Speaking of PNG, this is interesting for anyone who wants a nostalgia trip. I don't specifically remember the year or score, but I know Silsbee won the first game I attended against Jasper. The game ended in a tie, but Silsbee got the win for some reason. I know it was a very low scoring game. Randy Matthews was QB that year. Games over off 7th street were crazy. Even if you didn't go and lived on 2nd street or something, you could hear nearly everything if you opened your door, and sometimes you didn't need to do that. Bet a lot of the people who lived even closer were glad when the games moved.

If you hadn't posted that, I was gonna change my screen name to @BMT_Smash_Mouth. Guess that's ruined now...

It's like one school made halftime adjustments and 1 didn't. After going up 21-14, they were outscored 28-7. That's neither here nor there. I'm hoping for a win to send them back to 5A on a positive note...

Fact is that particular person (M.G. like you put it) that you're talking about made the playoffs in an EXTREMELY weak district. Those two years, they took consecutive losses to Baytown teams. When was the last time that a Beaumont Team lost to a Baytown team prior to that? Those two years, BU backed into the playoffs as the 4th place team with losing records each year. And the Kicker. They scored a total of ZERO points combined while giving up like a total of 150 in those same two playoff games. Now THOSE are facts. And you with the BISD Dysfunction comment. Pretty lame way to end that post if you ask me.

After watching the district play out this year I’ll give my non-biased opinion. Barbers Hill can make it 3 rounds for sure because they are the most complete when healthy. PAM has a lot of talent but something is missing. You can’t come out struggle with teams you should dominate and then turn on the switch. They get off to that signature slow start in the playoffs, it could be over before you know it. LaPorte is scrappy, tricky, and doesn’t back down so it depends on their matchup, but a disciplined defense that stays home could give them fits. Then it’s whoever faces Longview(Porter), you guys had a good season! Good luck to all and don’t take it personal, is just an opinion. 2-2 maybe 1-3.

After going back and researching the series, this is correct with the addition of last year's win. Current series is 43-34-2 Jasper. Silsbee will be trying for their 5th straight win and 7 of last 8 in this series.

the other qb is more of a runner and needs some weight. the starter is good when no pressure is applied. he stares down wr's and force stuff. i would say 50%of the time he can run for big yardage, but don't.

I have watched 4 games for Brenham this season. I also watched some highlights from others they have played. PN-G has the size advantage on both lines. Looks from video to be a fairly large advantage between the Indians O line and Brenham's D Line. Any team can win any week in the playoffs. That being said this Brenham team doesn't look as strong as last seasons did. Brenham fans please travel safe to the Reservation and best of luck. You guys have some of the best fans in the area. I have nothing but respect for your fans, and program. I look at Dayton the same way. That being said I do hope the Indians win this one. See you in on the 10th.
