The last time Trump was President, he tried to stay in power after losing the election. Who could have imagined that Trump and his butt sniffers would destroy the very fabric of our democracy if he were re-elected? At first it was a general push to redistrict between census years. Something that is typically not done. Then you had a biased Supreme Court issue a ruling that stripped away the protections of the voting rights act, and now states are “calling off” elections that are already in process so that they can rush out new districting that will eliminate any minority representation in Congress. Spineless legislators in Texas started this by doing Trump’s bidding instead of doing what is right, and it snowballed. And in the meantime, the IRS (overseen by Trump) is finalizing a settlement deal to give Trump 10 billion dollars because some rogue employee released trumps income tax returns… something every other presidential candidate has done willingly since the 1950s. Americans are going to have to rise up and say “enough.” And the republicans have made sure that the people can’t do it at the ballot box. What happens next?

Here’s the problem. When the pentagon announces “we’ve spent 40 billion on this war…. Errrrr, excursion,” they’re talking about what it costs to manufacture those weapons, however long ago they were manufactured. Out cost in today’s dollars will be much, much higher than their production cost decades ago. They’re also not tallying any other cost… lost aircraft, mobilization cost, hazard pay, damage to our facilities, wear and tear, etc, etc… plus the economic cost you and I are paying every single time we pull out our wallets and pay extra. Trump’s new argument is “if you don’t agree with my spending, you must want Iran to have nukes.” If you have any doubts that Trump and company lie nonstop about the cost of everything, look no further than his 200 billion dollar ballroom. I mean, his 350 million dollar ballroom. Pardon me, his $400 million dollar ballroom, but the costs don’t matter because it’s all being privately funded. Except he needs a billion taxpayer dollars to build his ballroom. Or the 1.6 million dollar deal he got to paint the reflecting pool. Those guys have already billed 13.1 million, and they aren’t finished yet. That’s what happens when you elect someone with proven bad character and put them in charge of spending. We all get stuck holding bag.

That’s not true. I personally can’t stand theft and fraud when it comes to tax dollars. It’s not a “victimless crime.” I’m glad that Texas banned sugary snacks and drinks from purchase with “food stamps.” The Feds should have done it long ago.

I wouldn’t be worried, either, if I’d tripled my net worth in the last 15 months since taking office. Funny facts… the ufc is holding fights on the White House lawn in a couple of weeks. Dana white is on record stating that the UFC isn’t collecting a gate at all… they aren’t charging admission to the fights. They’re going to seat 4,000 “guests” of Trump. The price for ringside seats is a cool million bucks apiece, supposedly. Anybody want to guess if any of what dough will end up in the Treasury? Because it won’t. It’s a direct donation to Trump. What does make a difference is the fact that inflation ticked up to 3.8% last month… that’s the highest it’s been since 2023. So much winning. The other problem is that the fed can’t cut interest rates (or, they shouldn’t) because a rate cut will only inflame inflationary forces. Trump’s war has not only cost billions and depleted our munitions, but also backed Trump into a corner regarding his economic plans.

No, it’s not… according to you it is, but that’s because your side is trampling everybody else. The fact that patriots have tried three times now to eliminate the greatest threat that America has had in 250 years says that everything isn’t “doing just fine,” and if the Dems were doing the exact same things, you wouldn’t feel like things were going peachy. There will be an equal and opposite reaction, and it will be a bitter pill for people who think that taking a massive dump on half of America is okay.

Only a white supremacist would celebrate the Judicial destruction of the Voting Rights Act and ensuing off-year congressional redistricting that eliminates minority representation in Congress. It’s a sad day in America. The white supremacists aren’t even trying to hide their feelings anymore.

My thoughts go like this. Americans voted in 2024 and we got the president and I’m assuming congressmen that we wanted. “We” not including me, but that’s okay-it’s democracy. Then, we rush out and do an unprecedented off year redistricting that favors the party who just got elected. If the election were held today, the Republicans claim that they’d win 20-30 more Congressional districts than they did less than two years ago. Without a single voter changing their vote. You quite simply can’t have democracy and do the things that the republicans are doing today. If your vote doesn’t count, people will feel like they need to, as Corrosion of Conformity sang back in the 90s, “Vote with a Bullet.” These are very, very dangerous games that trump and his butt-sniffers are playing. Deligitimizing the election process with lies about election fraud that was never proven, then playing games with redistricting to subvert the will of the voters. This is how governments get overthrown, and I’ve got a bad feeling that MAGA won’t like the way things look when the smoke all clears, if it ever comes down to that. And politics are a pendulum. It swings one way, then back the other. The other side will make their way back into power, and they WILL remember the way that republicans have acted.

Did y’all see the latest poop on the Trump smart phones? 600,000 (including Reagan, I’m sure) plunked down $100 deposits on the “American made” Trump T1 phone last year, with a fall of 2025 anticipated date of delivery. The first thing that changed was the “Made in America” language disappeared because they quite simply can’t be manufactured here. Then the deadlines got pushed back a month, then another month, then Q1 of 2026, with the last updates to the website (Apr 2026) letting the MAGA idiots who put money down that “there will be no refunds, and there is no guarantee that you will receive a phone.” That’s a slick $60 million to the grifter in Chief. It could have been done a half dozen times already but Trump picks up his phone and blows the deal apart with some stupid posting. I think it’s important to note that our allies (Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) told Trump in no uncertain terms to knock it off. They’re tired of his crap. The real problem is that people don’t realize that the deficit spending and debt have gotten a LOT worse in the last twelve years. It went from 19.95 Trillion the day Trump was inaugurated in 2017 to 39 Trillion today… and we’re adding another trillion every 100 days at this point. Analysts predict that number will be somewhere between 45 Trillion and 49 Trillion by the time Trump leaves office, assume that we’re all so unlucky that he serves his full term. We passed the 100% point of debt to gdp a couple of weeks ago. A milestone that hadn’t been hit since 1946 coming out of WWII. It will be somewhere closer to 107% of GDP by January of 2029. And no one cares. Retrofit a jet for Trump to take with him when he leaves office for a billion? No sweat. A billion tax dollars for a new ballroom? We got this. A few hundred billion on a failed attempt to topple irans leadership? Why not? Tax cuts for anybody and everybody? I think we can spend our way out of debt. It’s insanity.

Why don’t you compare today’s prices to those back in mid-February of 2026, instead of 13 years ago?
