I will let you all in on a secret. Setx fan went into the Woodville locker at half time and showed the coaches the changes they needed to make. Thank you Setx fan for your super knowledge and getting the coaches straighten out at half time. By the way where did you coach at, pure oil, Gulf, texaco, or Dupont?

Eagles won. Thankfully the team didn't quit and the coaches didn't quit. These kids learned alot about themselves and that life is tough but keep plugging, you never know when things will turn. We are 9-2. Same as the prior year.

You need to stick to what you know and understand. WO-S didn't build a reputation by beating up on mediocre teams. WO-S has always had talented kids. The program elevated them to the highest winning percentage of any program in the state. The discipline and coaching elevated them to being one of the storied programs state-wide. The proof is in the pudding. You can look at the immediate drop and what happens when WO-S faces the elite competition that they used to bludgeon with conditioning. You DO NOT get it. We aren't haters. We LOVE WO-S. We have A LOT of pride. We have high standards and didn't want to see the program fall. It has. By every objective metric, what was left in the cupboard shouldn't have looked like that. It has been beneath what we expect.

It seems alot of WOS fans go into every game hoping for a loss to have something negative to say about the coaching staff smh. Good win Mustangs!

Reading this thread you’d think you were reading updates for an 0-9 team about to finish the season without a win rather than a squad that just won an undefeated district championship (in a pretty tough district) and is about to wrap up a comfortable first round playoff win 🙄

Those were the Coach Hooks and Thompsons days. Those days are gone along with the strong discipline on both sides of the ball. Mistakes would have got you chewed out on the sidelines. Miss those days.

Due to me attending football playoff game (Orangefield vs. Diboll in Jasper) I will be posting game threads this morning for the games tonight. What you don't hear in the biased left wing get Trump media is Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) recently attempted to force an expedited floor vote on releasing the FULL Epstein files on November 13th, 2025. Burchett pushed for the procedural move during house proceedings , expressing frustration with delays in transparency and calling for a direct vote to publish ALL DOJ - held documents related to Epstein's investigations, prosecutions and connections. The effort was blocked that same day by house democrats....... They would rather drip select redacted emails for political reasons, just like they did with the government shutdown. They don't care about the victims or the SNAP recipients.....they just want to try and gain a political edge.

This "fan" is an odd one for sure. His nephew or whatever doesn't get to play, so this guy thinks he knows better than the coaches who are there every day. Typical I know more than the professional who has done this for 30 years because I won a Little League Super Bowl when my son was playing.

When the players talk about their coach, they speak highly of him that matters. Congrats to the Mustangs on moving on to the next round.

Cornell was at Stark before the merge and was an intergarl part of strength and conditioning from the very beginning. 1983 was a singular bad year with a lot of issues in the lockerroom. It wasn't lack of talent (I think Harold Green ended up at Oklahoma) or coaching and you could clearly see the ascent the next season as we gave eventual co-state champ french all they wanted. Back then we were 5A and whoever came out of our district routinely went to state. Of ANYONE responsible for building that program, it was Cornell Thompson and the fact that you don't know that demonstrates your lack of understanding here. (and honestly, Kerry Franks, Sr., practically single-handedly carried us to that District Championship in 1979. It sure wasn't Mccarty.)

Something to think about for Silsbee. Jacalob Johnson could be the only football player in school history to have 800 yards receiving for his career, 1000+ passing, and 1000+ rushing. He is over double digit touchdowns in rushing and passing but not sure about receiving with last years stats. I'd be interested to see if #20 Morris has the single season tacking record.
