How is Woodville more seasoned? And you say all they have played is Madisonville? Is Hitchcock a no one? Just because they were upset in round one? Columbus handled both of those teams. Madisonville beat Diboll who Woodville lost to… Columbus has a D1 commit at QB… a really good RB. Their O line is damn good. Could Woodville win? Of course it’s high school football but Columbus is #1 and well deserved. It will be very tough for Woodville to get the W… I’ve been wrong before but I don’t think I .. Columbus wins by 3 scores

It would be good for FBM, TC and Santa Fe too as far as traveling if they moved back to a district closer to Houston.

It’s also hilarious that Bellville’s schedule gets constantly brought up lol Weird that people wanted to bring up how well West Orange played against all those tough teams on their schedule and they aren’t your typical 5-5 team and Bellville comes out and completely dominates them but “Well Bellville just hasn’t played a team with a winning record” 😂😂😂 @89Falcon

At the end of the day win or lose I will be on here congratulating BC I will always be a homer with my Kilgore Dogs every year in all honesty BC will need to play a near perfect game and they could use a turnover as well. Nothing negative or down playing Bay City as a team but Kilgore is the better football team this year. Does the better football team always win No they don't that's why they play the game but if BC just comes out and drives us in the ground and whoop us I will come back to eat every single word I said and apologize for being wrong. Hope both teams play injury free the whole 48 minutes and hope both teams have injury free practices too

Finishing tied for 5th in State is a heck of a run. Fulshear is definitely a solid team with only 4 losses all year but it didn't appear BH ever hit on all cylinders in either game at regionals like they did against Friendswood.

Yep, Fulshear was a 6A, almost right after the last realignment. The most significant difference between the two offenses was that Fulshear was full steam ahead on swinging away; there was too much firepower from their outside hitters. Difficult for BH's defense to pick up all those missiles being fired at them. Overall, BH had a great run and beat outstanding teams in Foster, Friendswood, and College Station; not a bad showing.

I don't have any insight into Coldspring's circumstances, other than they played with my head on the pickems just about every week.

Another weird end to a weird season. The only team I could compare them to this year is Coldspring. They played tough teams all year, and competed pretty well, narrowly losing several games to very good competition, only to get boatraced in their last game of the season in a game where a lot of folks expected them to keep it close, if not win. Oddly enough, just like WOS, this season was basically a carbon copy of last year's for Coldspring.

Kind of surprised that the computer ranks are favorable to BH with Richland being 11-0 Max Preps has us ranked 13 and Richland 16 Cal Preps has us favored 38-31 It’s all due to their district and schedule strength, but thought they would get the nod👍. Rankings don’t matter though BH has to come to play and getting the ground game going is key.

Yeah, keep them kids on stand by. If they're not needed, they don't play this game. If the game starts to look a little rough and we need them, use them sparingly. We're going to need our players at nearly 100 percent for Bellville.

Kilgore's QB is Passing 103-162 1797 yds 17 TDS 4 int Rushing 81 carries 759 yds 14 TDS we have 4 rb's with each of them rushing for over 400 yds each. One rb has 10 TDS the other 3 rb's have 8 TDS between all of them. Kilgore on Offense through 11 games 425 points scored Passing- 103-162 1797 yds 17 TDS 5 int Rushing- 290 carries 2445 yds 37 TDS Defense has given up 167 points through 11 games.

looking at your schedule I would think you could keep those game (on different weeks, if scheduling allows of course) liberty replaces Splendora other than you played the entire "new" district this season

Bellville will defeat Madisonville. Bellville will defeat Silsbee and go on to eventually lose to Carthage in the state finals in a close game.

PNG’s crowd is amazing, but I will say Katy has sold out their side of Legacy Stadium multiple times since it’s been built. You can find pictures with the Katy crowd overflowing onto the hills.

Woodville had multiple D1 guys last year and lost to Hitchcock. According to my friends D1 players are only Hype.

Yea, I took my high school daughter to that game and she absolutely couldn’t believe the PNG crowd. Especially when I told her they had to drive 2 hours. We were on the LH side, so we got a good look at it. It was amazing and pretty cool to see that level of support.

Yeah it was great game I remember it was low scoring 10-3 or something like that with Bay City winning I think it was in round 3 or 4, Bay City had some battles with Nederland in the quarterfinals in the late 90s… that why I asking if they was ever 5A I remember these schools playing bay city but haven’t in some years.

Silsbee has made it to regional finals 4 times (2015, 2018, 2019, 2022) in last 8 years, winning it twice (2018, 2019)

Didn't help that the up ref in the match didn't seem to have a grasp of some of the basic rules of volleyball. That being said, Fulshear came to play and were hitting absolute bombs. Congrats to the Chargers on a good win and good luck at State. Congrats to the Eagles for a dominating district run and a great playoff run. Hopefully, realignment can work in their favor to get them moved to a new, more competitive district. More of the same, plus two more BISD schools, is not what the program needs to grow.

Yea, but no… it won’t get better without a change, but just changing for the sake of changing won’t do the trick. There might be a half dozen men (of any color) in the state that have a proven record of doing what has been done in WOS over the last few decades. There might be a half dozen currently coaching who will one day prove themselves capable of what’s been done in WOS. Jerry Jones once claimed that there were 500 coaches capable of leading the Cowboys to a Championship…. They haven’t won one since. Hickman isn’t the problem. He’s a decent coach… Y’all are just used to elite coaching and the odds of y’all attracting (much less hiring) an elite coach are practically non-existent.

UIL allows HISD schools to opt and stay in one district. Until they do something to stop these schools, then other schools should be allowed to opt up. HISD uses it for the same reason, they cannot compete in other districts as a whole. Can Liberty and HJ compete in 4D1? Not sure, but I bet it's more competitive than playing in their current district.

Trump just kinda seems like he's losing it. Not the nomination, just inside his head. His behavior, statements, and actions seem more and more erratic. I dunno. I really hope he doesn't win the nomination, but I assume it's coming. His campaign really sent a bird cage and bird seed to Nikki Haley's hotel? And this was after he referred to her as a bird brain? is he 9 years old? Not to mention the foolish behavior in court.

HJ and Liberty currently compete in all sports from junior high up to varsity against Liberty, Huffman, Livingston, Splendora and Hamshire-Fannett. Football is the only district that doesn't look like that. So to me if there's no rule against it and they choose to move up, let it be.
