You history buffs check this please. I think Coach Prouse and his Staff have the most wins in Deweyville football history. Their are a few schools that won State Championships last year that did not throw the football at all. This is just a observation TEAM speed kills. The Pirates will bounce back from this setback and be even stronger for it. The players are on this form and read this stuff. I wish what they read was everyone in the Deweyville community was supporting our football team (Coaches and Players) win, lose or draw. Go Pirates!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I'm getting off my soap box now.

for those of u traveling to this game, i suggest to leave no later than 4:30!! i live in TC and coming down 146 is a nightmare in the evening time due to construction and refinery traffic.

In all fairness to 14.2, I would be frustrated as a parent too. Here is what I see, and this is only surface level. His son went from a “ featured” RB to a blocker slotted in the WR spot. He probably never lined up in the WR in his life. He is playing out of position, wonder how many other players are in the same boat. His son is a senior and had no opportunity to seek other options. He did what he could as a parent and met with the new coach and I would assume they came to an agreement to be a RB, but…… His son went from a player line up in the backfield to a slot WR. I can bet everyone on this thread would feel some kinda way too.

You are completely wrong. Todd Sutherland never, ever was an assigner for the local chapter nor has he had any kind of position of that nature with the local chapter. Also, Sutherland no longer officiates. This info comes straight from the source and other officials in the chapter. Also, coaches from both teams has to agree to the officiating crew for that game. This is done before the season is started. Crews are not assigned. Coaches select the crews and are agreed upon. Been this way for many years. You are very much mistaken on Todd Sutherland and the officiating process.

PNG will need to step it up on offense. If they do they’ll take the win. If not TC wins this game. Defense alone want win this game. I Think PNG could be awesome if they could get their offense clicking like their defense. I’m taking TC in this one, but PNG could be great if they get the offense clicking. I know that high school football is a way of life in Texas but however, I don't understand. Do they need a new stadium when they already have a big one? Prosper used to play their games at some middle school which used to be their high school (which probably middle school/junior high and Sub-varsity games are played there now as well as soccer). Could that money better used toward something else like spending on teachers and students?

Yep. Kid went from being all-district RB last year to playing in the slot. Those 23 carry’s for 146 yards were hard yards due to an o-line that does not block or doesn’t know their assignments. The coach has no clue. Levi was pounding for six yards per carry up the middle, then tries to run a jet sweep on 4th and inches. That’s just one instance of the insane play calling.

A lot of schools use the same ones…. I’ve yet to find out of another school using that one

Just thought this might be appropriate . I hear the transfer portal is already gearing up for this much anticipated year. Several players from North Shore, Aledo and Duncanville have already meet with 14.2 and the papers are signed. All home games next year will be at Reliant Stadium due to all of the national coverage demand. Buckle up Coogs fans this is going to be a year to remember

Not counting FBM out, but will they have it together before their game with TC next week. They have Dayton the last game of regular season, so they should be ready for that one. If TC can beat them, I think FBM will be out of the hunt for DC.

Lumberton’s OL starting to get things figured out, seen lineman staying with their blocks and going down field with the play looking for someone to block. Also on a play that Tatum LB stunted thru the gap on passing play, RB made the block and allowed QB to complete pass . Defense made adjustments and controlled the line of scrimmage. Lot less penalties.These are the types of things that a good team will do. 👍👍👍👍

I was there. Slot T worked very very well. Scored on first play and 4 of the first 5 possessions. Buna had no answer. Orangefield won the line of scrimmage on both sides. Emphatically.

It could happen. We always have talent coming up. How it will be evaluated and utilized is the question. There are certain factors that would need drastic improvement.

This would be a good game to work on some deep balls. Hes getting better with putting some air under them, but still can be a bit flat. Just need to get through game and out of by week with no injuries.(knock on wood) Just got to focus one game at a time, at least HF is at home.

It’s really hard for me to bash Monty Barrow. He was the offensive mind behind Coach Newman. Is he a good head coach? Something is not quite there yet. He is surrounded by a good staff. He’s got to find that button and press it to make every Nederland kid want run through a brick wall for him.

There are undoubtedly reasons that you have no idea about. Most importantly.. that it’s completely the coach’s decision. The coach that continues to be successful.. and led EC on a very deep run relatively recently. Yeah, I’m trusting his intuition over.. well.. yours for sure. Certainly you don’t think this kid should’ve played over last year’s district MVP? Certainly not. Yeah.. it’s bad timing for the kid. I really don’t have any idea, but, if the senior is evenly remotely close to the young kid as far as talent… I’d personally go with the younger kid. Because he’ll improve with experience. Who cares if the senior improves.. for next year? He’ll be gone.
