My thoughts for what they are worth….

shouldn't have, if you'd paid it back responsibly. you like to talk about how well you're doing financially... shoulda paid more than the minimum. it's not difficult. my wife got her masters and we paid it off in 2 years.4 points -
I have almost completely avoided commenting on the election in these forums. I have avoided most politics threads. So with it over, these are my thoughts. The Democrats are all about identity politics, period. Not only about identity of potential voters but about candidates. That doomed them. They have twice chosen a female to run with their banner but was either the best candidate or even the best woman candidate? No. Clinton’s primary was rigged and Harris had no primary. When Harris ran in 2020 she could not even muster the support to win a single delegate. Let that sink in. The Democrats resoundingly rejected Harris four years ago. In my opinion the Democrats through Clinton, created Trump. In a normal election Trump should never have stood a chance in 2016 but against one of the worst candidates in history, the coronation of the first woman president didn’t happen. Was Clinton the best Democrat in the country? It only came down to a socialist in Bernie Sanders and “the first woman”. Why didn’t anyone (big names) else run? It isn’t rocket science. The fix for Clinton and the super delegates was in. No Democrat with future aspirations would dare jump in and risk a defeat. Jump to 2024 and it was rigged again to break the glass ceiling. Of course someone could ignore that it was kind of a shock that Biden dropped out after he had secured the nomination but in smoke filled rooms this was the plan all along. Harris could not run against her boss so the Dems had to back him but then a couple of months before the election, force him out and install Harris without having her run. They hoped the bump would hold but it started fading quickly. They couldn’t wait to name her however because the DNC convention was looming and the call behind the scenes was forced in order for Harris to basically be selected (not elected) unopposed st the convention. It was now or never. Like Clinton, was Harris the best Democrat candidate? I think the result last night was a resounding no. So who best Harris? According to the Democrats it was a guy who had the baggage of… Orangeman bad Mean tweets Twice impeached Convicted on felonies Sued for issues many years ago Insurrectionist Abortion rights removal by the Supreme Court and Trump appointed justices Fascist Hitler Garbage Will overturn the Constitution on his first day in office A threat to democracy Etc. And yet, Harris got thumped. How could anyone think that Trump could win with such (claimed) baggage… but he did. That tells you how bad and delusional the Democrats are. With all of the baggage, how could the Democrat candidate not have won a record breaking landslide like Reagan in 1984? Easy. By selecting a person based on boxes checked. The Democrats created Donald Trump and their internally rigged elections have come back to them. This was not a Donald Trump win. It was a resounding Democrat loss.3 points

I agree that the Republicans need to move on. If they find a real crime like a criminal coverup like Watergate? Sure. Trying to dig into the law books to try and discover a crime that can be stretched into a prosecution won’t be in the best interest of the country or the GOP. No need to turn to Democrats’ tactics.3 points

Putting people in a box and calling people that don't go to college uneducated (not saying you are saying that...but several of the liberal news stations and Dems have) is part of the rhetoric so many are tired of. What makes you uneducated because you didn't go to college? All of these people that go to trade school...are they uneducated? All these people that start their own business and are extremely successful...are they uneducated? I will take people that are knowledgeable and wise every day of the week over "education." College isn't for everyone. There are millions upon millions of jobs that are necessary for this world to function and they do not require college. Is someone that doesn't go to college uneducated because they don't go to college? I know a lot of people that make a lot more money with no college degree than I do with a college degree. With so many classes being online you can cheat your way through college. Are you educated just because a sheet of paper says you are? The idea that people who continue on to college are more intelligent than the people that don't is quite insulting to. It's a choice, and as I said, it's not for everyone. Let's not forget...it was the "educated" that put Jesus on the cross.2 points -
seems kinda silly. We come to you live to figure out seeding so we can tell you which district 9 teams these two teams will lose to next week in the playoffs!2 points

My wife and I are 10 years into a 15-year note on our house. Not only did we save an obscene amount of money by avoiding a 30-year note, we're actually on pace to finish paying it off at least 2 years early. it's not difficult to be responsible, but I respect your son for doing it at a young age. I can't imagine being 45-50 years old or however old BG is and still paying the minimum on a "predatory loan" when you're making more than enough money to pay the loan off in a year or two at most. And then have the nerve to constantly question everyone's intelligence or talk down to them on financial issues.2 points -

Here’s a thought for you: I have 3 good Mexican friends who were brought into the country illegally as children. Through the dreamer act they were able to go through the process legally to become US citizens. It was a long process, and this was the first election they were able to vote in. All three are hard workers and make pretty good money, and subsequently pay a lot of taxes. All three voted for Trump. It appears that the left’s attempt to flood the country with new voters is starting to backfire. It seems that even immigrants, once they become legal and pay taxes and come off the govt teat are trending towards being somewhat conservative. I talked to one of them tonight and he told me “we worked hard to get where we are, and we don’t want them just letting everyone in either.” And apparently to some degree this is happening with black voters as well. When you work hard to get to where you are it’s a lot less appealing to give large chunks of your money to those who refuse to help themselves. The irony is that without a doubt DEI initiatives created some newly financially stable voters who don’t like the idea of their earned money being taken from them and redistributed to those who don’t work. 1 in 4 black males in Georgia voted for Trump. 60% of Latinos in Michigan voted for Trump. Those are incredible numbers!2 points -

Exhibition loss to DII LSU Alexandria last night, 83-80. Their best returning player, Hamilton, only played 10 minutes and arguably their best scorer, BB Knight didn’t play at all. Haven’t seen the new players yet and they seemed to rely heavily on two of the juco transfer guards. I will say I did see a postseason LSU-A game last year and the Natt kid who hit the game winner last night would be an all-conference type player in the SLC. But you never want to lose to a lower division school, even in an exhibition game, especially at home, especially leading by 9 at half. Cards put up 51 in the first half, but when the stop falling, just don’t have the defense to rely upon and struggle keeping people from getting to the basket. Having said all that, saw McNeese in a controlled scrimmage. They are even better than last year and without a tremendously off game, won’t be tested in that league. High mid-major roster in a low major league.2 points

this is the exact elitist attitude that's been coming from the left that is costing y'all all these elections. talking down to people that disagree with you like they're stupid. I know just as many dumb people who have degrees as don't. I've read enough of your posts that I would bet any amount of money that this page contains a large amount of folks without degrees who have a higher IQ than you. The point being that an education doesn't at all equal intelligence. a big chunk of these kids today are getting degrees in meaningless areas and all they know how to do is protest and complain. They're calling people dumb but can't hold or even find a job. They're unable to cope with even the slightest adversity, and an event like Trump winning the election will shut them down for weeks. Time to get down off your high horse. Your nursing degree didn't do a damn thing to make you more qualified to cast an educated vote in a presidential election, which you've proven over and over again with your posts the last two days.1 point -

All Trump has to do is prosecute everyone on the Diddy and Epstein lists. That will get rid of all the perverts in the Hollywood/entertainment industry and in our government. That’s not payback. That’s something that needs to be done. Can’t we all agree on that? If not, you’re a pervert too. Could have rounded lots of them at the Kamala rallies.1 point -

I am a retired coach also, i hope this doesn't make my point invalid because i don't have 2 State Championships, only a couple of district championships, but from where I was sitting it looked liked the runner got in on the first or second try, which was missed by the official. It should have never got to 4th down. I am sure you couldn't see that looking through those rose colored glasses. As a retired coach, especially one with 2 State Championships, I am really surprised you decided to take this up on a message board.1 point -
