Decided to attend this one. Was happy with the offense overall especially since OlDawg informed all were backups. I am relieved that TE is getting involved in the passing game. Defensively, I'd like to see the DB's be more aggressive at the LOS. I dont like the scheme where they play 10 yds off the wr and giving them the ability to run their routes without resistance. They still get beat over the top so why not jam them at the LOS. Anyway a nice team win. Go LP!

Never heard of a blocking TE getting a full ride. Unless they have other plans for him at another position. At this point why not? No different than an OL playing both ways.

Agree the potential is there just got to come together. Hate to see 88 not be involved in the passing game. Did he get a full ride to pitt?

I would agree they were ranked too high this year. Had to be because of the weapons on offense. Defense progressed from ok to bad towards the end of the year. Also the loss of watson at LB was huge. Hopefully the young defense can get better. Offense is trying really hard to not be one dimensional but thats impossible when your constantly playing from behind. Best of luck to LP though.

It's only a penalty if its done during blocking. A coach i had used to call it a MF'er block lol. It was used more of as an attitude adjustment to an annoying DT. God I love old school football instead of this soft cuddly stuff we watch now.

The staff as a whole was outcoached. OC has to adjust when defenses stack the box. I think they should have let wells come in to give the offense another dynamic.

Your right. Embarrassing to say the least. Defense just seemed to get worse and worse as the season progressed. Is it bad coaching or is it the players? I guess LP will always be content on winning district titles.

You've got that right. R3 is loaded this year. Can't really say with confidence who will end up in the R3 final. PA Memorial seems to be a juggernaut. If my memory serves me correctly, last time LP beat PA memorial in the playoffs was in 2006? All other times have been blowouts. Sorry to get off subject.

Any info on weiss' special teams play? From what i can tell ours is suspect at best.

Hopefully they can bring it all together for the rest of the playoffs. I've enjoyed watching the 2nd string qb when he gets his opportunities this season. Perhaps they can use his athletic ability to help out the secondary If hes not going to start. Kid can play.

Couldn't agree more with your analysis. LP's secondary has given me grey hair this year. As much as I hate to see corners playing 10 yards off the receivers I can understand why. Even with the large cushion the corners and safetys still get beat deep and are out of position more times than not. Weiss QB will be licking his chops watching game film. Ok done with my rant. Pulling for LP. Optimistic prediction is LP doing just enough again 49 - 42.
