  2. I would guess a lot of teams did what BC did last night. What Desoto did by winning state is amazing. They won 6a championship with 5a numbers. All BC did was beat a 4th seed in rd 1 in 4a

  3. I’m not a BC supporter but their program is improving each year regardless of the district. Great win. A lot of sour grapes around here.

  4. Man I'm new to the site...and I really want to root for BC as they represent district 10-4A But the people I've interacted with from BC and the posters on this site make it hard to root for you guys. Congrats on the big win and good luck moving forward.

  5. Nono. Lets not do that. Kilgore is 10-1. Bc is 10-1 against teams well under .500 win record.. theres a time to brag and not to.....Enjoy the win and let's not compare. You dont have to. Bc is winning. Keep it rolling. Most of us are BC fans now from this point foward until next season

  6. BC opted up just so they could make the playoffs in a weaker district. Not real ethical and we know how BC feels about ethics....... lol

  7. Congratulations BU coaches, players, and fans. It's a long and winding road for the first ever playoff win. Put in the work, trust the process, enjoy the Ws. It's all worth it. GO INDIANS...and T-Wolves.

  10. I hope they keep ashworth and the first team offense for most of the second half. Ashworth needs as many live reps with the starters as he can possibly get. Time to grow up fast.

  11. 🙏 Speedy recovery & not serious. I really like that young man’s play on the field. I’m sure he’s probably an all-around good kid.

  14. Seems kinda harsh to call kids thugs, I saw LCM player throw punches and they had multiple ejections as well. I would just say it was hotly contested wouldnt say the Kilgore players are thugs.

  15. I was there and didn't listen to commentators, but we all know they are homers like most other home broadcasts around the state. Marshall folks don't even like hearing them most of time. Not that they are bad commentators. Texas Highs crew is just as bad. Everybody in Marshall knew from early in the season, that if Qb Henderson ever gets hurt, we are not winning anymore games. He was 80% of the offense. Then he just happens to get hurt before getting pulled last week. He should have been yanked in 2nd quarter. He showed a ton of grit playing on 1 leg though. Huntsville was very physical. That led to a ton of mouthing the entire game. Im embarrassed. Coaches have been letting it happen last couple years. I miss our coaches of 80s and 90s. They had our kids being mentioned as some of the most well behaved, disciplined kids in the state. Gone are those days. Good luck vs Terrell. All their coaches were in the stands.

  16. As a grandparents to a LCM player, I was at the game last night and what I saw last night was not a game. It was Kilgore looking to start a fight. They were taunting, talking smack and cussing to both LCM players and coaches. The incident in the end zone was a assault by a Kilgore player slamming a LCM players head to the ground or fence several times. That's assault and that player should be arrested. The UIL needs to look into this. Plus LCM should look into having it investigate by law enforcement. Yes Kilgore won the game, but they are a classless school, nothing but thugs.

  19. I watched the entire A&M -vs- Crosby game. Their RB is a big bruising style runner with two big offensive lineman who seem to feed off each other. Their QB was erratic at times, but made good plays with both his arm and feet last night. The DB... I forgot his name already, but he's big and physical, I look for A&M to stack the box and have their #1 DB shadow Roberts all game. .. Our (Memorial) has the best offensive line I've seen in years, #41 is a wing/FB/TE position and quietly blocks defenders into the parking lot. If my prediction is correct, we are going to have a pleasant big game from the WR's Jones, DJ and #9, with Roberts taking their best DB out of the game.. Our defense is going to do business as usual, Martin is going to Martin and our RB's will get their bags... PAM by17

  20. This was a great game. Back and forth with lots of great players making plays. Landon Smith with 32pts Zack Beatty with 16 HJ #23 Price with 22. Hit some really big shots to keep us from pulling away early. Sieve with 18 Lowe with 12

  22. Good point. Another thing is I think it would do us well to simplify our passing game. Short easy passes. His speed adds a new wrinkle, for sure. I think he has a good touch on his passes. I’m excited to see how the coaches prepare him. The biggest wildcard in my view isn’t Ashworth’s skill — It’s his nerves, guts, etc. Bailey has ice in his veins, and he’s seen just about everything a high school qb can see. You can’t replace that kind of experience, and it can’t be taught. With a new starter getting baptized in the second round of the playoffs (you almost can’t count the game tonight because he was already going to play the whole second half with or without Bailey), it’s a giant question mark as to how he steps up mentally and emotionally. Not to mention becoming a good decision maker. That’s football, and we’ll just have to see. He’s already showing a lot of confidence.

  23. What can I say? This team weathered the early storm amd got a few breaks in the second half to win. Second half adjustment for our defense was key. and Congrats on that first ever playoff win!

  25. Considering the only teams to beat Chapel Hill before tonight were Kilgore, Lindale, Carthage, and Pine Tree. I’d say Bridge City did a pretty dang good job! Everyone picked Chapel Hill to roll BC.

  26. Ok Indians...man y'all coaches really got them boys playing some ball. To be a contender every year is a blessing. Hope the qb is ok...

  27. For him to move from running back to quarterback that is pretty impressive. Hope he can stay healthy and keep it up in the playoffs.

  28. Questionable fourth down call on a fumble to end game. Looked like Bellville had the first. like stated above, Bellville didn’t deserve to win this one anyway.

  33. And reasons like this are why I can't stand 4 teams going to playoffs its too watered down for the great schools... Kilgore was better off with a bye week.

  44. M. Morris had 167 last year. He’s at 120 this year. He missed the West Brook game due to injury. Maxpreps doesn’t always update properly. It shows 120 on his profile but only 108 on the leadership boards.

  47. A few other interesting points about these preseason rankings: Atascocita could be pretty special this season. They are playing in several national tourneys and one day events. They will be battle tested come district time. Some say this is the year for Baytown Sterling to replace Barbers Hill in the playoffs. If that happens, then United would go DII and that could provide an opportunity for both Beaumont schools to make it to San Antonio. Will be interesting to see. Looks like Orangefield and East Chambers will again battle for district supremacy. If Kountze fails to make playoffs and Anahuac does, that would send East Chambers to DII. My money is still on Kountze getting in the post season. San Augustine could make some noise in the region. They have a new coach as well. Big Sandy is back in the rankings after a "un Big Sandy" type season last year. Brookeland again head and shoulders above the local 1A's but the district that 28-1A faces in the 1st round is loaded. 27-1A has #10 Wells, #11 Kennard and #12 Groveton Centerville along with an always tough Broaddus team. Getting close to that time of year. Looking forward to another great basketball season.
