I still haven’t figured out why OF fans are in such a hurry to run the spread lol. There are lots of really bad teams running the spread, & we won a ton of games with the Slot T over really good programs. The Slot T fit our athletes well. Parents with very little football knowledge hate On the Slot T all the time, I’ve lived in OF for over 40 years, go look at some of the records we had before the Slot T, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I hope we go 10-0 next year but LCM hasn’t exactly been world beaters. I’m optimistic but I’m also realistic, and I feel the Slot T was very good for OF.

My brother is Christ - there's no coach on planet Earth that can take Vidor from any era and beat Northshore. Do you have a Bachelor's degree? If you do, go try to coach ball at any school for just a few weeks and you will realize how much goes into it.

You must never have watched this guy call offense. Even at WB he had a tight end on the field majority of the time and then at LCM played w/ 2 tight ends a lot and was run heavy. Everyone thinks the spread is Air Raid. In reality the base of it is spread triple option. Breaux has shown his offense is adaptable year to year based on his personnel.

I’m sure there may be some merit to this proposal, but I can see some failures with it too. What if 100 people want to sell their house to the county at the same time? How can the county afford to buy all of them? What will they do with them? Is this socialized realty? Lol. Call me crazy, but the less dealings I have with the government, the better. Also, being that it was proposed by a politician, a Democrat at that, it couldn’t be a well thought out plan.

He has a son that is a going to be a freshman and is a QB. OF already has starting QB that started as a freshman last year. If they bring him in you know he would want his kid to be the QB. That would not sit well with the community because the freshman starter is very well liked by the players and community. OF community is very tight knitted. That’s probably a big reason they shied away from him.

Yep - PNG has to rely on coaching up the boys we have, and SOC openly rebuilds like they’re in the ncaa. They had no pass rush against PNG last year - If we face them next year, they’ll have an all new team tailor made to deal with us. It’s ridiculous. And , if they win we’ll all stand there and clap and pretend there was anything organic about their team. If we win, they’ll file grievances and try to put asterisks and insinuations on the victory. I’m not saying they’re breaking the rules by all these transfers. They’re a magnet school and PnG isn’t, etc. But the idea that all the schools don’t put their teams together under the same rules challenges the idea of high school sports altogether. .

this transferring and recruiting garbage in HS sports is what needs to stop...taking the fun out of it, in part, if you ask me

Orangefield had a chance, but let the Little League Coaches of America get in the way of making a decision that could've advanced the program long term. They will reap what they've sown.
