’re not.

It’s against UCMJ for military personnel (in uni’s or not) to actively participate in protests. If you choose to disobey a direct order, you are immediately taken into custody to await court martial proceedings.

I went to the store (wal-mart) the other day and got a bag of dog food ($50), 2 different dog treats, gallon of tea, 4 cucumbers, salad dressing, a couple other things I can't remember and it was $130...... Maybe it needs a little regulation? Texas used to have a “file and use” system of rate approval. The company would file with the department of insurance and the rate could only be used after approval was authorized. Back in the 90’s Governor Shrub and his band of idiots decided a “use and file” system would be better for everyone (heh heh). Companies can use whatever rate they want by filing, and can keep using until the state disapproves. I’ve never heard of a TDI disapproval. And rates have gone nowhere but up. The market does not have a sufficient diversity of players for market forces to have much control on pricing, especially for property insurance. The lawsuit defense has pretty much been a dead one since tort reform, but they keep flogging it. Reinsurance is the main culprit. One aspect of reinsurance is that it spreads risk more globally. Another is that It isn’t a regulated market. Property damage globally from climate related disasters is beginning to spiral out of control. Increased premiums at home (here) reflect a recouping losses from a typhoon in the Philippines as much as from a Hurricane here. This was my business from 40 odd years. Studied on it a lot.

I'm curious as well about the "dominating" statement, are you referring to baseball? This season only 3 of the 11 teams they've played have a winning record. Those 11 schools combined record is 50-65 so I'd say the competition has been average at best. Don't forget all of their non-district games were against 3A schools. Hats off to the players and coaches on a great season so far, but I'd pump the brakes on "dominating."

Think that Vidor can give BC fits with how hard they play and how tough they will be to score on. BC will have the best player in the district with Bush and have the advantage at post. But the two guards from Vidor are very good players.

Franklin runs multiple sets and will find what is working. But Hardin runs a double wing and stays true to it. Franklin's bread and butter is the Slot-t.

Thats the problem. BC is not a great football program (yet) still well under .500 all time. And have at least 5 more winning seasons to be remotely considered as such (which could very well happen)... Now placing your name with Newton who is well over .750 and contenders every year is the problem... you clearly dont understand besides wins and loses or who you play against. Take the blinders off. Enjoy the success as you should but you're really being unrealistic

no probably to it, and the tigers absolutely deserved that hardware. It's one thing to run into a team that's better than you, another thing entirely to be a town of less than 7,000 people and run into an AAU team recruiting from 13 districts and millions of people.

If Crosby went for two and got it....would everyone still be mad about the call?? It very nearly worked, took a great play by the Consol defense to hold the QB out of the end zone....I dont mind a coach trusting his kids to go win the game there, espeically as a road underdog....same thing for Friendswood who was in the exact same scenario except they were on the 3 and not the 1.5 yard line.. Seems like Crosby has gotten better each of the last 3 years....4 of the 6 losses this year were by one score...

I watched the entire A&M -vs- Crosby game. Their RB is a big bruising style runner with two big offensive lineman who seem to feed off each other. Their QB was erratic at times, but made good plays with both his arm and feet last night. The DB... I forgot his name already, but he's big and physical, I look for A&M to stack the box and have their #1 DB shadow Roberts all game. .. Our (Memorial) has the best offensive line I've seen in years, #41 is a wing/FB/TE position and quietly blocks defenders into the parking lot. If my prediction is correct, we are going to have a pleasant big game from the WR's Jones, DJ and #9, with Roberts taking their best DB out of the game.. Our defense is going to do business as usual, Martin is going to Martin and our RB's will get their bags... PAM by17
